I cannot speak highly enough of Grove Court. My mum moved there earlier this year and has received nothing but kindness, support and high quality care. She is often greeted with hugs and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Not only is the setting beyond beautiful, with the river in the distance, the
gardens abundant with flowers, trees and seating, but the home itself is awash with flowers, clean, with lovely living rooms and activity room. A special mention to the pastoral and activities team too, who are also brilliant. Creative, inventive, sparky, fun... every day there is at least one activity, be it yoga, choir, book club, art, gardening etc. There are lovely high days and holidays too, which the home organise from Abba Day to Suffolk Day... not when there is a positive celebratory feel around the place. Lunch and dinner are served in a beautiful room with balcony over looking the river and the choices and quality of food is excellent. I am so happy we found this place.

My dad received the best care at Grove Court from the time of his admission for respite care in July to the time he sadly passed away in September. Dad had been living alone for many years until he could no longer manage on his own. He did not want to leave his home but once he was at Grove Court, he
appreciated the care and company Grove Court could provide. The staff were amazing and treated him as part of a big family. Although Dad was not at Grove Court for long, he was treated with care and dignity throughout. I also valued the care that the staff gave to me and my family. They were extremely helpful in explaining everything to me when Dad became terminally ill and they were always there for me. I cannot speak highly enough of Grove Court. Everything was wonderful - the staff, rooms, food, activities, cleanliness, etc. all were top quality. Thank you to Grove Court for looking after my lovely, funny dad so well.

I was there for 2 weeks after a knee replacement. It's a lovely light and airy building, thoroughly clean and with beautiful grounds. But.... the best part is the staff, every one of them so friendly, helpful and caring. I would thoroughly recommend it.

A stay of three weeks having booked for two but the benefits were so great I thought why not! A lot of online research was done by my family until Grove Court showed up. A personal visit by a daughter and friend confirmed the decision - this was the place for their elderly mother. How right they were.
Respite care at its best. Peace and friendship bordering on affection from top management down through all employees. All in lovely grounds bordering on beautiful countryside. Excellent choices on the menu with food served on to immaculate table linen. I shall certainly be back if unhappily the need arises - and who knows when age reaches out eventually.

I would recommend Grove Court to anyone. It is situated in a lovely area with views over the fields to the river and with beautiful gardens. The staff are wonderful and caring, meals are appetising and always with a choice. I have already booked my next visit.

We found everyone at Grove Court to be very helpful and friendly. Following an operation, my mother needed respite care quickly and they were really efficient and helpful. It was such a great help. Whilst staying, my mother had a very restful time and was well cared for.

Wow - what an amazing care home! Every single member of staff is welcoming, polite, respectful, kind and compassionate. The home is spotlessly clean, the communal areas bright and welcoming and there is an overall feeling of happiness. My mother has struggled to accept her move into a care home but
the staff have tailored their care so she feels secure and, over time, is much more settled. The leadership team are exemplary and instils a first-class culture which transcends throughout Grove Court. My mother has received the most kindest and compassionate care which enables us, as a family, to have peace of mind which is priceless. There is a wide-ranging activities programme available. The food looks good and the team have actively sought out my mother's likes and dislikes and is very accommodating of her preferences. I could not leave a review without mentioning the amazing grounds and gardens - simply beautiful and very well maintained. I have no hesitation in recommending Grove Court.

My husband was a resident in Grove Court for two years over which period he received excellent care and attention. I visited the home almost every day and always found it impeccably clean and tidy. The residents all seemed happy and content and I was made to feel one of the family. All staff very quickly
became aware of and greeted me by my name. The gardens are exceptionally well looked after and it was a pleasure to be able to push my husband around the grounds on a sunny day. My husband always praised the standards of catering and enjoyed being able to meet with other residents in the restaurant. I could not have chosen a nicer home for my husband to spend his final days.

A dear friend of mine has just passed away in Grove Court having lived there for six and a half years.
The loving care she received throughout those years was exemplary and she considered Grove Court her home. The staff always made her visitors feel welcome and the building itself was always clean
and tidy, with lovely seasonal displays of flowers on the grounds.
As her dementia declined she still recognised and felt safe with the staff who looked after her and the staff encouraged her to do any activities that she could still manage. Whenever I visited she was comfortable, clean and had easy and prompt access to staff.
Her end-of-life wishes were taken into account and followed. The staff kept me informed and were supportive of me as well.

Grove Court has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness and standards of care are outstanding. During my sister's recent stay, the Grove Court team made my sister feel very cared for and special, and my sister has had a very memorable stay. I cannot fault any aspect of the care provided.
All meals and food are cooked on-site to a very high standard, and there is an amazing activity programme to suit all tastes. I cannot recommend Grove Court highly enough.

Dad moved to Grove Court in September 2020 and sadly passed away in November 2022, aged 94. He had decided he needed the facilities of a residential home having found it increasingly difficult to cope at home following a number of falls. Whilst the initial move was difficult due to the Covid regulations,
the staff at the home made the move a welcome one for him. The staff have been excellent, from reception through to the Care base team and we could not have wanted anything more for Dad. Catering was often described by Dad as Restaurant quality and he enjoyed the organised social events. Towards the end, the support, care and compassion given to Dad was outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending Grove Court.

I came from a knee replacement at the hospital after 2 days there. I needed a bit of a break before returning alone to my home. Wonderful help and I was up and walking with aids the next day. I stayed ten days here. Great place - food and staff. I made a good choice. Thank you.

We are so pleased that our friends recommended Grove Court. Our mother was understandably concerned about the move from her own flat to home but she very quickly found her feet. She found having like-minded people around stimulating as she had increasingly been on her own all day. She enjoys her garden
room and the ability to take walks on the grounds secure in the knowledge that, if she falls, she can call for help using the home key fob. The Grove Court team are wonderful. The gardens are an ever-changing delight, the catering wonderful and thoughtful, events and tours are frequent and fun and the medical team is caring and attentive. I cannot imagine a better place for her to be.

My mum lived at Grove Court for the last three years of her life. We wanted a nursing home where Mum would be happy and receive the best level of nursing care. Grove Court delivered on both fronts. Mum settled in very quickly, made lots of friends and was extremely happy. Nothing was too much trouble
and every member of staff was professional, helpful and very caring. I could see that Mum was in safe hands and was given the highest standards of care. The home has a very welcoming feel and the facilities and social activities, ranging from one-to-one sessions right up to outings, are amazing.
Even during the pandemic when we could not visit, we had regular e-mail updates. The high standard of care was maintained and the staff never tired of my daily phone calls to see how Mum was doing. The social events team arranged for us to see Mum on Skype calls twice a week which was fantastic.
I have no hesitation in recommending Grove Court as an outstanding home.

My stay came up to my expectations of a week's holiday. I was able to see my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Parties almost daily. Followed my daughter's programme so did not need to partake in activities, at home I do. I met other friends from Norfolk. A happy friendly place. I agree that anyone
sits anywhere for meals, but in my case, I would have liked a member of staff to find a place for me. Myself, staff and visitors could not turn on TV or off, it was not a case of batteries. The TV should be checked before a new person comes into a room. There was a blip one morning in my routine - I received an apology. The room was not cleaned every day.

My mother stayed at Grove Court for a week. This enabled me to visit my family and see my new grandchild. My mother was apprehensive as it was to be her first time staying in a care home.
Her room and surroundings were clean, bright and comfortable. The support and care she received from the staff
was warm and caring which brought out Mum's personality.
Mum was pleased to return to her own bed after her week's stay but the most important thing to mention is Mum will happily stay again at Grove Court when the need arises. The week's stay has now removed the stress and anxiety that comes alongside the need for support for our elderly loved ones when we are unable to be there. Thank you to all at Grove Court.

A dear friend of mine initially went to Grove Court last year for respite care which was then extended and she ended up staying until she passed away last month aged nearly 94. The care she received at all times during her stay was superb and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel at home
and also to support her in her final hours. The location and grounds are beautiful, the food and menu choices excellent and everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. A variety of activities were always on offer and my friend particularly enjoyed an outing to Felixstowe and a trip around Woodbridge! I always received a warm welcome when visiting and communication was always excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Grove Court to anyone looking for a caring, supportive home from home.

My father initially came to Grove Court Care Home for two weeks of respite following the sad death of his wife. Although initially reticent about using a care home, after four days, he made the decision to stay in the home permanently. He quickly found that the excellent staff, facilities and care made
him comfortable and welcome. He was also pleased to have a new social life, with staff providing social activities which he could join in with other residents, ensuring that he didn't have to spend his final year alone.
In short, Grove Court made every effort to make my father's stay pleasurable, even during Covid lockdown, with nothing ever being too much trouble to the care home and its staff.

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have spent the last 10 years working in a care setting developing my knowledge and growing to love this profession, I have a true passion for delivering person-centred care to the highest standard. Well-being and enrichment are my focus here at Grove Court for both staff and residents.


My drive and dedication will enable us to continue delivering the best care for our residents along with maintaining independence, freedom of choice and having a jolly good time. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than a room full of smiling faces and the sound of laughter around our beautiful home. I feel very privileged to be given the opportunity to be the General Manager of Grove Court with an amazing team around me.
