Castle View

The care home is immaculate, every member of the staff goes about their day with a smile and it is obvious that they great a great deal of pride in their work.

I spent a week in Castle View to convalesce following a back operation.

The staff were all friendly, caring and professional.

Nothing was too much trouble.

The home is well run and more like a nice hotel.

It wasn't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again should the need arise.

The staff and management at Castle View are like a family. It does not matter if you are speaking to cleaners, laundry, nursing staff, activities staff, catering or admin. They always know who you are and check if there is anything they can do. I know my mother is getting the best care possible and she is safe and secure 24/7. I have recommended Castle View to my friends who are looking for residential care.

My mother went into Castle View for palliative care. The home was where I wanted her to be, as I have been to the home on many occasions. Everything was as I anticipated. The staff were all amazing - friendly and caring from the management, administrators, nursery, HCS's, kitchen and domestic staff. I could not fault them in any way.

It is nice to know that Mum is safe and happy and being very well cared for. All the staff are extremely caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. Mum enjoys going out on the organised activities. The food is very good, especially the puddings! Overall I find the home is run to a very high standard and all the staff work to an extremely high standard. I can't imagine Mum living anywhere else.

The quality of food is excellent with little expense spared. The gardens offer a beautiful space in which to relax.

The staff at Castle View were incredibly good. Nothing was too much trouble and they demonstrated unbelievable patience and professionalism at difficult times. We could not fault the quality of care and I would recommend them to anyone.

I am leaving with reluctance as I shall miss every aspect of my care but know that I shall return one day (please) when I am even older.

This point was reached recently - I'm 88 and I can tell that my very caring neighbours (who have been extremely helpful - and CONCERNED when I've been needing care) are very relieved that I am at Castle View (a very short distance from my home in Poundbury).

Ever since I arrived at the end of February 2018 I have been shown the utmost care from members of the staff. Nothing seems to be too much for them and they have been so kind, friendly and cheerful and always there to give one a hug on the few days I have felt a bit down. As I can no longer live on my own I can't think of a better place to be. Thank you all so much for the support you have given me.

There is a friendly atmosphere and visitors are always made very welcome.

From introduction to our first visit when my father moved into the residence I have been extremely impressed with the excellence of staff, their professionalism and compassion. It is a very welcoming place and I was happy to learn that my father is also very content and pleased with his "home from home"!

The staff at the care home take excellent care of my mother. Her dietary needs are known and catered for. I am particularly pleased with the wide range of activities on offer. It is good to see crosswords and word games were given such high priority - very important to help keep elderly brains active!

I find it a most comfortable and friendly home.

All the staff were friendly and professional, our family could not be happier with the care our dear mother is getting. Knowing she is in safe hands has given us peace of mind.

Having been visiting Castle View for many years, I have always been greeted well by the staff. We have also been very pleased with the way the staff have looked after our friend, with all her needs.

Now she is in very senior years and needs much more medical attention, again we have found her needs are well attended to.

This home is like a 5 star hotel! From the moment we came to look around, the staff have been so welcoming, helpful and caring. My father loves his room, which is spotlessly clean, and looks out over playing fields. The food is superb.

We and my father are so delighted to have found Castle View and look forward to many happy times here with the reassurance that he will be well looked after. I would highly recommend Castle View to anyone seeking top quality care in a friendly environment.
