My first stay at Hunters was in 2004 related to respite care after a hip replacement op. It proved to be an excellent experience and therefore after a heart attack in June '26 I had no hesitation to return for an extended period of respite care. I can only highly recommend this care home to others.

My husband died here two years ago - I would not have planned this but I have memories that he was happy here.
The care & comfort has been exceptional & I have benefitted from the staff's knowledge and expertise and kindness shown in every form. For example, I longed for fresh fruit & it was found. The outdoors always beckons me & so a bench was placed under a tree & this was accessible & within my mobility.
To have access to a hairdresser & receive foot care has been a bonus, so too the social amenities offered.

All this has benefitted to my speedy recovery.

On 8 April, my brother and I wanted to organise a birthday lunch for my father who is a resident. As it was a lovely sunny day we wanted to have the lunch outside, we also wanted to bring our own food. The head chef was really helpful in allowing us to do this, including keeping the food warm before we ate, rearranging the table location and being around to check all was ok. The waitering staff were similarly helpful and professional, through out, as was the person on reception. There is a general sense of nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to Ciprian, the Head chef and the whole team!

I was looked after really well and all the staff were caring without being intrusive: nothing was too much trouble for them, e.g. they checked you for things such as, meal times, social activities, your general demeanour etc.

I fell down whilst walking in the grounds and returned with some nasty grazes to my arms and nose. U was spotted on my return, and nurses met me in the office and cleaned me up, much to their pleasure!

All staff go out of their way to be helpful, accommodating as well as flexible. They make a point of thinking about the individual's needs and do their best to accommodate them. Nothing seems like too much trouble and the friendship demonstrated by the staff looking after my father is so important to him and makes his life more rewarding and enjoyable. Definitely home from home!

All staff were equally helpful, pleasant, and very patience. Felt safe during times of not feeling well. Including checking in overnight when needed.
Nothing was too much trouble from, kitchen, domestic, admin and nurses.

This I'm sure is being led by management who makes all new residents are welcomed and introduced.

Overall we were very happy for Mum to be here as it had a homely feeling and the staff were jolly and caring. We were welcome to visit at any time and if we had an issue, the staff were mainly quick to respond. The light airy rooms and common areas made Memory Lane feel open and bright and it was great to be able to walk in the grounds for some fresh air.

I was only resident at Hunters for 2 weeks' respite whilst family were away on holiday. I was made very welcome by staff and residents. The food was good although a big meal again at 5:30 pm was too close to lunch, all the sandwiches were available. I enjoyed walking around the grounds (needing a bit of TLC). All the staff- day and night - attentive and helpful.

My mother was very anxious initially about going in for respite care, this is the third time she has stayed and she is very settled and has made some lovely friends with other residents and staff. Everyone is so friendly, all the staff remembered her name when she arrived and they all made every effort to ensure she was well looked after, safe and comfortable. She will be back whenever we go away.

When I first came after hospital care, with pneumonia and a damaged tendon and ligament I developed a heavy cold and being weak this went onto my chest. This had taken me into a very bad condition and with the help and encouragement from your staff, my family, and your physio, pulled me through from a zimmer frame and being very very weak to smiling and joking and walking with a stick. Building my strength and confidence back and having the ability to go back to my own home. Many thanks to all who helped me from a bad place to where I am today, big big big thanks. Will miss them all.

My father had a very challenging Christmas and New Year having been hospitalised with pneumonia. At very short notice the Hunters team were able to step in to support. The care they gave during his 4 weeks of recovery was excellent. They were friendly, supportive and knowledgeable and I really don't know how we would have coped without them. A huge thank you from my Dad and our family.

Both my parents moved into Hunters Cirencester, my father first in December 2021, shortly followed by my mother in January 2022.
Dad unfortunately had advanced dementia and the care he received in the Memory Lane community was absolutely outstanding.
My mum had a lovely room on the second floor within the main community. Both have sadly now passed. The care they received was of the very highest order. The manager leads an absolutely first-rate care team of wonderful people, I can honestly say my parents couldn't have had better care anywhere else. It was always a comfort knowing they were looked after round the clock, 24/7. Both my parents were very happy and comfortable at Hunters.

I can't recommend Hunters Cirencester highly enough, an excellent care home of the very highest order with wonderful staff.
