My mum has been resident at Grove Court since September 2019, having managed to live alone with some limited care until the age of 97. After a serious illness and two major operations, Mum needed to move to a care home near our family home. We knew Grove Court well already as my mother-in-Law had lived there happily for the last 2 1/2 years of her life. From the moment that the manager met my mum for an assessment in the hospital, the care shown for my mum at every stage has been amazing. Mum has regained weight, eats well and feels very comfortable at Grove Court. She and we think very, very highly of the manager and her entire team and the provision for residents from medical supervision, through food, cleaning, hygiene, events and entertainment is of the highest order. At all levels, the Grove Court team has handled the huge challenges presented the pandemic extraordinarily well. I fully and wholeheartedly recommend Grove Court.

My mother has been in Grove Court for a number of years and has always said that moving in, from living on her own, was the best decision she has made in her life. She is looked after so well by all the friendly professional staff. The exceptional level of care has been amplified through this awful Coronavirus pandemic which Grove Court has handled magnificently. I cannot praise all the staff highly enough.
It is in tough exceptional circumstances that the best flourish. It is so reassuring to not have to worry about how my mother is coping and this down to the management and staff of Grove Court.

Thanks to all of them.

Thank you so much for your support. Our stable staff group means they know our residents needs and preferences really well and that has made adapting things to be safer easier than they could have been. We have worked as a team and families are very much part of the Gove Court Team!

The standard of care at Grove Court are second to none and the manager and her entire staff have done an amazing job during this pandemic. It has not been easy I’m sure, but everything has been done to keep residents and staff as safe as possible. I can not recommend the home highly enough.

I cannot speak too highly of the considerate, kind and professional attention that my mother has enjoyed during her time at Grove Court. All of the team from the general manager to all of the nursing, catering, cleaning and facilities staff have demonstrated kindness and courtesy and shown respect for my mother's dignity as well as her medical and personal needs. The facilities, grounds, rooms, lounges and dining areas are impeccable and of 5-star hotel standard and the food is so good that we have dined here ourselves several times.
Mum has been able to personalise her room with her own furniture, pictures and television.
The staff are always considerate, cheerful and bright and have time to care as well as to chat and engage with mum. Hygiene and cleanliness are faultless. The nursing team always have time to discuss mum's medical care regime with the family and are more than happy to do so.

When specialist care or equipment has been required, it has appeared quickly and without fuss. The location is ideal, with lovely views and lots of interest in the grounds and gardens. I give Grove Court the highest possible recommendation.

I was only in Grove Court for a two-week break from the 15th of October and did not need any care. However, I dod stay in Grove Court two years ago after being ill with pneumonia and found the care/staff excellent. I was in there for a month at that time.

My mother spent 7 months at Grove Court before sadly passing away. She needed a lot of nursing care which she got and was well looked after. The staff here who looked after mum were extremely caring and did their job well and had mums best interests at heart. It gave me peace of mind to know that she was being well looked after.

My darling mother, who had advanced cancer, spent the last five months of her life at Grove Court, following three months in another local care home. I cannot praise the staff at Grove Court enough for her care, particularly at the end of her life when she required a lot of professional nursing. If it was possible I would rate Grove Court as 'Exceptional' and 'Exemplary' and give it 10/10 for all relevant criteria.

The care and kindness of staff during my 2-week post-operative care was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, despite the heat!! The meals were delicious and the grounds beautiful. Part of me wants to go home but another part wants to stay!!

My mother, aged 102, was at Grove Court Woodbridge for just over 3 weeks at the end of her life. She had a lovely room, overlooking a quiet courtyard and the care and attention she received from all members of staff was exemplary. It was a great relief to the family to know that she was in such good hands.

I moved into Grove Court in June 2013. I didn't bother to visit other care homes in the Woodbridge area as having lived in the town for 40 odd years and having heard good reports of Grove Court it seemed the obvious choice for me.

I am still only 79 years old, which is young considering the wonderful age of some of the residents, but I have both MS and Parkinson's disease and needed full-time care. The care and support I have received have been very good. The staff are attentive and generally bright and cheerful and some will go the extra mile in helping when needed.

Grove Court is an enjoyable home from home. The ability to bring one's own possessions to make your room welcoming is very important and much appreciated by me.

I have lived at Grove Court for 6 years and have been very well looked after by nurses and carers, chiropodist, hairdresser, opticians and all who visit my room. I have an electric wheelchair and take myself to lunch in the dining room, and a variety of talks, music and films in various lounges, and around the beautifully kept gardens. My room is attractive and I have pictures and photos which remind me of my home and it is well cleaned by cleaning staff.

I would highly recommend this care home. It has excellent facilities, with nice large rooms overlooking the well-kept gardens. The care given by both the nurses and carers are excellent. The meals are varied and well balanced and there is no problem with requesting food which is not on the menu.

Nurses and carers are excellent, friendly and very helpful.

Food good in the dining room but not so good on a tray in rooms. Suppers are very bad - dried up lumps in the microwave. Stodge at 5.30 and nothing till 9 am.

Difficult to coordinate pills as stipulated by doctors with food in mornings if on end of the line.

Not enough fruit and salad.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the room service meals did not meet your expectations. This is a matter I am reviewing with the catering team. My elderly cousin spent his last two years at Grove Court. He was a solitary man who did not socialise much but he was so well cared for and happy there. He told me that the staff were wonderful but the food only "quite good." He did not enter into activities - which was a pity but his choice.

I have spent 10 days respite care after foot surgery.

I received excellent care and attention to my needs which were uncertain when I arrived, two hours after surgery.

I have had a complete rest, well-aired room, which I needed. Views of flowers and balcony from my bed, recliner chair was provided to keep my foot elevated, I was only able to put foot to ground five minutes in the hour.

I enjoyed physio-jerks and yoga-jerks during my short stay and I was very happy.

This is an excellent care home. The management and staff are welcoming, kind, attentive, caring and go that extra mile for the residents. The bedrooms are well-sized airy and have views over the gardens and towards the river. The nursing care is superb. Meals are prepared and cooked with care. If I was old enough and required a care home, I'd pick Grove Court!
