My uncle has settled in well and is happy with his care when specific care was required. My uncle was transported to a funeral and hospital appointments as and when required. When I want a chat on phone a cordless phone is taken to his room so we can have a chat. Visitors are made welcome.
Thank you Ben for your kind words relating to your uncle. I will share them with the team and please give our regards to all the family.
My dad came in for respite care and was there a number of weeks. The staff were extremely friendly and always helpful. My dad was always happy and content, every time we arrived there were always smiles and we felt at ease leaving him there. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for leaving your review. Your dad was great fun to chat with and it was good for some of our carers to be able to talk about the music that he and they enjoy so much. I'm pleased he's back and settled in his own home. Please give him our regards.
I have been very happy with the level of care provided. Staff have listened to my concerns and promptly put agreed plans of action in place.
Communication is very good. Staff are always welcoming and make time to discuss my mother's progress.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we are very pleased that you are happy with your mother's care. We've been taking a close look at the rating system to try and bring our services up to a full five star standard. The manager, would be very interested in meeting with you to...
My mother-in-law arrived at Eshcol House late February 2023. I was concerned that the move from the hospital to the home would upset her, but I was wrong, it's the best she's been in a long time, being well cared for, fed generous excellent meals, and able to sleep at night. We visit at various times and the Eshcol is always clean and warm, and the staff are so friendly and a joy to be there and I'm sure that's how Mum feels too, as she's doing so well there. I even found out my hairdresser goes there too.
Carol, thank you so much for this lovely feedback. I remember going to visit your mother-in-law in hospital to do the assessment and she wanted to know if people would be kind to her. Imagine the worry of thinking people might not be kind to you in a nursing home! Here's to her continuing health,...
He has settled well and seems content and is clearly well cared for.
Thanks to all the staff for your help and support. Making the decision to move to a care home was not necessarily easy but you have all been so incredibly helpful and supportive.
Would 100% recommend Eshcol House to anyone looking for excellent, friendly care in a beautiful, quiet setting.
Emma, thank you so much for your lovely review. You and your mum have been such frequent visitors and I know how much your dad appreciates seeing you so often. As for the staff, well, we enjoy the banter when you come in.
My daughter has been in the care home since the end of January. She’s settled very well and gets on well with all the staff; they are very polite, helpful and very friendly. The home is very clean and tidy, and the food is lovely; she’s not had a bad meal since she’s been there. We cannot fault the home at all. Any questions we’ve had, they have answered for us. I would definitely recommend this home.
Christine, thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to leave us this very kind review. I’m glad you both feel that your daughter’s needs are being met.
Thank you all at Eshcol.
You were such a dedicated and regular visitor to us that we feel we really got to know you well. I'm pleased that you feel your husband received good care and I think his stay here was enhanced by you and all the family coming in so often. Any time you are nearby please pop in and have a cuppa.
My brother-in-law was a resident at Eschol Nursing Home and received excellent care. Would recommend.
I'm so pleased that you felt that your brother-in-law received such good care. You as a family came in so often and I know it made a real difference to him feeling easier at being with us. All the very best to you and the rest of the family.
My grandad had great care during his time at Eschol. It was like a home away from home for his final few weeks. He was a bit nervous about going at the start but the staff really helped to settle him quickly. We had no worries about leaving him after our visits.
I am so pleased that you feel your grandfather was well looked after here. You and the family were such regular visitors and were so bright and cheery that I know your visits must have improved the quality of his remaining life. Thank you for your kind words and I will share your review with the team.
The staff are the shining stars of Eshcol - they are so kind and caring - not just to the residents but also to the family and friends who visit. They quickly learnt our names and were so friendly and welcoming - even my dog was welcomed and made a fuss of!
Your words are so lovely, Tania, and they got read out to everyone just now. It was a pleasure to meet you in that short and sad time of you coming in and out of our doors so often. Thanks again for the lovely cake, and all the very best to you.
My sister was given full and compassionate care during her last weeks at Eshcol. The home is run by a warm and friendly team. They always make visitors feel welcome, and their professionalism is a credit to them.
Thank you for such kind words. The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and families are extremely important to us. I will share your review with everyone.
Very warm and friendly on every visit I have made from South Wales.
Thank you so much for your kind words. All the very best to you and the family..
Excellent service for my dad, friendly staff good food etc, the only downside would like to see my dad out of bed more. Dad seems happy there and seems to get on with the staff ok even though he can be fussy and frustrated due to his stroke, whenever I've been there the staff are patient and friendly to him. He does enjoy a chat etc that's why it would be nice for him once in a while to maybe be taken downstairs to enjoy the view etc. The home also was very kind in offering a lift to my mum on Xmas which was greatly appreciated by myself and my sister even though she couldn't come.
Thank you so much for the kind words in your review which I will share with the team.
Wonderful nursing home, lovely staff, very beautiful view from the home and bedroom. Overall, very special nursing home. Everything done to perfection in my opinion.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's so hard when people we love and that we are close to become ill and we do our very best to care for our residents as if they were our own family.
My Aunt always said that if she ever had to go into a care home it had to be Eshcol. She arrived in early April 2022, after 7 weeks of hospitals and another care home, all under Covid regulations - with no visitors allowed. She had amazing sight for a 96-year-old and really appreciated her room with a view of the sea, of Carne and the Nare; places with which she had been familiar as a child. I took photographs of all the pots of flowers to show her. Her room was clean and, she said, disinfected regularly. She was eating a more varied diet than she had at home. Sadly. with her increased frailty and loss of mobility, she had had enough of life and began to withdraw into herself. She died peacefully at the beginning of October. Everyone I met at Eshcol was friendly, caring and kind. Aunty was right to want to go there.
Thank you for your lovely words, Linda. Your aunt really did prefer her own company and was very content just to stay in her room. I reckon if I had a view like that I'd also be content to sit and gaze out and see the passing boats. Your aunt was a truly elegant lady and I know how much you miss her.
My partner has needed care and support at Eschol for some years as her health has deteriorated and throughout that time the care she has received has been excellent. My experience of visiting has always been positive with all staff being friendly and professional.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Phil. We all look forward to seeing the dogs come in - you too. I know it's the highlight of your partner's week and I'm pleased that you feel we are meeting her needs so well. I will share your review with the team.
Eshcol House Nursing Home was our first choice when looking for somewhere right for our mother. The staff are friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming and always ready to answer any questions. Any problems were quickly resolved and our mother felt safe and secure knowing the staff were there whenever she needed them. All the staff from junior to senior whatever their role within the home treated mum with respect and dignity and indeed humour. And I thank them all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased that you felt your mother was so well looked after and we wish you and the family all the very best. Please give your mum our regards. She is such a creative and interesting woman; we talked knitting patterns and artists and I had to reluctantly drag myself back to work.
My brother was given a place at Eshcol House Nursing Home in September 2021 and was there until he sadly passed away in May 2022. He had very special needs and was given the best care and attention possible, all the care staff were so lovely to him, nothing was too much trouble, and his family will be forever grateful to you all. With kindest regards.
Thank you for your review. Your brother is remembered very fondly by all of us and I remember passing by his room, hearing a guitar being played; I knocked and went in and got treated to my own one-to-one concert. He was ever so good. But that was him - a good and kind and talented man.
My Dad was at Eschol House Nursing Home for several months as my aged mother couldn't cope at home on her own with his daily needs. The staff here were always very friendly to all our family visitors, while he was here he had his 90th birthday, the family were welcomed into the garden for a tea party in the afternoon, the staff came around playing the guitar and singing "Happy Birthday" along with a birthday cake, what a surprise that was. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff on duty however busy they were, and this was made worse at times by Covid, if we phoned they would take the phone to my Dad in his room, we did get him his own mobile phone at one point, Christmas came, Mum was invited to lunch with them all, my Dad had a nice comfortable room with a fantastic sea view, he was, and we were all very well looked after, nothing was ever to much trouble, at my Dad's passing they gave us time to say our goodbyes, they were all very attentive, bless you all.
It is so lovely to read your very kind words and we are all delighted that you felt your dad had such good care. All the very best to you and the family.
Eshcol House Nursing Home is located in one of the most beautiful coastal villages on the Roseland Peninsula and this is what appealed to my father and mother, in the first instance! Pre-admission arrangements were thorough and well-communicated and they were both admitted together to a beautiful, freshly-decorated room with breathtaking views overlooking Gerrans Bay! Unfortunately, their whole residential stay at Eshcol House (July 2020 to November 2021) was effected by Covid-19 restrictions but the whole staff team worked tirelessly to maintain as much normality within the daily routine as possible and I always felt that Mum and Dad received bespoke, personalised care that respected their dignity, met all their needs and made them and our family members feel very much part of the Eshcol family.
Thank you for such kind words, Angela. I remember on the days that my dog was at Eshcol she would make a beeline for your dad and his biscuit tin! It's such bad luck that your parents' stay was at the height of the epidemic as it did affect outings, visitors, and activities so very much. At least...
