Our mum was looked after very, very well, right till the end. All the staff and management were very helpful, always very friendly. I would recommend family and friends to this nursing home.
Very happy with my mother's care here, they made her last days very comfortable. Very caring and lots of patience and compassion.
A lovely home, every member of staff treated and cared for Mum. They showed her care, compassion, respect and the dignity she deserved. They always made her visitors welcome and at home. Excellent!
She was treated as an individual, and her own special needs catered for.
Mum always looked well cared for and comfortable.
The staff were always approachable and welcoming.
Thank you, everyone.
The love, care and compassion that was shown to both my mother and step-father during their permanent and respite care was faultless, and that was witnessed to all the residents. Having had to face the dreaded prospect of having loved ones needing to go into care, Gardenia was only a positive experience. Care was given with dignity and good humour and I could rest knowing they were always well cared for. It was a home of family and friends. Food is excellent. Staff are permanent and long term and as it is a small home, know all residents. well. There is lots of entertainment and seasonal events. Visitors and relatives are always made so welcome. But the main thing is the comfort of knowing you've left your loved one in safe and caring hands. This was the best home, of many, I visited.
Our mum was very happy with her care and the safety at Gardenia Court. We, as her family, were really impressed with the care and concern and professional way Mum was looked after. The staff were all excellent in the way they spoke to the residents and did everything possible to make them feel at home. They also treated Mum as one of the family.
Gardenia Court have been looking after my father for two months following a stroke. They are the most attentive and caring people that you could ever wish for. His every need is catered for and always with a smile. They are both professional and completely approachable. We are very lucky to have found them.
Gardenia Court provided excellent rehab care after my stroke. The staff go over and above to provide respectful care. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Clean room recently decorated the washing of clothes was fantastic. Variety of people to entertain a couple of days a week every week.
We were not there long enough to avail ourselves of the activities available but were made available of them.
He was welcomed and given a beautiful room overlooking the golf course where he could sit and see the world go by.
Unfortunately, he passed away after only being at Gardenia Court for 36 hours, but in that very short time he was loved, respected and given the kindest of care with dignity.
The staff were also extremely helpful and supportive towards us.
From the moment you walk in you are acknowledged and made to feel welcome by all members of staff. My dad lived here for just over a year before he passed away. He was encouraged to engage with all of the other residents and staff and went from being very reclusive to someone who enjoyed the company of everyone around him. We loved the banter with the staff and they became his and our extended family. It's a shame we couldn't have stayed longer. However, he loved every minute he was there. I recommend Gardenia Court 110%.
The care shown by all the staff throughout her 'End of Life' stay was individual to her needs & she and the other residents were treated with dignity & respect. Mum's room was exceptional & the Home itself was very clean. They were able to provide equipment Mum needed i.e. reclining chair, wheelchair etc. if there was any downside it was the en-suite facilities lacked a shower.
Living 200 miles away I was encouraged to phone & speak to Mum regularly. When I visited I would take Mum out, trips often lasted the day and staff were very accommodating. The compassion shown by all the staff throughout her stay, along with the fact that Mum's health stabilised gave me peace of mind that she was getting all the care she required in a safe & welcoming environment.
Friends & Family were made very welcome & parking was a bonus.
Thank you Management & Staff.
Amazing care with love, empathy and sense of humour perfect for my relative absolutely excellent.
Dad's time in Gardenia Court was pleasant and he was well cared for. When Dad became poorly the staff were excellent towards him and us. They supported us throughout his stay. His room was always clean and the whole building never smelt "like an old peoples home".
Mum stayed at Gardenia Court for three weeks of respite care. My father and I were impressed at the welcome shown to us by the staff as we made our initial visit and the emphasis placed on individual care. The care mother received during her stay was of the highest standard.
A family emergency required Mum to return to Gardenia where again she was treated as a family member and cared for in a respectful and kindly manner. I am convinced my father's recovery was aided by knowing mother was being cared for at Gardenia.
Care homes are unfortunately in the media for the wrong reasons. We all wish we could care for our loved ones ourselves but sometimes this just is not possible.
The manager and your staff are an inspiration and role models for our profession.
My husband spent 12 months at this home and during trial period I found all staff to be kind loving and caring. All the residents were treated with respect and looked after as though they were part of a large family. The home was always clean and the food was balanced and well presented. Family members of the resident were always made welcome and could visit at any time. Every effort was made to make residents comfortable and welcome at such a difficult time.
During my wife's stay at Gardenia Court during the last 2 months of her life, she was treated with dignity and respect. The staff could not be faulted and were always cheerful no matter what the task. The quality and quantity of the meals were of the highest standard. Finally, the home was spotlessly clean with very comfortable rooms. You could not wish for better care and service.
The management and staff consistently demonstrate warmth, respect and empathy in their interactions with people (residents) and their relatives.
Keep up the good work. May the blessings be.
Having over 40 years in the nursing/caring profession in many fields, my standards are very high. However, I cannot find any fault in the care or any of the staff, relating to residents, relatives, at this excellent care home. During the 15 months my son was a resident following a stroke.
