We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful home. A room with a lovely view. Nursing staff very kind. The residents are very friendly, a good atmosphere. Visitors always welcome. Wish it was not so expensive.

I have been at Norewood Lodge Care Home for over two years now and I can honestly say I am happy. I have all the care I need, the staff are friendly and I can laugh with them. There is always something happening in the afternoons which I love to join in with if my body lets me. I also enjoy the meals, although I can be a fussy eater the kitchen staff do not mind.
Thank you for sharing your lovely review with us, we really appreciate it. I am so pleased that you are happy with the care you're receiving and Norewood Lodge in general. The Bupa Customer Care Team.

My aunt has been in the care for the last 15 months. She has been looked after very well and the staff look after her very well. On a personal note I have found all the staff very helpful to me, nothing seems too much trouble.

I had concerns when I was obliged to put my mother into care 3 years ago after an accident, which meant she could no longer look after herself. The fact that she is now aged 102, happy and healthy is a tribute to the care she has since received at Norewood Lodge.

My Mother has been at Norewood Lodge for nearly 5 years. She is content, happy and has received excellent care from the beginning. Whist the standards are high it is the care she receives from the staff which makes Norewood special.

Check that your medicines all have their use by dates still on them, else they can't be given. Don't accept an 'arrive anytime' invitation unless you don't mind them being too busy to settle you in. If you want a clock or a softer light than the bright ceiling lights, take them with you.
They say they have taken these points on board, so hopefully, no one will have to suffer like my mother again.
Thank you for your review. Your comments are extremely important to us and our residents’ health and wellbeing is our absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service
During the 9 months my husband was a resident at Norwood Lodge, with vascular dementia and unable to walk, my family and I could not fault the care he was given. From the cleaners, maintenance staff, carers, nurses, admin staff to the manager; all of whom were there for his entire stay. Both he and I were treated with great respect and care, I visited him every day. When he was very close to death, I was phoned that evening by the nurse, and stayed with him until he died. Both of us were shown such kindness.
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments of our home and will share your comments with the home’s manager. Please accept our condolences. The Bupa Customer Care Team.
This is the second time my husband has had respite care at Norewood Lodge. His care was excellent. He has so many needs following a major stroke and totally dependent on carers. Staff were exceptional, very professional. noting any concerns and informing me.

Meet the Team (1)

I am currently a regional support manager and the registered home manager of Norewood Lodge Care Home. I have worked for Bupa since 2015 in a number of roles and joined Norewood Lodge in December 2023.
I first qualified as a registered nurse in 2012 and I worked in a number of NHS hospitals before I joined Bupa. I worked in neurosurgery and neuro rehab and cared for adults with cognitive impairment and brain injury.
I really found this rewarding and when I was presented with an opportunity to be the clinical lead of a large Bupa care home where I could apply my interest in caring for people with cognitive impairment to those who live in care homes, I jumped at the chance. I soon realised that I thrived in leading a team to deliver positive outcomes for our residents and haven’t looked back since.
What I enjoy the most is leading a team to deliver great outcomes for our residents. It’s the little things that make a resident’s day that I find the most rewarding. I also really enjoy being part of the Bupa team. We are all so well connected which means there is always support on hand and creates a feeling of security and honesty.
Outside of work, I live locally in Portishead and I have 2 daughters. I also like to try and keep fit and healthy.
