Beach Lawns is a beautiful home in a stunning location, overlooking the beachfront of Weston-Super-Mare.

It’s the team, who are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, which make this home stand out. The highly experienced staff provide residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care, they also provide respite care breaks, which can be booked in advance.

The home is thriving, with so many activities to enjoy, from bespoke, one-to-one sessions, to fabulous group activities. One of the residents runs his own quiz, there’s karaoke, dancing, crafts, cake decorating and games galore.

The team are passionate about exploring the life histories of their residents and finding out what brings them joy, so they can enrich their lives. One resident recently marked his 106th birthday with an interview with the BBC on his miraculous survival when his plane crashed into the sea.   

The environment at Beach Lawns is stunning, with beautiful bedrooms with ensuite walk-in wet rooms, spacious lounge areas, many of which have period features, and a hair salon, for regular appointments with a mobile hairdresser.

The gardens are a wonderful place to relax, with a sun terrace and direct private access to the neighbouring Clarence Park. This summer the residents have even been growing their own produce.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, with regular Holy Communion and visitors – and the residents love their regular trips to the Salvation Army.

The team, many of whom have been with the home for over ten years, champion the residents and their loved ones to have a very active role to play in how their home is run. Resident ambassadors love to welcome new residents and their families, as well as providing feedback on everything from the activities to the menus.

In the dining rooms they enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals, with home baking every day for afternoon tea.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1139 and for nursing care £1496, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

We needed to place 97-year-old mother in care urgently when being discharged at short notice from hospital after surgery for a fall at her home.
Mother had always been very resistant to giving up her own home.
The hospital failed badly on discharge, but Beach Lawns picked up the ball and performed
superbly with a very wary and frightened new arrival and within 24 hours she has not looked back and calls it her home.

The staff and management are all efficient and caring, which is very important when considering that it is going to be your mums home from now on. The room is good, rather small but as my mum is bedridden there is no extra room needed.


A special chair to make my mums life a bit more comfortable was

arranged and I am extremely satisfied with it and mum seemed rested in it. The carers are very kind and mum talks of them fondly.
I would like to see my mum dressed in her nightie for the night and fully dressed in the day.

A very well located home on the sea front, on level ground, with a small rear garden and a gate leading into a lovely park.


The home is well run with a 'hands on' manager who leads an excellent staff.


A recent change of chef has led to a fall in quality of food, this problem is being addressed.

A change in activities leader is a similar problem, which I'm sure will improve.

Very sadly, my beloved father passed away at Beach Lawns in January 2017, but I know I can speak for my whole (large) family. The time he spent at the nursing home, the staff and management were fantastic, caring, supportive and treated us with all the utmost dignity day and night. Supplied us with
tea and food throughout and nothing was too much trouble and cannot thank them enough.

My mother became a resident of memory lane in June 2016. Memory Lane is a small dementia unit within Beach Lawns. As you enter memory lane there is a sign "home is where the heart is". This is very true of this unit, the staff are caring and kind to all residents, plus residents families are welcomed
into this family and given support from day one. Christmas 2016 was a fine example, prior to Xmas day residents various enjoyable days, carol singing, visit to pantomime, Xmas fair. On Xmas day families were welcome to stay for lunch, residents had their own stockings from the unit just because it's a dementia unit, Xmas was lovely and all residents enjoy raising a glass. If you are looking for a home that brings care and laughter Beach Lawns is that home.

We didn't want dad to go into a home, although we realised this was the only option and looked at several before deciding on Beach Lawns. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and they did everything to make dad comfortable. The staff were fantastic, caring for both dad and his family.
Dad sadly passed away at the home and the staff couldn't have done more for us all. Dad's last days were comfortable and calm.

Having to find a nursing home two days before Christmas Day for my elderly father was very difficult for us and after looking at four other homes in Weston we chose Beach Lawns.
This decision proved to be an excellent choice, the professionalism, care, patience and friendly attitude of all the staff
at Beach Lawns quickly settled my father into his room.
Unfortunately, my father's stay at Beach Lawns was relatively short but the care and dignity showed to him and our family was second to none.
I cannot thank the home enough for assisting us through what was a very difficult time for us all.
I have had to put a "good" rating for Activities, as although there were plenty arranged, my father could not join in (although the member of staff with the "ukelele" certainly got us laughing!)

From my personal experience, there is good clean work, the staff providing love and care to the residents. No criticism of the staff are the residence rightly take first priority, but at times it can be difficult to find someone if I need to discuss mum. They are very good when I phone mum, they assist
her and take the phone to her.
Home will set out, various areas residents can go. Very welcoming on visits and variety of activities.
Very grateful to all the staff who are involved in mums care.

Very nice home, great welcome from reception. Good security on the main door, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Décor is very nice with plenty of day rooms and dining rooms.
Bedrooms have an en-suite, there is a maintenance man on site all the time.
There are fruit and biscuits in reception
for visitors.

My father stayed at Beach Lawns for about 4 years. They made him feel at home. It feels like a home. It was his home. It is clean and bright and situated on the seafront. Not only is it a home, the staff really do care for the residents. My father's care throughout his stay was superb. The staff were
simply amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of Beach Lawns and its staff. I am so grateful to them for the care they provide for my father. Beach lawns is superb.
