Wolborough Court

My mother has been a little unwell, but the girls have kept me up to date and do not mind when I ring to check on Mum. With the present restrictions, I am unable to visit so this has been very important. I cannot fault the care my mother receives. Thank you.

The home itself is clean, light and bright, with cheerful décor.

This home has such a homely feel about it. You can tell that the residents are all treated well and as individuals and cared for to a very high standard of care. I am so pleased to see my dear friend happy and well cared for. I usually visit my elderly friend a few times a month but at this moment in time with social distancing, I am only able to keep in touch via video calls and seeing her through the window. I know and can see she is happy and well looked after and I am very thankful for all that the manager and all staff are doing for her (and the other residents) especially over this difficult time. I'm looking forward to being able to get back to visiting her in person when the government gives the go-ahead for visiting care homes as we used to visit.

My mother has been a resident Wolborough Court since 2012. We could not have wished for her to have been anywhere else. We had strong doubts about her going into a care home but these were swiftly allayed. She has always been treated with care compassion and above all dignity. My mother has vascular dementia which can, and does at times, cause problems. These are always dealt with in a very sensitive way. We are aware of how well Mum is treated at the home and very appreciative. The home is very well kept, clean, smart and the food is of an excellent quality. All in all an excellent care home.

The home is nicely decorated and kept very clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wolborough Court.

It's very nice here. I've been here for a long time. They all look after me. I think I am happy and I enjoy the activities they do for me. The other people here are friendly, and I like to talk to them when I am downstairs in the lounge having a cup of tea.

All staff members I have met are kind, polite, treat the clients with respect, talking in a friendly manner. The food is good, cooked freshly on the premises, drinks are available at all times, and snacks or hot drinks are provided if someone wants something extra. Rooms are pleasant with ensuite facilities, various activities take place in the two lounges, a hairdresser comes in once a week, books and games for people to use are available. The atmosphere is friendly with a family feel.

Mum has been resident here for over two years now and has slowly required more and more care for her Parkinson's. The home is sensitive to her needs and she has been very happy since arriving here. We have been allowed to visit whenever we wish and are treated like one of the Wolborough Court family. The care my mother has been receiving here is of high quality.

Excellent care provided by a team of staff who are guided by a very caring care home manager who ensures residents are treated with dignity, respect, understanding and individuality. The friendly atmosphere, welcoming families and lovely surroundings inside and outside are combined with delicious food and attention to detail ensuring residents are happy and content. The staff go out of their way to provide a happy home for residents. Thank you for your love and care.

My mother was at Wolborough Court only for a short time before her death, but the care she received was exceptional, as was the staff's regard for her relatives. The home was clean, tidy, airy and bright; my mother's room was comfy and spacious. A number of activities were provided for residents. Relatives were always made welcome and never made to feel in the way. On her death, the sympathetic support received from all staff was outstanding. I cannot commend the staff, particularly the manager, enough.

What more can you say when everything was perfect from the cleaners to the senior staff. Wonderful.

The rooms are clean and tidy and the dining room always looks lovely and welcoming with fresh flowers and menus on the tables, plus the food is excellent. The care given to the residents is compassionate and caring.

Having only been a resident for a matter of months, I am very happy here and consider all aspects to be most satisfactory. I am also very glad to have had the opportunity. Many thanks.

Since being at the home her health and well being has improved greatly and she hasn't been admitted to hospital. Although we would much rather mum was able to live at home, we know that being at Wolborough is the best for mum and we know that she is being very well cared for.

My mum has been at Wolborough Court for three years and suffers from Alzheimer's. As the disease progresses, mum gets more angry and difficult. The staff deal with her with love and compassion. In turn, mum loves the staff. I could not have found a better place for my mum to end her days.

Wolborough Court's management and high standards set a good example for other care homes to aspire to. My mother is quite content with her life there,

My father who suffers from dementia has been a resident of Wolborough Court for the past 14 months and I cannot recommend it highly enough. He had spent the previous three years living at home with 24hr live in care and although well looked after he lacked the stimulation of seeing people on a continual basis. Once he became a resident in the home he has seemed much happier and far more stimulated. The Manager leads an excellent dedicated team of staff who all seem very happy in their work and who are always on hand to offer advice and help. They are all aware of my father's needs and are able to answer any questions or concerns I may have. My father seems to enjoy all his meals and will even on occasions join in with the numerous weekly activities on offer despite his dementia.

A quality care home which has a very dedicated manager who goes about her business in a very professional manner. A most courteous lady who is very well liked and respected by residents, staff, visitors and by trades people alike. The care home also has very polite and courteous staff. Excellent care and a very good medical service i.e doctors, nurses, ambulance, I'm nearny A and E facilities at the hospital. Kitchen, dining area spotlessly clean very well lit, all meals to a very high standard. To conclude, may I offer my own sincere thanks to all management and all staff for their care and dedication.

For the last 4 and a half years the staff at Wolborough Court have taken great care with my mother. They made her stay at the home very comfortable. If ever the meals were not to her liking, they would offer an alternative.
