Culverhayes Nursing Home was originally Culverhayes School. It occupies a prime position at the highest point of Lymore Avenue, with spacious grounds and stunning views of Bath.

The home has three separate wings dedicated to care and support to meet the varying types and levels of need of the people living in the home.

The Cherryblossom GF/FF and Bluebell Wings are environments for mental disorder and/or dementia. The Cherryblossom FF Wing is designed primarily for dementia care for those in the middle to late stages of dementia, who might require extra support.

The home has been decorated to enable stimulation and orientation and the grounds contain safe and secure areas enabling Residents to move freely. Residents have the convenience of a local corner shop, which is frequently visited for everyday items. The adjacent playing grounds also contribute to the real community atmosphere surrounding Culverhayes.

Long or short-term care, respite, convalescence, and placement care is offered to those that need specialist care, and palliative care can also be provided.

My mother has been in Hayes Unit for nearly a year and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are caring and attentive and know her needs inside out. My symptom is missed and their attention to detail is faultless. I know that my mother is being cared for in the best possible way.

My wife has been at Culverhayes for 8 years and throughout that time she has been looked after with great care and sympathy. Unavoidable changes of staff have been managed without any adverse effect on the quality of care. There is always a very happy and friendly atmosphere at the home and I am grateful

Culverhayes has been fantastic for my mum. The staff are exceptional. They are always warm, caring and genuinely friendly with Mum and help her with her daily needs. Mum is always well presented and clean which helps her keep her dignity. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

I am delighted with the care given to my husband by the dedicated staff at Culverhayes (Hayes unit). He always looks clean and tidy and reacts well when the carers try to talk to him. He is shown respect and kindness. My husband loves the food and is helped to eat it as this is necessary. They should
feel proud of the results they achieve, I am made to feel very welcome on my frequent visits.

I am satisfied with the care my husband receives, always plenty of food when I come to feed him. His clothes are always very clean, also my husband. His room is adequate for his needs. It is lovely to have a garden to take my husband in when the weather gets warmer.

Following my father having a lengthy hospital stay and his previous care home not being able to provide the care he would need, he took up residence in May 2018 and had a wonderful 10 months on the Lymore wing. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, caring and kind to him and he made some good friends,
both with the staff, other residents and visitors. This was a vast improvement on the previous couple of years prior to moving to Culverhayes where he had not wanted to mix with other people. The continuing wonderful care and warmth provided by the staff and management to both dad and us, the family, continued right up to dad sadly leaving us. At that distressing time, the staff and management provided great comfort and support to us helping us get through.
Thank you to all involved at Culverhayes Nursing Home in following the motto 'Giving life to years' for my father.

Over the 2.5 years my mother was at Culverhayes I was very pleased with the standard of care provided to her. This was given with the utmost affection, kindness and sensitivity by all members of staff. She had found it difficult to settle elsewhere but immediately responded well to the approach taken
at Culverhayes. I have only the highest praise for all the staff. Visitors are warmly welcomed and I have very happy memories of my mother's time there.
