From the onset, Mum received exemplary care in what proved to be her final days.

The staff were caring, compassionate, attentive, professional and kind. We were welcomed into a homely environment where we could visit as we wished. Thank you to the team.

Mum has been in Belle Vue Care Home since October 2019, when her Alzheimer's made it hard to keep her at home, despite the fact that I'm a retired geriatric nurse. Mum's emotional and well-being needs are more than met.
The nursing staff and cleaners are brilliant with the residents. The atmosphere is one of a big happy family. The meals are not only nutritional and filling they are plentiful. I have eaten with Mum myself and found them delicious.
Tea and coffee are readily available for residents and visitors alike.
The rooms are spacious, clean and well-furnished. Activities for the residents are varied and fun we get photos and updates on what activities they are doing. Our input of anything Mum might enjoy that she hasn't yet been offered is immediately rectified and Mum's needs are met.

I couldn't recommend Belle Vue highly enough. Mum's happy and extremely well cared for.

Very happy to say Belle Vue Care Home is generally a very happy place for the residents and the staff are happy to help the service users and visitors. April seems to have been a time for smiles as mask wearing is no longer compulsory (with the reduction in Covid-19), subsequently communications by expression are bringing emotional rewards for residents, visitors and staff.

Thank you all for helping my mum live her best life possible.

Making the decision to place our gran in a home was the hardest one, especially during lockdown! However, it was the best decision we could have made in placing Gran at Belle Vue! The staff have supported us all, and most importantly our grampa with the transition and has helped in a vast improvement in our gran's health. She is able to wander to her heart's content which is all she ever wanted to do at home.

All the carers have been absolutely amazing in caring for my dad. My dad has had complex needs for many years and cannot communicate very well. They have treated him with respect and dignity throughout his stay.
The staff listen to any concerns we have and acts on them and reports back to me.
We recently celebrated my dad's 90th birthday and Belle Vue organised an area where we could be together as a family. The room was decorated and a cake was provided and endless amounts of tea and coffee.
Thank you so much you're really appreciated.

Kind regards from our family.

My mum has been in Belle Vue Care Home for the past 4 weeks. She was very anxious at first but thanks to the dedication, care, atmosphere and hard work of the staff, Mum has settled in very well and joined in on various activities the home offers. Food is catered for Mum's needs and every one of the staff is approachable and helpful. I can now feel rested knowing Mum is well looked after so big, big thank you to all the staff at Belle Vue. Keep up the great work.

Mum has been a resident since January 2023, after a fall in the home and a broken hip, her underlying health deteriorated (Mum has Parkinson's and dementia).
From the first instance going into Belle Vue, it filled me with comfort, as the compassions from all staff on site the catering, reception, nursing team, HCA just everyone. I feel reassured not only are Mum's medical needs being looked after but also that they respect the voice of the resident, her dignity and that of her family.
Outstanding in the operations of the meals provided, and cleanliness, entertainment would give the holiday camps a run for the money, bespoke to the ages and interests of all residents.

Thank you all so much, I am very grateful for what you all do.

The nursing home has provided our mum with a wonderful and caring environment. The manager and staff are amazing, so caring and kind. They provided wonderful care for her, for the last 2 years of her life, sensitive, kind and professional end-of-life care. We are so grateful for their care and attention. She was very happy there and the staff all loved her so that was a great comfort to us as a family. Highly recommend this wonderful nursing home

Our mum moved into Belle Vue in June 2022. As a family, we visited several nursing homes and Belle Vue is without doubt head and shoulders above the rest. Staff are polite and welcoming, the home is spotlessly clean and the manager is fantastic, she has helped with settling Mum in, very quickly recognising all of Mum's needs. Nothing is too much trouble. Communication is excellent which is so important when we, as a family, cannot be with Mum 24 hours a day. Thank you for all you do!

As a family, we visited five nursing homes while researching for the perfect nursing home for our mum. Belle Vue Care Home stood head and shoulders above them all. From that initial meeting to Mum's moving-in day and every day since we have been made to feel welcome and supported. The care and attention Mum receives from every single Belle Vue team member are exemplary. The Belle Vue family is a fabulous family to belong to, whether you are a resident or a relative. Words cannot express how amazing the manager and her team are. The whole ethos of the home is excellent. We know as a family that if Mum could have picked her own nursing home, she would have picked Belle Vue.

Belle Vue and its staff were amazing with Dad, helping us to celebrate Mum and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. Whilst not quite how they’d hoped they’d spend the occasion, Mum and Dad were treated superbly, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our whole family were able to celebrate together. After what has been an awful year, it was so lovely to come together and celebrate their lives together. Belle Vue’s manager was excellent at communicating with Mum and me over emails and in-person about how we could make plans. The manager organised a special room and outdoor space so that we could all be together. The grandchildren were even considered with the fab staff leaving them a tray of choccies and biscuits. It’s these little touches that really make the difference. The staff had also made a sign with their names on and decorated the room. Such care and compassion. We are so pleased that Dad is being so well looked after and that the care home support not just him but us, his family.

Our Mum was transferred to Belle Vue by Torbay hospital, and with COVID restrictions, we couldn't see mum for 4 days. The staff contacted us to find out mums needs and her preferences. Unfortunately, mum was identified as being at end of life, but we were able to stay with mum day and night, we are three sisters and all mum wanted was her girls. We met an agency care assistant, who was shocked we were spending the night with mum, we promised mum she would not die alone. The next day she came in with home-cooked meals for us. This huge act of kindness made us realise that mum was being looked after by exceptional people and made a difficult time easier. On the second night we stayed, a male care assistant bought us comfortable armchairs. Mum was looked after with compassion, kindness and respect, she was spoken to in a gentle, friendly manner and her wishes were respected. We were also treated with great compassion. Belle Vue has changed our opinion of nursing homes.

I made visits on three successive days having come far, I was met and treated in a very friendly, efficient way by all the staff I met each day. My wife went into Belle Vue in June 2020. I had been caring for her for many months but by June, she needed professional care that alas, I could not provide. The staff are excellent, very caring and kind and they have now become her second family. She now seems settled and happy at Belle Vue and the only problem I have is visiting, as the care home must be careful. I hope vaccinations will soon be done so that contact visiting can take place again.
