Our mum moved into Belle Vue in June 2022. As a family, we visited several nursing homes and Belle Vue is without doubt head and shoulders above the rest. Staff are polite and welcoming, the home is spotlessly clean and the manager is fantastic, she has helped with settling Mum in, very quickly recognising
all of Mum's needs. Nothing is too much trouble. Communication is excellent which is so important when we, as a family, cannot be with Mum 24 hours a day. Thank you for all you do!

As a family, we visited five nursing homes while researching for the perfect nursing home for our mum. Belle Vue Care Home stood head and shoulders above them all. From that initial meeting to Mum's moving-in day and every day since we have been made to feel welcome and supported. The care and attention
Mum receives from every single Belle Vue team member are exemplary. The Belle Vue family is a fabulous family to belong to, whether you are a resident or a relative. Words cannot express how amazing the manager and her team are. The whole ethos of the home is excellent. We know as a family that if Mum could have picked her own nursing home, she would have picked Belle Vue.

Belle Vue and its staff were amazing with Dad, helping us to celebrate Mum and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. Whilst not quite how they’d hoped they’d spend the occasion, Mum and Dad were treated superbly, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our whole family were able to celebrate together.
After what has been an awful year, it was so lovely to come together and celebrate their lives together. Belle Vue’s manager was excellent at communicating with Mum and me over emails and in-person about how we could make plans.The manager organised a special room and outdoor space so that we could all be together. The grandchildren were even considered with the fab staff leaving them a tray of choccies and biscuits. It’s these little touches that really make the difference. The staff had also made a sign with their names on and decorated the room. Such care and compassion. We are so pleased that Dad is being so well looked after and that the care home support not just him but us, his family.

Our Mum was transferred to Belle Vue by Torbay hospital, and with COVID restrictions, we couldn't see mum for 4 days. The staff contacted us to find out mums needs and her preferences. Unfortunately, mum was identified as being at end of life, but we were able to stay with mum day and night, we are
three sisters and all mum wanted was her girls. We met an agency care assistant, who was shocked we were spending the night with mum, we promised mum she would not die alone. The next day she came in with home-cooked meals for us. This huge act of kindness made us realise that mum was being looked after by exceptional people and made a difficult time easier. On the second night we stayed, a male care assistant bought us comfortable armchairs. Mum was looked after with compassion, kindness and respect, she was spoken to in a gentle, friendly manner and her wishes were respected. We were also treated with great compassion. Belle Vue has changed our opinion of nursing homes.

I made visits on three successive days having come far, I was met and treated in a very friendly, efficient way by all the staff I met each day. My wife went into Belle Vue in June 2020. I had been caring for her for many months but by June, she needed professional care that alas, I could not provide. The staff are excellent, very caring and kind and they have now become her second family. She now seems settled and happy at Belle Vue and the
only problem I have is visiting, as the care home must be careful. I hope vaccinations will soon be done so that contact visiting can take place again.

All the staff have been kind and helpful through the pandemic keeping the residents happy. I can't wait to see my husband in the usual way I've not seen him inside since March and missed our Golden Wedding Anniversary. I know we had to do it but it was hard. It was so hard for all the staff they were
so tired, they all have been brilliant.

My sister had a neurological disorder that affected her ability to walk and which became progressively worse. She was also diagnosed with Leukemia and Lymphoma and spent several weeks in hospital. After leaving hospital, she spent a short period in a care home before going to Belle Vue Care Home in
Sept 2019. The nursing staff at Belle Vue were excellent. I was informed immediately if there was any change in my sister's condition and what action was being taken. The care staff were sympathetic to my sister's condition and made time to chat and respond to her needs. An activities coordinator helped her maintain her interest in crafts. Unfortunately, her health deteriorated. She also caught COVID 19 and went into hospital. She survived and returned to Belle Vue but died some weeks later.

Belle Vue is a lot better now than in previous years. Would be nice for residents on the dementia floor to be taken outside more. Personal care is good - baths could be more frequent. Food good.

Beautiful care home with caring and compassionate carers. It's a home from home for mum and all the staff treat her with love and care even in difficult times. Food, activities and cleanliness are a very high standard and the bedrooms and ensuites like a hotel. Fantastic.

With Covid diagnosed for my mum, the care and support was outstanding (as always) not only for her but for me too. She has been there for almost 13 years and would not hesitate to recommend Belle Vue to anyone. I hope when my time comes to be looked after, I have a team like them.

I can not thank Belle Vue staff enough for the last few months during this pandemic, as not being able to visit, they have put in place video messaging enabling our family to keep in touch. I would definitely recommend Belle Vue for a relative with dementia, they are caring for mum superbly as I know
she is not always easy.

I feel completely confident that my dad receives the best care here at Belle Vue. The staff treat him like their own family, while I am not able to visit, and he can't use modern tech, Belle Vue are entirely reachable by phone, email and facebook. I can see how he is, as can relatives internationally.
Any concerns I have are answered promptly. I know the staff go above and beyond their duty of care. I am very happy that I have done the best I can for dad and I know he is happy, safe, well fed and cared for.

My mother was here for only two and a half week s during the outbreak of COVID-19, so we only saw her once in that time. The staff was exceptional, kind, and caring and very helpful in letting me know how Mum was. In her end of life and the last few days they kept us fully up to date with her care and
treatment and when we visited, treated her with dignity and kindness. I couldn't have wanted any better treatment than she got here. The staff is wonderful and complete gems!

My mum uses this service which I found to be very good, the staff seem to be very person-centred and friendly, the activities they offer are fun and engaging while the care they receive is of top quality. The food on offer always looked appetising and I always feel welcome when I visit. During lockdown
the staff worked with me to arrange a video call on mums birthday where I enjoyed watching her open her presents, the organised a cake which is a nice touch. Overall the home seems well led with a friendly team of managers and I'm happy that my mum is there.

Mum has been at Belle Vue since November 2018, she loves it. The staff are great. Mum takes part in activities, the food is wonderful and the decor of the home is lovely. It is way better than the home Mum was in before. I would recommend Belle Vue, I am very happy Mum is cared for very well. There
