I enjoy every minute of being here. I like the home and the people in it, especially the manager. She always has time to accept my wishes to see her and any problems I have personally, she helps me with. The staff are very good, they listen and conduct themselves well. I enjoy my meals, although I don't
have a big appetite, they prepare my food especially for me as I cannot chew and swallow properly. When I stayed here, I found the conditions good, and the attention good. The room was clean and fresh and the bed was made up very well.

I have been very impressed with the high standard of care my mother has received since moving into St Benet's in January 2019. They have always been aware of her individual needs.
I have been particularly impressed with the response when my mother has been unwell or needed medical treatment. We have
felt fully informed and impressed by the staff's vigilance.
Staff have also been very helpful in supporting me to support my mother in the best way regarding her issues with memory.

If I cannot live in my home, St Benet's Court is the next best place to be. The only problem is laundry day. Attention from managers and day carers are excellent but some carers overnight are 'less caring'.

My mother (89 years) has suffered from dementia since 2015 and was cared for by my father who has since died who too for a short while, was as St Benet's.
The staff have been so kind and caring towards them both. Mum settled very quickly, made friends with staff and residents alike. She loves the company
and all the daily activities and she feels safe and at home there. Staff are so caring, patient and respectful. Mum is always clean as is the home. Whenever I have needed to speak to management, the office door is always open, as it is for the residents too.
They always have the time for us. Mum is so much calmer since being there and I believe it is down to the loving, caring environment. I would be quite happy to recommend St Benet's to anyone.

Mum moved to St Benet's from Surrey to be near family soon after my step-dad died. It was a traumatic time especially with the memory loss of Alzheimer's.
What can I say that isn't anything other than positive about the staff at St Benet's. They are a second family to Mum, patient, kind and know how
to jolly her along her when she has a down day. Mum has always taken pride in her appearance and care staff spend time helping her coordinate scarves with jumpers so she always looks smart. Those caring touches make all the difference and don't go unnoticed.
Office staff make time to discuss mum's care even when busy and we never feel we have popped in at an inconvenient time.
Kitchen staff make every effort to cater for her even making bacon sandwiches early in the morning! Residents get along well and mum has a lovely friendship group. There is lots of laughing and joking.
We can't thank them enough for helping mum to find enjoyment in life again.

As a very frequent visitor to this care home over the past 5 years, I have finally decided to write a review. In the last 5 years the standard of care, support, given to the residents is of an impeccable standard, more so in the last 12 months with a new deputy manager that has progressed up through
the chain and has thrived to support staff and services users to the maximum. The home is of a high quality, everywhere nicely decorated and the facilities bathrooms. Kitchens. Lounge immaculately clean, from an overview of this care home dedication from all staff, give the home a calm and relaxed atmosphere, time is properly given to each of the resident's needs, with dignity and respect. The lovely manager of this home has so much compassion for the staff and residents she makes this home complete. A massive well done for such a hard dedicated 24hour care provider would recommend massively to anyone that needs that extra special touch for their loved ones.

Whenever you walked into the home you were always welcomed by everybody. If family or friends visited from a long way off a tray of tea and coffee was always brought up to my mother's room. If I was ever concerned about my mother's health and I spoke to the staff they always knew when she was not well.
Her care when she was ill was excellent and the care she received the last two days of her life was impeccable. She was given complete dignity and full care for the unconscious patient. The room always looked clean and she was allowed what she wanted for breakfast and whenever she wanted it.
The staff were always polite and very patient with my mother as she was very deaf.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.925)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.925) out of 10 for St Benet's Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.925 for St Benet's Court is calculated as follows: ( (411 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 442 Ratings = 4.925
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Benet's Court is based on 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4, which has been reached with 38 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
