From the first step into the home, you get a warm welcome from either the manager or reception or even both. All the staff are very talkative and very friendly. The home is kept nice and clean. I can be in there for a couple of hours and always see cleaners around. They have some lovely gardens with
an avery, a summer house and a pond. Before Covid, they went out on day trips to the pub for a meal. All in all, it is a very lovely and caring home.

My sister has only been in Henlow Court since October but I would like to thank the management and staff for their kindness, care and proficiency. Not only to my sister but to all the residents. My priority for my sister is knowing she is being well cared for and happy and in my opinion, she could not
be in a better place and I would not hesitate to recommend Henlow Court to anyone.

Mum has recently transferred from another care home, but she has settled in well. The staff could not have been more supportive and welcoming to see her through the transition from the care home.
She is encouraged to participate in day room activities. We are so pleased with the care and support given
to my mother. Thank you.

My sister has moved to Henlow recently. I have to say; what an incredible place. In my view, the overall standard here is absolutely amazing. The manager and all the staff here are very committed to providing what can only be described as a very comfortable, homely, friendly, caring, safe, place for
the residents to live. The attention to detail here is second to none. The lengths these people go to for all the residents just shows through the whole of the staff that this is not just another job - THEY CARE, are a perfect team, and go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy. With this situation, it is indeed a very difficult time and your ultimate aim is to find the place that you are confident will provide them with their every need. Well, I am 100% satisfied with Henlow Court. Indeed, if in the future I need help all I can hope is Henlow has a space. This is without doubt an amazing place.
Well done staff you are all stars. Thank you Henlow and all staff.

Mum arrived at Henlow aged 93 having been independent until then. She was a bit scared and thought she would have to "join in" and eat communally. The staff at Henlow listened to what we said, made her feel at home and she has greatly improved whilst under their care. She came in a wheelchair and now
she is taking off by herself with a walking frame!

Before moving to Henlow Court, I lived in a single storey barn conversion. I have lung disease M.S. and malignant cancer with very little mobility and unable to do anything for myself. It was as if I had outlived my usefulness. Since coming to Henlow Court its as if I have a new lease of life. All the
staff are so helpful and caring. I now have an electric wheelchair, once they have put me on it I can get around the home and socialise with other residents and join in the many activities they organise. They take residents out locally to places of interest. Also, many groups come in. There is a restful secret garden with fish and an Avery and a veg patch for residents. I can now play Scrabble, dominoes and Mah Jong and the card game frustration. To sum up, you could not wish for better care.

Although this home isn't terribly smart and sparkling clean all the time, the people who work here are amazingly wonderful - much more important than how smart it looks. Everyone is so kind, respectful, genuine and caring. My family are very grateful to them all.

My husband was at Henlow Court for palliative care owing to a very aggressive brain tumour. I cannot stress how well he was looked after by all the staff, they were marvellous and treated him with extreme care and dignity, they could not do enough for him.
It was most definitely the best care home
in the area. Many of his visitors were impressed and stated if it came to it, this is where they would want to be. My husband passed away mid-August.

I have been visiting and volunteering for many years and always find the atmosphere warm and welcoming.
Attention to detail and diligent housekeeping where the large sitting rooms are tastefully decorated to reflect choices of an older generation.
Plenty of activities, outings and entertainment on
offer include visitors and volunteers.
Occasional upsets are swiftly dealt with.
If I ever need care I hope there will be a space for me!

I cannot praise Henlow Court enough. The care my mother received was exceptional. The staff were very caring and helpful at all times, and all tasks were completed with the dignity of my mother respected. It was always clean and fresh and the food was freshly cooked and of good quality. Nothing was
too much trouble for the kitchen staff. If my father needed a care home placement I would like him to be in this home.

My mother-in-law has been in Henlow since early December after a fall at home.
She has been very happy at Henlow, filling her time with the many activities that are available and also the many things that are on offer.
We can see that she is being very well cared for in a very loving way.
Staff are
always happy and we have found them all very friendly. There is always lots of fun in everything that goes on. It puts our minds at ease to know that all her needs are being looked after.

My 96-year-old mother moved into Henlow Court just before Christmas 2016 and because of the wonderful care and attention shown by all the staff, settled in very quickly. She has joined in all the activities and outings and has nothing but praise for everyone there and she loves the food.
We are happy
to visit my mother as often as possible and she has other friends that visit her frequently.
We literally cannot fault Henlow Court in any way. The facilities, activities and level of care are second to none.
If mum's room was a little larger, it would be perfect.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.663)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.663) out of 10 for Henlow Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.838 for Henlow Court is calculated as follows: ( (129 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 154 Ratings = 4.838
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.825 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Henlow Court is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 13 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
