The home provided outstanding care to my mother in the last few weeks of her life.
The staff treated her with nothing but kindness and dignity and are a credit to the organisation.
They were always pleasant and greeted me with a smile when I visited and I could see that they were often working under
difficult circumstances, but still nothing was too much trouble for them.
Any questions I had were always answered with a kindness that put me at ease and I knew that my mother was in the right place, receiving the care and attention that she deserved.
Once again, I cannot thank them enough.

My concerns for the care of my loved one in Belle Vue care home escalated over the period of residency. Numerous concerns were related to management.
Thankfully my loved one is no longer a resident at Belle Vue and is now resident in a nursing home providing kindness, care, compassion and dignity to
all the residents.

Once again, the staff excelled themselves, excellent Christmas Dinner and entertainment. The staff decorated the dining room, putting all the residents and their families around a large number of tables. A selection of non-alcoholic drinks was on offer, Farther Christmas gave out presents along with
their family. The whole experience for the residents and their families was very festive.

Our relative moved to Belle Vue Care Home earlier this year and at the time she was very distressed, having viewed the home we felt it looked like a happy caring place. Fast forward a few months and wow! She is bright and alert, during my visit she was acknowledged by every passing staff member and
she waved to them. She was very calm and visibly improved in her health and well being. It was so reassuring to see. Each staff member told me how well she was doing and you could hear the care and understanding in their voices. From the minute you enter the building it really is a home away from home but with all of the facilities required when 24 hour care is needed.

From the onset, Mum received exemplary care in what proved to be her final days.

Mum has been in Belle Vue Care Home since October 2019, when her Alzheimer's made it hard to keep her at home, despite the fact that I'm a retired geriatric nurse. Mum's emotional and well-being needs are more than met.
The nursing staff and cleaners are brilliant with the residents. The atmosphere
is one of a big happy family. The meals are not only nutritional and filling they are plentiful. I have eaten with Mum myself and found them delicious.
Tea and coffee are readily available for residents and visitors alike.
The rooms are spacious, clean and well-furnished. Activities for the residents are varied and fun we get photos and updates on what activities they are doing. Our input of anything Mum might enjoy that she hasn't yet been offered is immediately rectified and Mum's needs are met.
I couldn't recommend Belle Vue highly enough. Mum's happy and extremely well cared for.

Very happy to say Belle Vue Care Home is generally a very happy place for the residents and the staff are happy to help the service users and visitors. April seems to have been a time for smiles as mask wearing is no longer compulsory (with the reduction in Covid-19), subsequently communications by
expression are bringing emotional rewards for residents, visitors and staff.

Making the decision to place our gran in a home was the hardest one, especially during lockdown! However, it was the best decision we could have made in placing Gran at Belle Vue! The staff have supported us all, and most importantly our grampa with the transition and has helped in a vast improvement
in our gran's health. She is able to wander to her heart's content which is all she ever wanted to do at home.

All the carers have been absolutely amazing in caring for my dad. My dad has had complex needs for many years and cannot communicate very well. They have treated him with respect and dignity throughout his stay.
The staff listen to any concerns we have and acts on them and reports back to me.
We
recently celebrated my dad's 90th birthday and Belle Vue organised an area where we could be together as a family. The room was decorated and a cake was provided and endless amounts of tea and coffee.

My mum has been in Belle Vue Care Home for the past 4 weeks. She was very anxious at first but thanks to the dedication, care, atmosphere and hard work of the staff, Mum has settled in very well and joined in on various activities the home offers. Food is catered for Mum's needs and every one of the

Mum has been a resident since January 2023, after a fall in the home and a broken hip, her underlying health deteriorated (Mum has Parkinson's and dementia).
From the first instance going into Belle Vue, it filled me with comfort, as the compassions from all staff on site the catering, reception, nursing
team, HCA just everyone. I feel reassured not only are Mum's medical needs being looked after but also that they respect the voice of the resident, her dignity and that of her family.
Outstanding in the operations of the meals provided, and cleanliness, entertainment would give the holiday camps a run for the money, bespoke to the ages and interests of all residents.

The nursing home has provided our mum with a wonderful and caring environment. The manager and staff are amazing, so caring and kind. They provided wonderful care for her, for the last 2 years of her life, sensitive, kind and professional end-of-life care. We are so grateful for their care and attention.
She was very happy there and the staff all loved her so that was a great comfort to us as a family. Highly recommend this wonderful nursing home

Our mum moved into Belle Vue in June 2022. As a family, we visited several nursing homes and Belle Vue is without doubt head and shoulders above the rest. Staff are polite and welcoming, the home is spotlessly clean and the manager is fantastic, she has helped with settling Mum in, very quickly recognising
all of Mum's needs. Nothing is too much trouble. Communication is excellent which is so important when we, as a family, cannot be with Mum 24 hours a day. Thank you for all you do!

From that initial meeting to Mum's moving-in day and every day since we have been made to feel welcome and supported. The care and attention
Mum receives from every single Belle Vue team member are exemplary. The Belle Vue family is a fabulous family to belong to, whether you are a resident or a relative. Words cannot express how amazing the manager and her team are. The whole ethos of the home is excellent. We know as a family that if Mum could have picked her own nursing home, she would have picked Belle Vue.

Belle Vue and its staff were amazing with Dad, helping us to celebrate Mum and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. Whilst not quite how they’d hoped they’d spend the occasion, Mum and Dad were treated superbly, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our whole family were able to celebrate together.
After what has been an awful year, it was so lovely to come together and celebrate their lives together. Belle Vue’s manager was excellent at communicating with Mum and me over emails and in-person about how we could make plans.The manager organised a special room and outdoor space so that we could all be together. The grandchildren were even considered with the fab staff leaving them a tray of choccies and biscuits. It’s these little touches that really make the difference. The staff had also made a sign with their names on and decorated the room. Such care and compassion. We are so pleased that Dad is being so well looked after and that the care home support not just him but us, his family.

Our Mum was transferred to Belle Vue by Torbay hospital, and with COVID restrictions, we couldn't see mum for 4 days. The staff contacted us to find out mums needs and her preferences. Unfortunately, mum was identified as being at end of life, but we were able to stay with mum day and night, we are
three sisters and all mum wanted was her girls. We met an agency care assistant, who was shocked we were spending the night with mum, we promised mum she would not die alone. The next day she came in with home-cooked meals for us. This huge act of kindness made us realise that mum was being looked after by exceptional people and made a difficult time easier. On the second night we stayed, a male care assistant bought us comfortable armchairs. Mum was looked after with compassion, kindness and respect, she was spoken to in a gentle, friendly manner and her wishes were respected. We were also treated with great compassion. Belle Vue has changed our opinion of nursing homes.

A little about me; I’m Paula, a Registered Nurse, and Home Manager of Belle Vue Care Home. I was born in Romania and moved to the Southwest Coast of the UK in 2014. I began working for Harbour Healthcare in 2018 and can honestly say, I have never looked back. I work alongside a great team handpicked for their kind and caring natures. Each team member shows dedication, skill, and knowledge to care for our residents. We all receive thorough and ongoing training to provide an excellent standard of care, which makes me proud to be part of the Belle Vue Care Home Team.


I bring my ‘teacup chihuahua’ to work each day, she’s the best companion. She loves snuggles and cuddles and will happily spend all day curled up on an inviting lap! Her name is Ruby.


You will often see me with my sleeves rolled up attending to our residents. Caring and Nursing for people is my passion and spending time with the residents is something I take pride in every day.
