I would like to take the time to say Thankyou to Osbourne Court Care Home.
My dad is currently living with Dementia and has been a resident at Osbourne Court Care Home, for the past 3 years.
All the staff go above and beyond. Dad is always smiling when I come to visit and so are all the other residents
which makes the visit pleasant.
Over the last 3 years my dads health has declined which is to be expected due to the dementia. If I've ever had any concerns, the care staff find solutions in order to support him. I never feel anything is to much trouble to ask.
Thankyou again for all the hard work you all do.

My husband was so well cared for at Osborne Court. All relatives want the reassurance that their loved ones are happy and secure in a care home. Relatives want to know staff are kind, caring, compassionate and are aware of and respond to the needs of their loved ones. The staff at Osborne Court were
wonderful and delivered all of the above and more. I would recommend Osborne Court to relatives who are looking for a caring and efficient care home. Thank you all.

I love to visit my nan at the home, they are very kind and look after her very well.
My nan is happy at the home. They help my nan to enjoy life as much as possible.
Her needs have changed since she went in but that's been very smooth and they have helped her to adapt very well.

Mum has been living at Osborne Court for just over 1 year. She came in from home.
We are very happy with Mum's care here and Mum is very well looked after physically and mentally.
The staff are very friendly and professional and make Mum and her family feel safe.
It's like home from home for all
of us.

Dad has been very happy at Osborne Court and very well looked after by both the nursing and caring team.
His room is comfortable if a little dated and he enjoys the food.
There have been improvements in the communal areas but the most important thing is dad seems happy and content.
As a family with
a number of mobility issues visiting can be difficult but if there are any concerns the nursing staff will call and update us.
I'd love to have access to tea and coffee making so I could share a cuppa with Dad without bothering the hard-working, busy staff.

My mother's care in the last weeks of her life was exemplary. The management ensured that staff were prepared, trained and qualified to nurse and care for her with respect, compassion and the necessary skills.
At the end of my mother's life, they supported me to be with her until the very end with
a team of wonderful nurses and carers around me. I will be forever grateful to them all.

My mum was in Osborne Court Care Home from 22nd December 2022 until she passed away 2nd February 2023 where she received fantastic care from every member of staff in the care home. She was treated with respect from all, especially comments from chef. Also, the management, every member of staff also
looked after Mum's family.

My uncle was admitted to Osborne Court Care Home from an extended stay in hospital. He immediately felt at home here and was treated with kindness and dignity. His stay was short due to his untimely passing but I, and all of our family, would like to thank the staff here for the dedicated service and
treatment that wax extended to Uncle during his stay.

Osbourne Court carers looked after my mum until her sad passing in August 2022. I found all staff there very kind and caring over the 10 months she was there. They also displayed endless patience and kept my mum at just the right temperature - even in the heatwave. Osborne Court was always responsive
to my requests and concerns, often offering me a cuppa. There is also a really nice garden. We would often take the wheelchair out, look at the plants and sit under the lovely trees. I would wholeheartedly recommend Osbourne Court and it's wonderful staff.

After many months of only being able to talk to my friend via FaceTime, I was delighted to be able to visit and see my friend face to face. She is looking very well and tells me how much she loves living in the home, the activities are well suited, the food is delicious, and the home is very caring.
The manager is very approachable and has definitely made a difference to the home since I last visited, the displays on the reception wall of the summer beach scenes are so lovely.
I have to say how calm and pleasant my visit to the home was, and everyone was so welcoming and professional, and I felt very at ease that they are making sure the home is safe from Covid as the testing was a top priority on arrival. Well done!

I have noticed a great improvement in him. Since being in the home, he's gone from being emotional and confused to being settled and finding his sense of humour again. The way he interacts with all the staff is great. I just wish we could be a bit closer, so we could help with his care more.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.157)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.157) out of 10 for Osborne Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.854 for Osborne Court is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.854
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.303 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Osborne Court is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 58 registered maximum number of service users is 11.6. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.6 = 0.603
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
