In the short time we have been coming here, I have always been made very welcome. A very friendly atmosphere. The carers are excellent. My mother has settled in very quickly and enjoys it. Thanks to all the staff.

Due to the sudden and unforeseen closure of her previous care home, Mum was only resident in Osborne Court for a few weeks before her passing. Mum was welcomed with open arms and the transition was done seamlessly by the Manager and the Team. Due to Covid restrictions, Mum needed to be isolated and
care was taken to accommodate her in a downstairs bedroom so that family were able to maintain contact with Mum via the window. Mums' physical and mental health needs were professionally assessed and every care was taken by staff to make sure these were met. The staff at Osborne Court were kind, caring and empathetic to both Mum and our family and constant contact was maintained with issues surrounding Mums' health and wellbeing also the aftercare afforded to our family after Mum's death was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Osborne Court as a lovely caring home.

My mother moved into Osborne Court in November 2020, due to the care home that she was previously in, closing. It was a worrying time due to the pandemic, not being able to help her with the move. I was able to visit a couple of times in person before the lastest lockdown. Mum always sounds happy when
I telephone her and recently we were able to facetime, which was lovely. She was laughing and joking with her carer and looked happy and relaxed. She looks like she is settling in well. I haven't seen inside yet so unable to give an accurate valuation, only going by what Mum has said.

I am extremely happy with care delivered by Osborne Court, all the staff have been very approachable and have made my relative feel at home and part of a family, she had settled really well. I have been kept well informed especially in these difficult circumstances, I would thoroughly recommend the
care and service they have provided.
The staff have made a great effort to update the decor recently and it really improves the whole ethos when you enter the building. Well done.

I feel Mum is extremely well looked after, the staff are always very helpful, kind and considerate. I am quickly informed of any health problems, and the staff are very efficient at making sure the correct medical team are called to deal. I always feel Mum is in completely safe hands and my mind is
at rest that she is being totally looked after in the best possible way.

The staff at Osborne Court can only be described as amazing. Their care and professionalism exceed their job descriptions, always helpful understanding of individuals requirements and they always have patience in abundance. I feel very reassured that my mum is in good care, I am made aware of anything
that they feel I should know and have kept the recent problems we have all gone through at arm's length, they cannot be rewarded enough.
Kind Regards.

Mum has settled in very well in Osbourne Court Care Home. The care she receives is second to none. The carers go "The extra mile" not just doing the practical things but also showing affection and making her laugh. I know she has the best possible care!

Staff are very attentive to my brother. They take care of him in spite of his being fairly stubborn over certain activities eg personal care. The home is very well kept with cleanliness and attention is very good. One challenge is to retain managers. In 2.5 years there have been 4! Overall well done
to staff.

My dad lives at Osborne Court, he is very happy there. He enjoys the staff talking with him is very happy with the care he gets. Staff support him with his needs night and day. His room is cleaned each day. He does not like some of the food, it could be better some days. He enjoys going out in the garden
in the summer.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.157)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.157) out of 10 for Osborne Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.854 for Osborne Court is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 82 Ratings = 4.854
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.303 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Osborne Court is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 58 registered maximum number of service users is 11.6. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.6 = 0.603
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
