During my Mother's stay in Hill House Nursing Home, I found all the staff absolutely wonderful. They were loving and caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. The residents were treated with dignity and politeness. The food is extremely appetising, very generous portions and all diets are catered for. There are activities and entertainment every weekday for those that wish it. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hill House for long or short stays.

My father was only there for a short time. However, I am so relieved that he passed away in such a lovely caring environment. The staff exceeded all of our expectations. The love and care they displayed were truly wonderful.

Obviously given the circumstances the experience could never have been termed 'good' nonetheless, this home gave context for it to have been probably as good as it could have been.

I valued the quality of the room, the privacy it afforded and its open aspect as well as its general comfort. Most staff were friendly and sensitive to the situation. I was concerned about the lack of response time when my wife needed attention (or had pressed the bell ) I feel this factor needs addressing .

As a Doctor, I have spent a great deal of time in various nursing homes and experienced the varying levels of care they provide. I have to say that Hill House often a standard of care well above anything I have seen before. The compassion the individual nurses and carers displayed when looking after my grandfather (and my father) was exceptional. It was always a pleasure to visit this warming, friendly environment and I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending them or indeed have a close family member be cared for here in the future. Thank you, Hill House.

Hill House is quite simply a wonderful place. The level of care is exceptional from the nurses and health care assistants; from the catering staff to the cleaners and laundry. Everyone is open and friendly and supportive. The administrative staff support in every way they can and the home is lucky to have an activities coordinator who dedicates herself totally to trying to involve all residents and where they cannot come to the lounge she goes to them. I have been so lucky that my dad's last 2 years have been in this nursing home where he is treated with respect, dignity and cared for by everyone as if he was their dad.

My parents were both admitted to Hill House at the same time and the care they have both received has been exemplary. I cannot praise the staff highly enough - they are caring, attentive and respectful. Sadly, my father passed away recently and my mother has been comforted and supported by all the staff there in a very loving and considerate manner.

The Home is clean and well looked after and the bedrooms and communal areas are comfortable and spacious. The food is very nice and there are hot and cold drinks available to visitors who are made to feel very welcome.

Very kind staff. Very caring, puts your mind at ease. Brilliant home. Well pleased. Not many mothers in care at the age of 106 get this brilliant treatment.

Hill House is a very clean and homely home. The staff are truly caring, like they are your own family. There is never a nasty smell anywhere, the rooms are lovely and clean, food is so good and presented nice. My mother and the other residents are always clean and nothing is too much trouble. Also, the girls are always happy - even if they do not feel like it in themselves. One thing is, in the 'sun lounge' there is quite often no carer, popping in to see if anyone wants to go to the toilet, and they can't have a bell - I suppose they would be ringing for nothing. Very recommendable. Excellent care - you can go home and relax!!

Initially management staff took plenty of time to discuss in detail the facilities they would provide. During her stay the care and support teams provided a first class service which kept her as comfortable as her failing health permitted. I and my family have the greatest respect for everyone involved, directly and indirectly, who looked after my wife during the last weeks of her life. All our thanks, you were great.
