I have visited Meadow House NursingHome since it first was opened. A friend of mine was helped here whilst his MS worsened. At the open day a very happy and vibrant occasion, Saturday 11/5/19, my opinion was further cemented. No fuss-service as normal and I was struck by how the carers/supporters were so "in tune" to the needs of their residents that when a bell rang for help, four people quietly left the proceedings without any eye has profoundly/complex learning and physically disabled so I have seen many residential units and hospitals - this one is fantastic. I will be speaking to the Council as to how I can go about path improvement to Meadow House. I walked and had to go on the main road when the path runs out. Those walking or in a wheelchair - dangerous access to the town.
Very satisfied with the care provided with my husband's respite care. Nothing is too much trouble and keeps you informed if there is a problem ie fall etc.
It is a lovely home, which well deserves its rating. I will recommend it if anyone requires a nursing home. It is like a home from home.
The management and staff at Meadow House have created a warm, friendly and caring environment for the residents. I personally witness the residents treated with friendship and respect by all the staff who interacted with them. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that my mum is being cared for by such wonderful people. Everyone I saw at Meadow House really does care about the residents.
Nothing is too much trouble, I always feel at home when I visit.
The staff at Meadow House are wonderful. They are so happy and caring. They all deserve a medal for their kindness.
My Mum has been a resident for about a year and she needs 24-hour care but has been treated with dignity, friendliness and excellent care since she came to Meadow House. My Mum experienced a severe brain injury, and as a family, we were unsure how she would progress, but since being a resident here she has improved continuously. The level of care and amount of resident involvement cannot be faulted. An excellent care provider.
Meadow House is such a lovely nursing home. I can not recommend it enough. My Mum has improved tremendously since she has been here. My Mum is in very safe hands and I feel so relieved there was a room available when she needed it.
I can't praise the staff enough. Everyone is very friendly to her and her family.
Management and staff could not have been more helpful. In the height of our most stressful time, they made making decisions for mum much lighter to undertake. Such a blessing to know mum is in safe hands.
Such a welcoming home here at Meadow House. As mum's primary carer it was such a hard decision to move her into residential care but the staff here have made the transition so gentler. She is an individual here whose voice is heard. The care team have been amazing with her and I can now rest knowing she is in safe hands. Thank you all at Meadow House.
The staff are always very friendly and helpful. All extremely caring and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of organised events, quiz's, bingo and trips. The residents are always happy and have only good things to say about being here.
Went to Meadow House for a Monday visit to see my friend, I always commend the home as it is always clean, friendly and very professional state throughout. We also took part in a quiz in the afternoon, it was great to see what the residents knew knowledge wise and great to see them in a relaxed environment, this was conducted in an excellent way. We always come away from there thinking what a great place.
Meadow House is very pleasant, bright and homely feel and nice surroundings. I have always found the staff to be very friendly, polite and helpful. I very much appreciate all the care and everything they do for my friend.
My brother has received excellent care, particularly during his recent illness. The staff and management have also treated me with consideration.
I cannot thank this amazing home enough. My daughter comes here for respite while I went on holiday, the staff went above and beyond. Outstanding doesn't come close - this care home has the most amazing caring staff I have ever come across. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any member of staff here, and for that, I can't thank this wonderful home and the amazing staff enough.
Whilst I was in the hospital I was visited by some of the staff and I feel this is my family and missed it so much.
I am back at Meadow House, the home where I belong and want to stay.
A pleasant homely atmosphere. Staff overall very caring and try to meet patients needs as much as possible. My husband's room is spacious and has a lovely view. Garden room light and modern.
My husband is a resident at Meadow House after he suffered a major brain injury. All the staff here are very good with him. He receives physiotherapy support and after 5 months of him being here, he has improved. My husband is happy and is well looked after and I am always made welcome here. The staff help us with translation as well.
In the last few months, the home has started to resemble an old people's home in both decor and activities provided.
Very happy with everything.

“Staff genuinely enjoy spending time with the residents - there are many young people at the home and the work we do to help can be very rewarding. We ensure that every resident is entrusted to our care - they become like family to us.”

“Prior to my job here at Meadow House I worked previously in accounts when I left school for a large department store. To be good in my position I think you need to have good interaction with staff, residents, relatives and professionals. An ability to work under pressure and to meet targets. The best bit of my day is achieving set tasks and leaving enough time to attend to our residents”

“I decided to apply for my job at Meadow House after an interview I realised what a great place it would be to work. I think that my ability to listen, organisational skills and understanding of individual’s needs makes me stand out. I enjoy the variety of jobs that come my way and the interaction with the residents and staff”
