My experience of this home was good, on arrival I was met by friendly staff.
The experience was about me and not them, it did not matter that I was here for respite and not permanent residency.
I will be happy to recommend Henlow Court to others.

My dad has recently gone into Henlow Court Dursley. He looks so well since being in there, always clean and happy. The care staff, every one of them we have met has been friendly, caring, helpful and pleasant and go beyond. They are amazing. The food is fantastic there and the place is always clean.
It has been a very stressful time having to get Dad into care but Henlow and its staff have made it so welcoming and wonderful. We feel settled as Dad is happy. Thank you all the staff.

I have been visiting my elderly friend for over a year and noticed that their meals are home cooked and look tasty. The guests have a variety of activities and enjoy going out in the minibus to local garden retail outlets. They also have local entertainers visiting and those in wheelchairs get a walk
into the garden. The carers are very friendly and mostly local so can relate to the guests memories to events they know, historical and up to date. The only concern I have noticed with my friend at Henlow Court is that she has a kermode table with wheels and a travellator for travelling to the loo but there is no space for visitors to sit apart from the bed.

The decision for my wife to go into full-time care was not an easy one, however, in August 2016 it was agreed she should go into Henlow Court. Since being there she has received excellent care. The staff are well trained and competent and always empathetic to her needs. The manager is always ready to
discuss concerns that the family might have and take action should this be necessary.
The food is good and many activities take place. I live locally and visit often, so I get a realistic view of what happens throughout the days. Overall excellent.

The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make visiting a pleasure. The care my mother has received and the manner in which the staff assist her has been exemplary, ensuring she remains dignified. Questions are answered fully and without me feeling rushed, and offers of support are always given.
I
know that mum is safe and well looked after. I would definitely recommend Henlow Court.

My late mother was a resident at Henlow Court Dursley and we as a family cannot praise the level of care enough. Lovely warm and comfortable rooms, great food, very clean and tidy and very kind staff who cannot do enough to help. Sadly Mothers stay was all to brief but we thoroughly recommend Henlow
to anyone who has to find care for elderly relatives.

I would just like to take this opportunity to echo my sisters sentiments regarding the care mum received whilst in Henlow Court during the last few months of her life. I regularly traveled up to see her from Southampton and was always met with a welcome cup of tea and smile. Mum spoke fondly of the
staff who cared for her and was enthusiastic about the events taking place regularly at the home. It makes things easier to bare knowing that during her last few months she was cared and looked after so well. And I left happy each time in the knowledge mum was ok. Thank you all so much it meant a lot.

Cannot express enough in words the amount of care and dedication my mother received while her stay at Henlow Court Dursley.
She loved all the staff that cared for her. She loved her last few months of her life in Henlow. My mother was always happy when we visited her and chatted about things that she
had done. Myself and my two sisters would just like to say Thank you even though that will never be enough for how well you looked after mum. Will miss our visit to Henlow and chatting with the staff.

I think Henlow Court is an excellent home, all the staff are friendly and helpful. Their job must be very difficult sometimes but they always seem to be doing very well as far as I can see. Very professional, very caring. They work really hard to do their best for the residents. It's a lovely place,
clean and tidy with lots of things going on for the residents and the food is very nice too.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.663)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.663) out of 10 for Henlow Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.838 for Henlow Court is calculated as follows: ( (129 Excellents x 5) + (25 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 154 Ratings = 4.838
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.825 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Henlow Court is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 13 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
