The home provides light and spacious accommodation throughout with wonderful landscaped gardens specially designed to be attractive in all seasons. The gardens feature a number of attractive water features, palms, exotic plants and terraces which have commanding views across five acres of grounds.
The team at Magna Care Centre take pride in supporting independence and variety. Staff are all dementia trained and understand the importance of meaningful activities. Through a dedicated activities plan generated by two onsite activities coordinators, residents' hobbies and interests are encouraged and supported at the home where possible.
Dining is an important part of the day to day life at Magna Care Centre. The chefs, along with the hospitality team, work hard to offer varied menus whilst promoting a balanced diet. Specialist training also equips the team with the skills to offer all residents a positive experience, including those living with dementia or dysphagia. Outside regular meal times, residents can enjoy freshly ground coffee and snacks and the popular snack bar.

Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Beautiful room over looking rear garden. Staff very friendly and co-operative. They made mum's stay a happy way. However, food was not up to standard and it was felt they could have done more to bring it up to standard and appetising. since this we understand they didn't have enough staff or cook.

His wife passed away after 6 months, but with the good food, attention and activities, the remaining 18 months of his life were happy and contented. His final comments were 'I don't want to go to hospital, I'll die here'. He passed away at 96 years fully cared for.

My mother was taken to Magna Care Centre in a private ambulance all the way from Kent. They settled her in at 7pm in the evening after 3 very stressful weeks in hospital. All the staff worked together as a team and supported each other as well as the residents and their visitors. My mum was made very comfortable. She was very very ill and the carers and staff helped her to be comfortable and relaxed as far as possible and prepared me for her death which came after 7 short days. Without their understanding and information she would not have seen her grandchildren in those last days and that was worth a huge amount to our family. The home has a real buzz to it and I would recommend it to anyone.

Magna Care Home has changed her prospective, and she would be happy to return. In fact, she came out on a high! From the moment she arrived until the moment she left, she had been cared for, encouraged to mix and join in activities. My sister and I were relieved when we went away knowing mum would receive regular meals, her medication, and she would be living in clean, lovely surroundings. I can't praise the home and staff enough.
