The staff are lovely very friendly caring and helpful. However there are things that could be improved sometimes in the lounge in the mornings there isn't much going on. One resident actually said to me "I'd just as well go back to my room, there's nothing much going on here". Also the dining room is used to mainly be tables for 4 now its mainly tables of 2, why? How are residents going to get to know each other better if there only 2 on a table.The guttering needs cleaning out, its building in places.

My husband and I found Magna Care Home five years ago for our friend. He was disabled and wheelchair bound, and it was our last choice in the area that would be suitable for us to visit without travelling too far. He had been turned down by other homes and we thought it would be the same response from Magna. It was the very best we could have hoped for and he was welcoming with open arms by the staff. He was respected at all times, and I could not be happier to say the best decision we have made on his behalf.

Thank you to everyone from the chefs for good healthy tasty food. Cleaners for keeping the rooms and communal areas spic and span and all the nurses and carers.

my mother in law has been in the care home since last September . I cannot fault the staff . they are kind and considerate and obviously like their job . they are pro active in their duties and care and this is not just the medical staff but the office staff, cleaners.kitchen staff and housekeeping too...nothing seems to be any trouble and they are welcoming and friendly to us visitors too

I don't even know where to start, but from the moment we stepped into the magna for a look around, it felt like home. It was warm and cosy and had a real family feel to it. All the staff were happy and smiley and would say hello. We knew instantly this was the right place for my nanny to come after viewing multiple other homes. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy and decorated perfectly. There is a lovely lounge area to sit in and they were so welcoming to family and friends that visited. We were able to stay for meals and the staff were so inclusive with family. Although nanny wasn't there long, she was extremely well cared for and looked after. The staff at magna all hold a special place in our hearts for the love and care they not only showed nanny, but all the family as well. I highly recommend the Magna to anyone looking for somewhere to send a loved one.

Magna Care Centre provides excellent and supportive care to its residents. My mother has been a resident there for over two years and I could not wish for a better care environment for her. They offer varied activities for their residents. The whole environment is caring and supportive. An exceptional care home.

Magna Care centre deserves more than 5 stars! Towards the end of a year of caring for our Dad through the final stages of terminal cancer, coping with all the treatments, the hospital and Hospice visits and stays, culminating in having carers to his home three times a day, Dad had endured enough and we were thankfully guided by the Palliative Care Team to find his final home in every sense of the word. Magna Care Centre is nestled in beautiful grounds at Canford Magna and is a true breath of fresh air! What an oasis of calm, tranquility and perfection it is! Immediately upon speaking with the lovely Stella on the phone, to entering the welcoming doors of the Spanish Hacienda style entrance, my brother and I knew we had "found the one". We cannot commend the home more highly to anyone who needs help facing the difficult decision of placing the care and responsibility of their nearest and dearest at a time when you are overwhelmed and sad to your core. Always made very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Great diary of activities, always planned, and a timetable issued. Facilities are always available, and take time to maintain the residents' belongings and room tidiness.

In all Magna Care was a fantastic experience.

My Mother has been staying at Magna Care Centre since December 2025. Mum is now very settled at the care home . The nurses, carers and all of the staff are always friendly and helpful and all of Mum's needs are met with professionalism, compassion and smiles. The food is excellent and enjoyed by all! The daily activities are always varied, creative and full of fun! Housekeeping and maintenance keep the home very clean and tidy and are always there to support all of the residents. Mum is looking forward to sitting outside in the Spring in their pretty courtyard garden full of flowers and plants to enjoy in the sunshine. The home arranges lots of interesting events that often includes the local community so everyone can get involved and enjoy being together. Magna really is a special home from home and Mum has made some really special friends and this is a joy to see. The property is spacious and bright and sits within manicured lawns with terraces and woodlands to relax and enjoy.

From the receptionists to the manager, care staff and nurses and the activities supporter I cannot fault Magna Care Home. Placing any relative into care is an enormous decision . Magna Care Centre is a lovely spacious home with decent bedroom, with lots of activities. Mum entered Magna in Nov 2025 for a short time due to illness, but the staff were very caring and nothing was too much trouble for mum anytime of day or night ie food, drink or just help and chat. Due to last few days and hours the staff were very helpful too all of the family who wanted to spend time with mum. We can't thank them enough.

Magna has a very welcoming atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and caring and they work hard to ensure that residents are well cared for. Whenever we visit to see dad there's always a cheery greeting and a friendly wave from the staff, and he is evidently well looked after. The food is great too!

I have found Magna Care Centre to be outstanding. My sister was beautifully looked after and the family really well supported. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I said to a friend of mine, 5 stars are not enough, more like 10 needed! Thank you Magna - you helped me through such a difficult time, will never forget your kindness.

On my first visit, I was immediately struck by the atmosphere, homely, welcoming, light and fresh, and this only grew when I met the staff, each one, nursing, cleaning, kitchen, caring and office staff, ALL without exception, kind, helpful, thoughtful, fun - plus - professional! This is a special place.

The staff are wonderful. The care is professional and caring - the nurses are attentive and informative. The support staff are friendly and cheerful. The facilities are excellent. The lounge is comfortable and welcoming. The activities are engaging, and the residents are clearly enjoying them. The garden and grounds are beautiful, and the rooms have a great outlook. I have felt very confident that my mother-in-law is being well looked after.

My very dear friend of many years was admitted to Magna Care Centre yesterday. She is here for end-of-life care, suffering from terminal lung cancer. On first impression of the home, I am happy that it's very welcoming, with kind, compassionate staff in attendance. My friend has a lovely, comfortable room with a garden view. I feel already that she will be looked after.
