Built in the 1840s, this magnificent house was redesigned and refurbished in the early 1980s. It is situated in its own grounds, a short walk from the beach in a peaceful area of Westbourne, near Bournemouth. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained, providing pleasant areas to sit and walk with sufficient space for disabled access.

Zetland Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support for up to 71 residents.

The level of care each person receives will depend on their individual needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Please contact Zetland Court for further information.

Respite care may be offered subject to availability and will depend on an assessment of a person’s care needs.

As a family, we are extremely happy with the care and support my grandfather receives at Zetland Court. The building, beautiful grounds and rooms are immaculate and the food is of restaurant quality. The staff are always wonderfully caring, not only to my grandfather but also to us when we visit. We
feel he is very well looked after and genuinely cared for. We would strongly recommend Zetland Court to any family looking for a residential/care home. We can't thank you enough.

Without exception, I have found all the staff in all roles to be helpful and professional. Mum is treated with respect and every effort is made to make her feel comfortable and settled. Nothing is too much trouble. Communication is very good if there has been a concern about mums health or wellbeing,
someone is always available for as much time as I need to discuss possible remedies. The activities staff provide a great programme and catering excellent.

It has obviously been a big decision as to where my mum should be placed and not having the experience in the selection process it seemed quite daunting similar to choosing a school for your children. However, I'm pleased to say I have no regrets. Instead, due to the excellent care, she receives and

My Nan has been a resident at Zetland Court for several years with fairly serious dementia. The staff have always been fantastic - and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for them. The building itself is always clean and well maintained and all of the residents seem to be exceptionally well cared
for. I can't recommend highly enough.

The carers I have seen one always polite and treat my grandparents with respect. They happily answer my questions and listen to my feedback. They do their best to meet any requests and are tolerant of residents frustrations. I feel they have got to know my grandparents well.

I have every respect for all members of staff, they are well trained and cheerfully help me with all my needs. There is plenty of entertainment and companionship with other residents. The food is good and they cater for my vegetarian requirements.

Zetland Court displays total caring both for residents and family. Staff are all friendly, thoughtful and compassionate. Nothing appears too much trouble and one never feels that as a non-resident, you are being a nuisance.

My husband is in the Red Admiral Wing and there are no words which can describe the excellent care which the residents receive. They are treated with respect, understanding and courtesy at all times. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are truly dedicated to those in their care. Relatives
are always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I couldn't wish for a better place for my husband. Thank you all.

My husband has been a resident for seven weeks and has always been treated with respect and patience by all staff. He is a weighty gentleman with very limited mobility, but this is not a problem it seems. We cannot fault anything and thank God that a vacancy occurred at a very difficult time for myself.

Despite having to deal with an emotionally difficult situation (my grandad having dementia), the staff at Zetland Court have been truly amazing.
They have welcomed me and my family into the Zetland family with open arms. The care and service provided to my grandad and our family has been wonderful.

My 96-year-old mother has been a resident at Zetland Court for 8 months. She had been extremely happy from day one. The staff are all amazing - they are kind, understanding and are always smiling. Every member of staff know all the 70+ residents' names, whenever they pass them, they greet them with
a smile, a hold of the hand or an embrace. The surroundings inside and out are wonderful. There are at least two organised activities each day which they all seem to enjoy. I cannot fault this amazing, warm, caring home.

I have been very happy with the quality of the care, accommodation and the home itself. The carers are very friendly and helpful. The schedule of activities is excellent. My only issue is that the home could use some more staff to help those already

I lead by example and I’m very passionate about dementia care being centred on the person rather than the environment. I believe any person should be encouraged to lead their care with support.


I have been involved in dementia care for over 30 years. I joined RMBI Care Co. in 2020 as a Dementia Lead, and I continuously seek training and peer support to enhance the lives of those living with dementia.

I am an advocate for any person with dementia and extend this to our communities, where I carry out awareness sessions to promote outstanding dementia care.


My saying is a person first, dementia second.
