Superb. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Top quality.
My mother-in-law suffers from lymphodema but had no problems when she entered Castle View. However, on collection after a two-week stay her legs had swollen and were leaking so much so that she could not walk. We had to borrow a wheelchair to get her back to her home. Where we called the district nurse who came and was appalled at the state of her legs so much so that they came every day for the next 10 days to attend to her. As far as I know, no action was taken by the home apart from using towels. It is significant that after this visit no mention has been made by Castle View of completing a review form unlike when she stayed before. A truly disgusting experience, never to be repeated but will be followed by a formal complaint to CQC.
Thank you for your recent review regarding the care of your mother at Castle View. We are sorry to learn that you felt this occasion was different from her previous positive stays. Your mother came to Castle View with significant nursing needs that were previously managed and supported by the...
The activities are very interesting and lots of residents come so that we all meet up.
I think it's super value and makes me well and confident.
My sister was in your care for several weeks at the end of her life. I felt the care she received was wonderful. She was given every care and consideration, as was I when I visited.
My aunt was in for palliative care and received the most caring and first-class experience. The staff couldn't do enough to make her comfortable following a long battle with cancer. Towards the end, the home was accommodating the family and their hospitality made us so comfortable. The service we received made my aunt's last days bearable and for that we are grateful.
I have really enjoyed my stay and have no hesitation to come again.
I would certainly recommend Castle View Care Home.
I cannot praise highly enough the excellent level of nursing and care my husband received during his recent five month stay at Castle View Care Home. Its welcoming, friendly and calm atmosphere makes it an ideal place to reside and recover. All aspects of my husband's needs - medical, personal caring, mobility support, diet and general welfare - were provided by professional, dedicated, patient and understanding staff. All staff were readily available to discuss and resolve any concerns, providing support for all the family. Heartfelt thanks to everyone.
I have been delighted with the care and support I received from all of the staff I received in the home. Everybody has been most attentive and nothing has been too much trouble. In addition, the home has the benefit of excellent facilities and a lovely garden. The food has also been exceptional including delicious curries and other dishes. The desserts are very naughty but very nice.
My mother spent the last few months of her life at Castle View and I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and kindness that they showed Mum during that time. All the staff were approachable, friendly, always there to help and support and were clearly dedicated to their work and the care and wellbeing of the residents.
I have enjoyed my stay at Castle View, which I have found a very friendly and efficient place.
The staff are excellent.
Brilliant all over.
My mother has been at Castle View for 4 years and I cannot praise the staff enough for their dedication to their positions and to the residents. They go the extra mile to ensure the residents are happy. As a relative it is very reassuring. I find all staff approachable, very friendly and always happy to assist if needs be.
The care home has a very positive atmosphere. All the staff including handymen, cleaners, carers, nurses, kitchen staff, receptionists, admin staff and managers are all extremely cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and they go out of their way to resolve any problems or issues. Everyone you meet greets you and are genuinely caring.
The care I receive at Castle View is more than excellent. The staff in all departments are very friendly, caring and cannot do enough for me.
Everything about this home has been marvellous.
My wife enjoyed herself in respite care in very good company and good service through all her staff-connection and services.
I was delighted that my dear friend was able to have been provided with the high level of care as provided by all members of staff during the three months spent at Castle View. The ability to review changing degrees of health was extremely helpful. The professionalism of the organisation is to be commended. Many thanks.
The food is fresh, well cooked and well presented. I would have no hesitation recommending Castle View to others.
