My father came to stay at Grove Court for respite care. He really enjoyed his stay & we thought that the team were amazing with him & he loved having some good laughs & great care from them. The food looked fabulous and there was a great selection.
The grounds of Grove Court are beautiful and so well maintained. My father enjoyed watching the birds from his window.

We would certainly love to use the services of Grove Court again & highly recommend them.

We used Grove Court several times over the past year for respite care for my mother who suffers from Parkinson's and extreme anxiety. The staff are professional and caring and we were able to have complete confidence that Mum would be treated with respect and dignity even under difficult circumstances. It has a unique 'hotel' style atmosphere as opposed to a typical residential care home. It offers a wonderful menu every day and different activities during the week to cater for all tastes. There are numerous places to get away for peaceful times both inside and outside, as well as a lovely central reception area where you can sit and feel part of the comings and goings. Tea/coffee, cakes and fruit are available there all day for residents and their visitors.

I found myself bed bound after some difficulties after spinal surgery and was unable to cope at home.
After discussions it was agreed that they could help albeit an unusual situation as I was only 59 .
I was transported the next day on a spinal board via a private ambulance.
They handled all my needs for the next ten days eating, medication ,personal hygiene, organised doctor and physiotherapist visits.
With a great deal of care I was able to start getting out of bed with assistance and over the next two weeks I was able to become more independent and after four weeks I walked out of there with the aid of a walking stick back home.
The care I received while I was there was of the highest standard , delivered with respect and a degree of humour which I needed.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received from all the people involved and my family and I will be forever grateful for the care I received and we couldn't have coped without them.

My close friend has been a resident at Grove Court for 9 months now. At age 96, the decision for her to enter residential care for the first time was a daunting prospect, as my friend is a very private person. Being encouraged to customise her room with personal items, wall mounted pictures and furniture most certainly helped her settle. This extraordinary establishment, and I really mean that, did the rest to ease her into this new phase of her life. This doesn't happen by accident of course. I regularly witness, first hand, from all staff members, whatever their role, humanity, patience, tenderness, professionalism, and a devotion to duty directed towards my friend and all other residents. I rest easy knowing my friend is safe, secure, loved, expertly medically supervised, extremely well nourished and supported at Grove Court. The whole place has the relaxed informal feel of a village. Thank goodness we were recommended Grove Court. Thank you all for looking after my friend.

I've been a resident at Grove Court for only six weeks but already I feel it's home. This is partly because I've been able to embellish my room with some furniture, books, and pictures from my old home. And partly because I can choose great three-course meals from a daily changing menu. But it's mainly because of the comprehensive care provided by the dedicated staff. All of them - carers, nurses, admin, chefs, hostesses, handymen, gardeners - work together as a team to provide the best possible service to the residents. More than that, they engage with residents in a friendly manner that makes us all feel part of the same flourishing community. That's a great achievement by imaginative and devoted managers.

Grove Court has proved to be a wonderful home for my father. It's really hard to move from your own place with all your things around you, to a place full of strangers and unfamiliar systems. Everyone, and I mean everyone, at Grove Court has been welcoming, kind, attentive to my dad's needs, warm and very human! The care is exemplary and the atmosphere is lovely. We are lucky to have found them and this is the quality of care that every one of us should have when we need it.

I must say how impressed I continue to be with the standards of personal and medical care my wife receives at Grove Court. I would also like to thank the general manager and all the support staff for the assistance they have given to both of us. This month the kitchen staff deserve a special mention for having provided pureed food for my wife, they have shown a genuine interest in helping to find the type of meals that she enjoys. Although at present she remains reliant on a fifteen-hour liquid feed each day, this is the first step in the long task of getting her back to eating solid food again.

My mother-in-law arrived at Grove Court 3 years ago - initially for a period of respite care. Following the death of her husband and COVID, she had not been coping at home and we could see that she was not looking after herself, was lonely and becoming increasingly isolated. Under the gentle care of the staff at Grove Court, she blossomed - and after 3 months declared that she would like to make Grove Court her permanent home. There is a certain magic at work there. The outstanding General Manager has managed to create a very special place in Grove Court. It feels like home - warm, cosy and welcoming, the food is excellent and the range of activities available is amazing but it is the staff who make it the home that it is. Everyone from the cleaners and gardeners to the carers and senior nursing staff works seamlessly as a team to provide a truly personal and unique service to their residents. Nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend it more highly.

My wife has been a resident at Grove Court for two years following a debilitating stroke. The standard of care and personal connection between the staff and my wife is exceptional. Activities are imaginative and varied. The food is excellent. Communication is smooth, suggestions and requests invariably and efficiently met. Visiting every week as I and my wife's friends do is something to look forward to at Grove Court. Importantly as my wife's principal carer, I also feel supported.

Mum arrived at Grove Court just as lockdown was starting in March 2020, living with Parkinson's disease and struggling with mobility and regular falls. Despite the obvious issues around lockdown she thrived from day one, feeling at home and cared for in every way; from great food, great company, great activities (post lockdown) and especially great warmth from an incredible staff of dedicated, compassionate and caring people.

As soon as lockdowns lifted Mum was also able to enjoy the social side of life at Grove Court, meals together with friends, activities, the wonderful gardens and grounds and trips out and about. Mum's Parkinson's meant she was unable to continue safely at home but Grove Court was never a compromise, just an amazing way to enjoy her last few years until she passed peacefully, at Grove Court, in September 2024. We will be forever grateful to the team for creating such a wonderful environment to enjoy life to the maximum.

Our mum was a resident from March 2020 until this September when she sadly passed away.
The biggest compliment to Grove Court was that Mum called it her home. She absolutely loved her time at Grove Court on so many levels. The staff were like friends to Mum, but also there to look after her in the more challenging times. There is such a fantastic range of activities at Grove Court to keep all the resident's minds and bodies fully engaged, including trips out and about. As for the food, hats off to the catering team who go over and above with their wonderful menus. The setting itself is just wonderful, what a location! Situated in Woodbridge and surrounded by beautiful grounds and river views, it's truly idyllic!
And finally, the care given to Mum in her last few days was so amazing, such love and compassion were shown, and with a mixture of her favourite music playing in the background, bless her!

Thank you Grove Court, we couldn't have chosen a better home.

My mother has been a resident now for a few months and I can honestly say that it is one of the best decisions that, we as a family, have made in securing a place for her at Grove Court. The care provided has been absolutely first class and the staff, with the general manager leading, have been very professional, caring, friendly, and are always willing to please - in fact they go that extra mile to do so.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Grove Court in looking after your loved ones - no matter what their care needs are.

A very sincere thank you to all at Grove Court for making what could be a stressful situation - not one.

Grove Court has been the residence of our mother for almost two years now. The team were excellent in helping my mother during the transition from a spell in hospital to becoming a resident of the home and we have not looked back since. The care team are sensitive to people's needs and provides a tailored level of care as required on a daily basis. They are always upbeat and encouraging and also embrace the families of residents and their needs too.
The home itself is always welcoming upon arrival and has a nice, safe feel as soon as you enter reception where fresh, colourful flowers are often on display. The large grounds around the home provide some lovely outdoor space for residents and families to enjoy, including a summer house which is well-equipped.
The management team are always very welcoming, and understanding and often engages with residents and families which is great as we are made to feel part of the bigger family of Grove Court.

Overall, would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend The Grove enough for my mother who was deteriorating at home for reasons that are still not clear. She came into The Grove weighing about six stone and was extremely weak, sleeping the entire time and hardly talking. She was unable to eat and I thought she would never get better.
She left 5 weeks later at least a stone heavier, more engaged more lively and her whole body that was failing at home was much improved by a regime of delicious food, care and attention that was top tier. The staff were excellent. My mother is not the easiest resident and she was considered rather a naughty one (and perhaps she was one of the youngest) but from both sides I hear there was affection and I know she will miss that aspect enormously.

I would also like to mention the beautiful gardens and the location. Taking my mother up to the pub in her wheelchair past the beautiful houses was a highlight. Thank you to everyone who looked after my mother so well.

Grove Court is akin to a 5-star hotel, beautiful surroundings and manicured grounds. Mum's fall resulting in a fractured shoulder, required respite care. The manager at GC with great efficiency, coordinated everything; arranging a hospital assessment to securing a room. Within a day, Mum was settled at GC, seamlessly transported there.

Adjusting to a new environment can be daunting yet the warm and attentive staff made the transition easy. They radiated care and kindness. The facilities are impressive, indoor and outdoor spaces, dining rooms, a bar and piano. Visitors welcome anytime, also children and dogs, and complimentary refreshments. Mum enjoyed various personal care services including hairdressing and nail care. A wide range of activities is offered. The meals provided were tasty and nutritious. Mum's time at GC was enriching. Tears at departure spoke volumes of her stay. GC goes beyond expectations, providing exceptional care and fostering a supportive community for its residents.

My 91-year-old mother stayed in a respite room at Grove Court for 5 weeks to recover from a hospital stay before being able to return to her own home where she lives independently. The management team assisted me greatly by being so accommodating in arranging, and then extending, her stay. The care staff were friendly, taking time to chat with her and make sure she was always comfortable. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless and laundry done regularly. As she regained her strength she thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food and varied menu. Apart from her lovely sunny bedroom overlooking the river there were a number of comfortable lounges for her to sit in with visitors.

Thank you Grove Court!

My mother became a resident at Grove Court in 2019 when she broke her wrist after a fall at home and could no longer manage on her own.
From the beginning, she was very happy. She enjoyed the camaraderie and the activities on offer and joined in at every opportunity. She was always very positive about her care and was always clean, neat and tidy whatever time of day I visited.
All the carers were very kind and always willing to chat to me about Mum. They were quick to call the appropriate agency if there was any problem with Mum's health and to inform me of their action.

I have been very happy with the care my mother has received during the five years of her residency.
