Magna Care Centre is an attractive Mediterranean style building located within a beautiful conservation area. It offers the highest levels of specialist nursing, dementia and residential care including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

The home provides light and spacious accommodation throughout with wonderful landscaped gardens specially designed to be attractive in all seasons. The gardens feature a number of attractive water features, palms, exotic plants and terraces which have commanding views across five acres of grounds.

The team at Magna Care Centre take pride in supporting independence and variety. Staff are all dementia trained and understand the importance of meaningful activities. Through a dedicated activities plan generated by two onsite activities coordinators, residents' hobbies and interests are encouraged and supported at the home where possible.

Dining is an important part of the day to day life at Magna Care Centre. The chefs, along with the hospitality team, work hard to offer varied menus whilst promoting a balanced diet. Specialist training also equips the team with the skills to offer all residents a positive experience, including those living with dementia or dysphagia. Outside regular meal times, residents can enjoy freshly ground coffee and snacks and the popular snack bar.

The welcome we received when we first arrived was amazing and very reassuring as we were a little anxious not knowing what to expect. No problems with the complex tablets my husband takes. He was made comfortable and at ease as he was rather anxious moving in permanently. The staff have all been marvellous
and if anything crops up unexpectedly, they immediately solve the problem.

I cannot praise Magna Care Centre enough. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law shared a room until they passed away, one on the 17th of July, and the other 19 days later. The care and compassion shown by all the staff are exemplary. They treated our loved ones with great respect and looked after their
every need during their time there. I can highly recommend this wonderful home as well as the team who make it so!

The standard in this care home is amazing, so kind and caring above any care home we have been to in the last 2 years. The rooms are decorated in such a beautiful way and spotlessly clean. The food is served to a high standard. The staff from reception and nursing are so helpful and nothing is a problem.

My mother came to Magna Care Centre aged 98 from hospital. She was only there 12 days being closer to the end of her life than we realised!
The premises are bright and cheery with open gardens all around. Most of all the staff, matching the premises, were very kind and attentive to Mum.
We couldn't
have wished for better care and the frequent family visitors always warmly welcomed.
We happily recommend.

My sister came to Magna Care Centre for respite and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received whilst there. What was so lovely was the focus on her rather than admin from the moment we came through the door.
The team immediately involved her in an activity that was in full swing whilst
we went through the essential needs and care needs.
They also ensured her inclusion in the activities but respected her when she wanted to rest. The team also showed caring for our family as we visited, always greeting us with a smile and a word of comfort or a piece of information.
I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team and of our experience.

Went for a viewing at Magna to find daycare for Mum. I walked through the door and everything felt just right. The happy atmosphere, wonderful feeling of home, caring and smiling staff and a lot of very happy residents. Was immediately offered coffee and biscuits and made to feel instantly at home.
It was such a lovely place. I made up my mind immediately that I no longer had any fears about putting Mum there. The staff treated Mum like their own. Nothing was too much trouble. I have looked at numerous homes in the area and this is the one. If you are at this difficult decision about putting a loved one in a home then please go view Magna! It will take the worry out of one of the most difficult decisions you will probably ever have to make.

We were very happy to leave my dad here for a week after his previous stay last year. The recent refurbishments have improved it even further. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and caring and were happy to chat with my very sociable dad. He truly felt at home and we are very grateful for that.
He's looking forward to his next stay.

My mother was only in the care home three weeks but was well looked after.
Staff were always on hand and responsive to requests.
The home was in a verdant rural location, built in Spanish style. It was a very pleasant location but unfortunately my mother was too ill to appreciate it.
However, I would
not hesitate to recommend the home.

When Grandma was moved to Magna Care Centre I was nervous to visit but instantly relieved and reassured when I did. Seeing her in a comfortable room with a garden view full of squirrels and a full rota of activities to join made me sure she was in a great place for her final weeks. I looked forward

My mum reluctantly moved into Magna following a fall which left her unable to manage alone. We were quickly able to make her room feel like home and the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. In just a few weeks she was beginning to settle and enjoy her new surroundings but regrettably,
she declined and quite suddenly passed away. The home were excellent in her care and communication with me in her last few days.

We came for Christmas lunch and had a very warm welcome by the staff. The meal was lovely and the tables were beautifully decorated and made to feel very homely for our family to spend the time together with my dad. The whole family attended the Christmas meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the home. A super three-course traditional meal was served, eaten and enjoyed by all of us. Dad was asleep for most of the time but he did eat some of his meal and Christmas pudding.
We also managed to get him to look at
the camera while a family photo was taken. Very happy with the dedicated care given to him at all times.

Unable to comment on the value for money as not involved in the financial side. A quiet, tranquil nursing home in beautiful grounds where the friendly helpful staff looked after my sister with dignity and explained to me and my family the different stages she was going through which was so helpful.
I have been back since my sister passed away to see the staff who were so kind and cared for her. The work to update the lounge and reception area is now modern and bright, really lovely.

We are very happy with the care taken of our relative. She has been at Magna for almost two years. The staff are very caring and genuine. They welcome us each time we come to visit and actively engage with all of the residents. The makeover, whilst disruptive, has given a fresh lease of life to the

With over 16 years at Magna, I lead a dedicated and compassionate team committed to delivering exceptional residential and nursing care. My background in intensive, elderly, and stroke care shapes the person?centred, dignified approach I bring to every aspect of our home.


Having progressed from Registered Nurse to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager, I have a deep understanding of our residents, their families, and the local community.
