This is a wonderful, caring, helpful and welcoming home. My son and I felt comfortable from the moment that we walked in to view the home to see if it was suitable for my wife. A lovely lady took us to the dining room where we had a long talk about the home and the facilities it offered. We were then given a tour and shown the room that was available. We had looked at another home earlier but it didn't feel right, here we both felt welcome and that my wife would be well cared for. She moved in the next day. Unfortunately, she was only there for five days. During that time the staff were wonderfully caring and professional, always having time to talk to us. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. When my wife died they were all very supportive and made a very difficult time more bearable. Had she lived longer, we both would have been very happy for her to stay at this amazing home from home. It is a magnificent building filled with magnificent staff. We thoroughly recommend it.

When your husband and self are separated, it is traumatic and heartbreaking, however, the staff and management at Beach Lawns made this transition as painless as it is possible. They continue to support, not only my husband but myself as well and continue to care for both of us. It was a good day when we discovered Beach Lawns.

All the staff in the home - management, admin, carers and nurses are very friendly, helpful and take really good care of my dad. My mum was also a resident in the home but sadly died earlier this month. Since then, the carers have shown great compassion to my father and helped him through a very distressing time. The manager is very flexible, understanding and is always willing to help out with special requests where possible.

Since the beginning of my residence, I can find no fault in any department of Beach Lawns. The cleaners are conscientious in their work. The care staff are, at all times on hand to help, give advice and are stoic if a resident has a family bereavement. The management can not (in my humble opinion) be faulted in the way that they quietly, yet diligently look after every aspect of the running of the home, making sure that all is well at the changing of shifts, and any queries are fully answered before the next group take over.

We needed to place 97-year-old mother in care urgently when being discharged at short notice from hospital after surgery for a fall at her home.
Mother had always been very resistant to giving up her own home.

The hospital failed badly on discharge, but Beach Lawns picked up the ball and performed superbly with a very wary and frightened new arrival and within 24 hours she has not looked back and calls it her home.

The staff and management are all efficient and caring, which is very important when considering that it is going to be your mums home from now on. The room is good, rather small but as my mum is bedridden there is no extra room needed.

A special chair to make my mums life a bit more comfortable was arranged and I am extremely satisfied with it and mum seemed rested in it. The carers are very kind and mum talks of them fondly.

I would like to see my mum dressed in her nightie for the night and fully dressed in the day.

A very well located home on the sea front, on level ground, with a small rear garden and a gate leading into a lovely park.

The home is well run with a 'hands on' manager who leads an excellent staff.

A recent change of chef has led to a fall in quality of food, this problem is being addressed. A change in activities leader is a similar problem, which I'm sure will improve.

Very sadly, my beloved father passed away at Beach Lawns in January 2017, but I know I can speak for my whole (large) family. The time he spent at the nursing home, the staff and management were fantastic, caring, supportive and treated us with all the utmost dignity day and night. Supplied us with tea and food throughout and nothing was too much trouble and cannot thank them enough.

My mother became a resident of memory lane in June 2016. Memory Lane is a small dementia unit within Beach Lawns. As you enter memory lane there is a sign "home is where the heart is". This is very true of this unit, the staff are caring and kind to all residents, plus residents families are welcomed into this family and given support from day one. Christmas 2016 was a fine example, prior to Xmas day residents various enjoyable days, carol singing, visit to pantomime, Xmas fair. On Xmas day families were welcome to stay for lunch, residents had their own stockings from the unit just because it's a dementia unit, Xmas was lovely and all residents enjoy raising a glass. If you are looking for a home that brings care and laughter Beach Lawns is that home.

We didn't want dad to go into a home, although we realised this was the only option and looked at several before deciding on Beach Lawns. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and they did everything to make dad comfortable. The staff were fantastic, caring for both dad and his family. Dad sadly passed away at the home and the staff couldn't have done more for us all. Dad's last days were comfortable and calm.

Having to find a nursing home two days before Christmas Day for my elderly father was very difficult for us and after looking at four other homes in Weston we chose Beach Lawns.
This decision proved to be an excellent choice, the professionalism, care, patience and friendly attitude of all the staff at Beach Lawns quickly settled my father into his room.
Unfortunately, my father's stay at Beach Lawns was relatively short but the care and dignity showed to him and our family was second to none.
I cannot thank the home enough for assisting us through what was a very difficult time for us all.
I have had to put a "good" rating for Activities, as although there were plenty arranged, my father could not join in (although the member of staff with the "ukelele" certainly got us laughing!)

Thank you again, Beach Lawns.
