Culverhayes Nursing Home was originally Culverhayes School. It occupies a prime position at the highest point of Lymore Avenue, with spacious grounds and stunning views of Bath.

The home has three separate wings dedicated to care and support to meet the varying types and levels of need of the people living in the home.

The Cherryblossom GF/FF and Bluebell Wings are environments for mental disorder and/or dementia. The Cherryblossom FF Wing is designed primarily for dementia care for those in the middle to late stages of dementia, who might require extra support.

The home has been decorated to enable stimulation and orientation and the grounds contain safe and secure areas enabling Residents to move freely. Residents have the convenience of a local corner shop, which is frequently visited for everyday items. The adjacent playing grounds also contribute to the real community atmosphere surrounding Culverhayes.

Long or short-term care, respite, convalescence, and placement care is offered to those that need specialist care, and palliative care can also be provided.

My brother was at Culverhayes for only 3 months before he died there of Alzheimer's. He was already a shadow of his former self in spite of excellent care at another care home. With hindsight it was good for him to have made this move. The staff at Culverhayes are numerous, always ready to help, always
so kind and gentle, always smiling. It was reassuring that nursing staff were on duty 24 hours a day and entertainment staff to pass the days.

On my visit with my sister to see him on 11th July, for his birthday, was concerned to notice his hair looked as if it need a cut & his nostril hair also needed seeing to. In the past this has always been seen to. We wish to know who prescribed all the tablets he is taking & why this is?

The first impression was when I viewed the home was very clean which is very important for me. The surrounding were beautiful and rooms were bright with ensuite bathroom very clean too. I found manager and staff helpful + friendly caring and competent. I feel confident that my dear husband will settled
and be happy nothing is too much trouble whatever they are asked to do and they do it, it with kindness so a happy care home.

Culverhayes has provided exceptional care to my father. To sustain this level of care with the demands they are faced with at times is a credit to them. The attention to individual needs, likes and dislikes of my father means that as family we can have time away from the nursing home knowing that his
needs are met.
The home liaises with the family when necessary and holds regular meetings to update/discuss the future of the nursing home and events upcoming.

I cannot sufficiently describe the sense of wellbeing that comes from knowing that a loved one is being properly cared for. The management and staff and Culveridge are exceptional. Cannot fault the care home. All the staff I have met are the kindest souls with patience and warmth rarely found. The management appear to be supportive of their staff and patients, and are very welcoming and generous with their time for families of residents.

I have nothing but praise for the care my husband receives, in my view the friendly + smiling staff do a very difficult job with respect, dignity + compassion, they are always alert and attentive to the residents and visitors needs. They also check that I am ok. I feel less stressed that he is well

My Friend has been at Culverhayes nursing home for nearly 3 years. The care she gets is great from all the staff are so friendly and caring. The food is lovely well balanced and good choice menu is change regularly so keeps meal time intresting. Over the last 3 years the home has gone through an amazing
transformation by there own team of trades people making it a bright and lovely environment for the residents.The gardens are lovely for a afternoon in the sun with my friend. The wellbeing staff are always coming up with entertainments to help the residents to relax and enjoy life. The house keeping team keep the place clean, and the residents cloths washed daily, so they always look there best. I could not have have found a better place for my friend.

I really cannot praise the staff in this home enough, they are caring, and patient with the residents, it almost brings a tear to my eye every time I visit to see how they are with them all. Dealing with dementia must be such a challenging role and I don't know how they do it day in and day out.
We
haven't met a single member of staff that have not given their all to provide the best possible level of care.
I could single out individuals but they are all so fantastic.
