Magna Care Centre is an attractive Mediterranean style building located within a beautiful conservation area. It offers the highest levels of specialist nursing, dementia and residential care including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

The home provides light and spacious accommodation throughout with wonderful landscaped gardens specially designed to be attractive in all seasons. The gardens feature a number of attractive water features, palms, exotic plants and terraces which have commanding views across five acres of grounds.

The team at Magna Care Centre take pride in supporting independence and variety. Staff are all dementia trained and understand the importance of meaningful activities. Through a dedicated activities plan generated by two onsite activities coordinators, residents' hobbies and interests are encouraged and supported at the home where possible.

Dining is an important part of the day to day life at Magna Care Centre. The chefs, along with the hospitality team, work hard to offer varied menus whilst promoting a balanced diet. Specialist training also equips the team with the skills to offer all residents a positive experience, including those living with dementia or dysphagia. Outside regular meal times, residents can enjoy freshly ground coffee and snacks and the popular snack bar.

As a keen volunteer I was keen to manage a stall at the summer Fair this August. I joined a resident, to sell raffle tickets for a humongous box of Alcohol that had been gifted by the volunteer hairdresser.
We sold £200 of tickets .
The staff kept an eye on us both and encouraged participants to enjoy
each stall.
It was a super successful day.

After a major operation, I spent some weeks at Magna convalescing until I was well enough to return home. The medical and personal care I needed was excellent, ensuring my recovery progressed well, and my dietary needs were well met, with a very varied menu. All the staff go above and beyond to look
after all residents and I have no hesitation recommending Magna Care Centre.

First time I have been away for respite, the home was really lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was really happy there for the 2 weeks. Felt very safe there. Happy with food, I had no complaints. Happy with my room and outlook.

The care home is really good, comfortable, really nice bunch of people who always on hand to help my mum. My mum has been here nearly a year and the carers and nurses love her. Lovely day room where you can visit the residents, lots of activities each day. I would recommend Magna Care Home, very modern
and lovely grounds.

My nan is happy and well cared for.The environment is nice and welcoming. The staff is friendly and kind. Bonus points for being dog friendly. They have lots of activities which are volunteers which creates a good sense of community.

Magna Care looked after my Mum beautifully during her last few days. They also looked after the family too, bringing us food and talking with us whenever we needed it. The home is very peaceful and calming and we wish we could have gotten her there sooner so she could enjoy it more. I would certainly

My sister was admitted for palliative care so was only a resident for a few weeks. However the staff got to know her and had meaningful relationships with her. The care she received was very good, personal and delivered with care and understanding. We became a team, working together to ensure all her
needs were met and that her final days were peaceful and full of love, not just from her family but the staff as well. Thank you.

Dad was transferred from Bournemouth Hospital to Magna Care Centre for end of life care. He was very well looked after and received excellent care for the final weeks of his life. The facilities were excellent and I was very pleased and impressed by the dedication, professionalism and compassion shown

Magna Care Centre welcomed my Father as a Resident in a very caring and compassionate way so much so like a home away from home.
The Team were extremely giving of themselves to ensure Dad's Care and Comfort needs were addressed from admission.
In addition to ensuring immediate family of Dad my Brother
and I were made most welcome and kept informed at all times.
I cannot speak highly enough of all the Team at Magna Care put simply they are all outstanding in ensuring Residents are looked after.
A family member asked me what is Magna care centre like I replied it's like a Resort with Nurses and Carers that go above and beyond .

I have over the years visited and worked in many care homes and i have to say this one is probably the overall best. I love the location, i love the friendly atmosphere in the home, the staff all seem very welcoming.
The menu looks amazing and i'm told the food is very good. I got to sample Simnel
cake that was on offer for guests to help themselves to on Easter Monday, it was wonderful and such a nice touch as are the drinks that are always available for visitors to help themselves to.
When my time comes i hope i would be able to come and live in this home but hopefully a few years off yet !
My friend who is on respite seems as happy as he could be, i've seen him in other homes and all he talked about was going home, he's not done that here

I consider our family to be very fortunate that our 90-year old Mum was referred to the beautiful Magna Care Centre after becoming non-weight bearing following a fall.
Although her limited hearing and lack of sight means she can't participate fully in the wonderful activities, she enjoys the company
and loves the interaction with the friendly, kind and caring staff. The food is delicious and nursing care first rate. Any issues are dealt with promptly by the staff and a local GP visits regularly to support the resident's medical care.
My father enjoys visiting Mum each day. All the staff are friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy working at the home. Everyone knows my Dad's name and makes him and our family very welcome. The lounge is bright and well appointed with beautiful gardens and an excellent coffee machine which is free to use. This helps create a homely environment which makes visiting Mum such a pleasure.

I am only too pleased to have the opportunity to write this review. After 6 weeks in Forest Holme, our beloved 52 year old daughter moved to Magna on 2nd January for end of life care. My wife, other daughter and I made an unannounced visit prior to the move. We were made to feel very welcome and were
impressed with the general atmosphere, it's cleanliness and attitude of the staff we spoke to.
Throughout our daughter's 6 short weeks at Magna, the manager was always approachable and handled any issues or queries quickly and effectively. The nurses worked incredibly hard and were so kind and caring to our daughter and the wider family. The award winning chef was also outstanding in her ability to create meals that our daughter could eat and enjoy. Nothing was too much trouble. Although our daughter wasn't well enough to participate in many of the activities there was always a variety of things going on.
Thank you to everyone for the care and support given to our daughter and us.

Magna is a special place. My darling mum passed away on 12th April 2025. Mum had been a resident for 5 years so we have a wonderful understanding of what Magna is like. It's home from home environment made mum feel happy and secure. She was cared for with respect and love. Nothing is too much for the
staff, they are genuine and superb at what they do. She would always say to me "don't make me leave here, I love it" She was entertained daily, ate very well and enjoyed trips. As a family we could not have asked for a better place for her last 5 years. We will be forever grateful Magna. Thank you x

I didn't get down to see mum in law as often as I would have liked-it was complicated, but when I did get down always found her happy, clean and laughing/chatting with the staff. She always looked healthy and well cared for. She sometimes had an issue with the food, BUT she always did have, even when
she cooked it. A lovely home., very clean and tidy, never an aroma which sometimes you do get (which i understand) the staff are amazing and very good with the residents. Activities were fantastic. Not a bad word to say, thank you.

After a traumatic period Dad moved from a care home in Essex to be closer to my family in June 2023. He was anxious and upset on arrival due to issues in his personal life.
On arrival he was greeted by a team of kind, caring people who made him feel welcome.
His room was very clean & homely with comfortable
furnishings, dad was always well presented too. He also enjoyed being able to sit in a beautiful courtyard outside his room when the weather was nice. Dad loved being outside on sunny, warm days.
A very important factor for my dad was, a cup of tea, just how he liked it and a variety of good, well cooked food. He made every effort to get to the dining room on time and would regularly tell us it was time to go.
We as a family are comforted to know that the final year and a half of dad's life were happy and that is with special thanks to the manager and her team, every one of them. We would whole heartedly recommend The Magna Care Centre to anyone looking for care for their loved one.

Amazing care staff and management
My nan has been settled and feels completely at home and comfortable in actual fact happiest I've seen her.
To add she was 101 on the weekend and they made such an amazing effort we are so very grateful.
Nothing is too much and I highly recommend Magna care home.
The
manager is an asset to Aria care and this home deserves 10/10
I also worked in the care industry and still work as a medical lead so you can imagine I would naturally look for any faults but there are none and this is reassuring for the whole family.

“I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for our residents with varying needs. During my early career, I gained a breadth of medical knowledge, including intensive, elderly and stroke care. With over 9 years working at Magna Care Centre as a Registered Nurse and then as Deputy Manager I bring experience and knowledge of the residents, families and local community to my role.


I am passionate about ensuring residents have dignified and respectful care and enriching their lives with social interaction. If I can make a difference to just one person a day it makes my job worthwhile.


Magna is a relaxed home-from-home. The calm and welcoming atmosphere is down to the fantastic caring team that supports me. Nothing is ever too much and they are always ready to go the extra mile when needed, an absolute credit to me, our home and our company.”
