Since our loved one joined Granville Lodge in September 2025 the whole team have done so much to make life as comfortable for them as possible. Everyone there really does care about their residents, and communication is handled perfectly. Family members always receive the warmest of welcomes! Thank

My husband Pat came here in Sept 2025. He has Parkinsons with Lewy Dementia. The staff here are fabulous. It's like being in a big friendly professional balloon. The carers are truly amazing. They pop in see patients just to say hi and check their ok. Night it's every half hour. Food cooked on premises
is good. Place is exceptionally clean. its run like clockwork. Loads of activities here and trips out. So pleased I found it.

The staff at Osbourne Court, are all very professional but also with a good degree of humour and understanding of each residents needs. Mum has been in Osbourne Court about 5 years so she seems happy, but with dementia she can be grumpy at times. She is very well looked after, all her needs and worries
are met.
Reply from Sophie Guy, Home manager at Osborne CourtThank you very much for taking the time to share your kind feedback about Osborne Court.

We are delighted to hear that your mum has been happy with us over the past five years and that you feel she is receiving the care, support, and understanding she needs. It is especially rewarding to know that our team's professionalism, sense of humour, and person-centred approach have made a positive difference to both your mum and your family.

We understand that living with dementia can bring challenges, and we are committed to ensuring that every resident is treated with patience, dignity, and compassion. Your comments will be shared with the team, who will be very pleased to know their hard work and dedication are appreciated.

Thank you again for your lovely words and for placing your trust in us to care for your mum.

Mum has only been in Granville for about a month, but in that time , she has settled really well. Her room is spacious and right next to the lounge, which mum spends most of her day, the previous home she was in for 3 months, she never really left her room, only to the dining room.
She joins in all
of the activities and seems happy enough ,which is reassuring for us .

My mum sadly passed away recently and I just wanted to show my appreciation to all the kind and caring staff at Westin Care Home for how they looked after mum during her last years.living at the Home. My brother and I were very pleased with the care mum received from the day she went into the Home
until the day of her passing and even after then, the staff remained in contact sending their condolences and a couple of carers even attended mum's funeral which was really nice of them which again showed how much they cared about my mum. I would and have already recommended Westin Care Home to friends and family as we were really pleased with the care mum received there ,- A big Thank you to all staff and carers as you really did make a big difference to mum's last few years and gave myself and my brother peace of mind knowing she was in a safe place where she was receiving the best care.
Reply from Sin Watts, Care Manager at Westin Care HomeThank you for your kind words Sharon. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our Westin family. Your mum will always be remembered fondly and she will be greatly missed by us all.

I'm very pleased with The Old Vicarage. Their care of my mother has been exemplary. Daria has kept us well informed when my mother was unwell. Mum has been out on trips with staff and thoroughly enjoyed herself which is something that we as family could not do with her when she was resident at home.
Reply from Daria Koeller, manager at The Old VicarageDear Gail,
Thank you very much for your review. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to look after your mum. We are committed to supporting her well-being and ensuring she enjoys a fulfilling life with us, and we always strive to provide a variety of opportunities for residents to go out and engage in meaningful activities. Thank you for always being so engaged in your mum's care. This joint effort between the family and our care team truly makes a difference and helps us achieve the best possible outcomes for your mum.
Kind regards,
Daria

My mum moved to Granville Lodge at the beginning of March 2026. We were extremely impressed by the empathy and care shown to our family and how approachable and personable the Manager and staff were. Every time we visit we are greeted by smiling, friendly staff who have clearly got to know mum and made
her feel welcome.
Issues regarding falls have been identified and proactively addressed in a very timely manner and the staff have showed great professionalism.
It is a great reassurance to our family to know that mum is being well cared for and is safe. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and are a credit to the company.

The Old Vicarage

from John F (Son of Resident) published on 18 May 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has severe dementia and has resided at the Old Vicarage for approx 5 years. Staff are knowledgeable, caring, respectful, proactive and keen to respond and act on any ideas, concerns or suggestions to improve care and enhance the environment. Staff discuss, collaborate and agree care needs
with relatives, seeking medical advice when necessary.
Management at the home is keen to encourage and involve carers/ friends and relatives to visit and participate in the activities provided in the home. A support group for friends and relatives meets most months when people can share their thoughts and experience. Friends and relatives are free to visit the home at any time without notice.
Facilities are basic but adequate. Activities are provided to stimulate residents in keeping with their interests and ability. Recent activities have included exercise sessions/Easter egg hunt/trips to garden centre/Christmas party/pantomime and daily creative activities such as painting.
Reply from Daria Koeller, manager at The Old VicarageDear John,
Thank you for your review. Thank you for taking an active part in our friends and family group. Currently we are undertaking a refurbishment in line with a newly built extension.
Kind regards,
Daria

The staff looking after my Dad have been extremely helpful, especially when I've been communicating with him via phone.
Kingsley was so thoughtful and kind explaining some of the non verbal reactions that happen.
Ezji has gone out of her way to ensure we can speak.
I know that their diligent care
and kindness means so much to my Dad (and me).
Thank you.

My Mum has been at Granville Lodge for 5 years and really enjoys her time here. We both find the staff to be helpful, kind and very professional.
I have had a lot of contact with both reception, Managers and nursing staff and find them all very commutative and approachable. They care greatly for the
residents and each other and there is a great sense of togetherness within the home.
The home has a lovely garden and good facilities for the residents, meal times are sociable and there is always something they can be interacting in.
I can't stress how good their communication is and they are always there to help. I feel Granville Lodge is a nice environment for my Mum and would recommend.

I make a weekly visit to a resident of Granville Lodge and always find the staff to be friendly and helpful. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the home with rooms well decorated and pleasing pictures and artwork in corridors and communal areas.
The staff makes every effort to meet the needs and wishes
of the resident. A wide variety of activities and entertainment is available but no undue pressure is put on the resident to take part.
The resident enjoys a local trip out in a wheelchair when I visit. This would not be possible without the uncomplaining help of care staff in getting her ready to go out.

My mum moved into Westin the end of January she had dementia and could no longer live on her own
We couldn't of asked for a better place for her to be .each and everyone of the staff were so caring and kind
Always had smiles on their faces when we went in and tended to all mums needs with kindness
and respect
As for the home itself its lovely and bright spotlessly clean my mums room was really lovely with en-suite bathroom.they had lots going on to keep residents occupied unfortunately mum became too poorly to do all the activities that were on offer
If your having to put a loved one into a care home I can't recommend westin enough id go as far as saying if I myself had to go into one I would choose westin we can't thank them enough for looking after mum so well

We feel privileged to have been able to care for your mum and to support you and your family during such an important time. Our mother has had dementia for a number of years and was deemed unfit to live at home, by the health authority, following successive falls down the stairs, and being bed-ridden in hospital for nearly five months, where she barely had the strength to lift her head off the pillow. Westin Care Home in
Whitchurch was selected for her, three years ago in May, where her physical health has gone from strength to strength, although her dementia continues to get worse, unfortunately. The staff are kind and attentive, the premises are clean, warm and friendly, and we are kept well informed of any matters affecting our mum. She seems genuinely content and comfortable there and we are confident she is being well cared for.
Reply from Simone Watts, Deputy Manager at Westin Care HomeThank you for your kind and thoughtful feedback.
