Primley Court Nursing Home

My experience with Primley Court has been very welcoming and warm in visiting my husband. The staff have been excellent and I couldn't be happier as my husband is very settled and happy there.

My husband has been in Primley Court for the past 3 years. The care he has received is excellent. I would recommend Primley Court to anyone looking for a care home.

Mum has been looked after and cared for professionally in a compassionate way.

The care home is run very well. There are plenty of nurses and attendants to deal with some very confused and difficult residents. The staff are also very helpful to visitors and liaise with them on a personal basis. Special mention should go to the manager; as she is very efficient and manages to retain a sense of humour amongst the madness.

My mum has been a resident at Primley Court for a considerable amount of time now. She is treated with tender care and respect. Applaud all staff for their commitment shown in what can be challenging and demanding. When my visits end, I leave safe in the knowledge that Mum is in safe and capable hands, which gives me peace of mind. From my heart, thank you Primley Court.

After looking at several care homes we decided that this was the very best in all ways. My husband has been here for 12 months and I have found no problems. All the staff are wonderful, food and drink is excellent as are the activities and special days i.e valentines day, easter, birthdays, parties and lots of music.

It was heartbreaking when my Mum and I had to make the horrible decision to put Dad into care. At first, visiting him at Primley was hard, but in a short amount of time Dad settled and soon it became evident, after taking him out for a drive, that he couldn't wait to get back to Primley. All the staff were always jolly, warm and friendly. My Dad felt safe there! The nurses and carers soon became an extended family to him and to my Mum and me. One particular member of staff cared for my Father like he was her own family. We can't express our gratitude enough.

My mother spent the last week of her life at Primley Court, Paignton, where she received the care and attention that she needed by the wonderful, awesome nurses and everyone else who is lucky enough to work there. As soon as she got there she felt at home and happy, the love, care and attention she received was 2nd to none. Amazing place.

This care home and its exceptional staff provided my dad with the most fantastic care I could imagine. Available for visiting at any time, this gives relatives assurance there is a natural consistent approach in how people are treated here. The staff loved my dad (who sadly passed away in April 2019) who was a resident here for five years. I know this because they told me - and I witnessed it. Nothing was too much trouble. I live some distance from Primley Court which at times inspired me to think about moving Dad closer - I am so glad I never did because the care at a new venue, would never have matched what he received here. I could not recommend a place more highly for loved ones to spend the remainder of their days.

My mother was moved to the home in a very bad way after a long stay in hospital. Since then she has improved well and has been cared for very well by the staff. The staff and management have been wonderfully patient, kind, caring and professional. The home is a little tired, but after arranging nice things in the room it is very nice and comfortable. I am very grateful to them for everything.

The home and staff were wonderful. Great care was taken to make my uncle happy and comfortable during his last months.

I am confident he is in the right place for him.

Looking after dementia residents is a very difficult job, The staff at Primley are well trained and do very well. With so little funding I am sure they are not paid enough for what they do.

Mum is being looked after very well at Primley Court.

Dads 8 months of care at Primley View was exceptional. All the staff were kind, attentive and respectful. There wasn't one person involved in his care that I felt uncomfortable with. We could speak to a nurse at any time and after his peaceful passing, we have no unanswered questions. The family were always welcomed and we were very well supported. Some improvements were made both inside and outside, rooms decorated outside space made more attractive. The staff clearly work well as a team and are very well managed.

My husband took up residence after being in hospital for 6 weeks - once he had settled into the routine he became calm. The carers have always shown unbelieveable patience towards him and the other residents. His room is spotless.

He is very confused and his memory is negligible, but owing to my bad health over the last 18 months, I have been so thankful, when in hospital, that he is in good hands.

I would recommend Primley Court Nursing Home to all my family and friends.

My mother was admitted to Primley Court after a serious deterioration in her Vascular Dementia. The place that she was in for assessment could not manage her and she was taken to Primley Court. My mother settled well due to the care she received. She is well looked after both physically and emotionally. The staff are all kind and caring, treating their patients with respect. At a very traumatic time for our family, we were also met with kindness and consideration. This is a well staffed, well-run home caring for the people with very difficult needs, to a very high standard. I feel that my mother is in safe hands.
