Overall Experience
My wife has now been at Wolborough Court for four weeks and both she and us, the family, have found it to be an excellent choice. The staff have shown an amazing level of kindness, patience, professionalism and good humour, a good team. Excellent food comes from a varied menu with good portions and is eaten in a pleasant dining room. Teas, coffees and cake seem to be readily available at all times, even for visiting family!

All rooms throughout are kept nicely decorated and my wife's in particular is a good size with en suite and views out to surrounding Hills. This is our Family's first experience of a care home and we feel it gives my wife a light, airy, pleasant and safe environment in which she is well cared for.

Lovely Home with friendly and approachable staff. The Manager and staff at Wolborough Court have been excellent. The support and communication leading up to my mum's respite period has been really reassuring, and they have accommodated all our needs, sometimes at short notice. Thank you.

The manager and staff are so welcoming and friendly. They attend to mums needs and enjoy their jobs which is reflected in the service. Mum enjoys her day, especially the delicious roast dinner and homemade cakes. She always comes home happy as she gets a lot out of her day. The manager is always on hand should I have any concerns or questions about Alzheimer's. This service has been a lifeline for myself and mum.

The care home has looked after my mother exceptionally well since October 2023. The staff are friendly, respectful and go out of their way to engage with my mum and our family. There is a varied and healthy meal provision, which mum enjoys. The team is well led by the home manager, who is always visible, approachable and so engaged with everyone . The home is always clean and tidy. Mum enjoys the various activities that are provided each week, supervised by a fantastic "enabler", where mum is encouraged to participate.

Wolborough Court is a smaller purpose-built residence set on Wolborough Hillside, commanding lovely views across the surrounding countryside. This well-managed home is always clean, light and airy and maintained to a high standard throughout. Mum and all the other residents are always treated with the utmost dignity, respect and given time. All Mum's medical, mental and physical needs are dealt with to a high standard and I'm kept informed of anything necessary. Hot freshly cooked food is served daily to a very high standard with any special dietary needs catered for and a varied menu including homemade cakes. There are daily activities and professional entertainments visiting on a regular basis. Days out are also organised if required. All the staff are smart, professional, competent and friendly. Most importantly though they really do care for their residents, so for family or friends this is most reassuring indeed. This "care home" surpasses on "care" really is a "home" to my mum.

Taking up residence in the care home was a great relief to Mum. She had previously been struggling with anything physical, including preparation of meals and generally looking after herself. After more than two months, Mum continues to be glad she became a resident and says she is particularly pleased at how kind, considerate and competent are the caring staff. She says the meals provided are good and sufficient.

My mother has been a resident at Wolborough Court since February 2024. She has settled well and bounced back from a bad time in hospital with the excellent care given. The manager is a wonderful individual who has an excellent rapport with residents and staff, all of whom are cheerful and very helpful. I have every confidence in the team who are working together well. It's great to feel confident that my mother is in good hands and can enjoy being looked after with love.

I particularly like the arrangement of the communal rooms and the range of activities on offer. The quality of the food is also very good, an important consideration.
