My aunt has been very well cared for at Moreton Hill Care Home. The staff are friendly, patient, and always willing to help, and it is reassuring to know she is in a safe and supportive environment.
The home is clean and welcoming, and there is a good atmosphere among both staff and residents. Communication with families has also been very good, which we really appreciate.

We are grateful for the care and attention she receives and would happily recommend Moreton Hill to others looking for residential care.

My brother has been a resident here for almost two years, he suffers from dementia among problems. He loves being a resident here, and interacts well with staff and other residents, as Moreton Hill is only seven miles from my home I am able to visit him almost every week day, I have no issues with the excellent care he receives.

My husband spent his last 3 years at Moreton Hill, suffering from Alzheimers dementia. At all times his care was excellent, with no effort being spared to ensure his comfort and well being. I was also treated with great kindness and respect, especially at the end when he was in end of life care. The results of the recent refurbishment of Moreton Hill are lovely.

Overall Experience
Moreton Hill is a beautiful old building which has been lovingly restored and the views are awesome. Mum now needs 24-hour care and we couldn't wish for a better place for her to be. Every member of staff smiles and acknowledges us and the kindness they all show to mum is wonderful. She is confused but the carers spend time explaining what they are doing and are so gentle with her. Her meals are superb and plentiful. Mum has not socialised for a while and is being encouraged to join in activities which are varied by more kind members of the team. The maintenance team are always ready with a smile as are the domestic staff.
Management is superb; we have had everything explained to us in great detail and the team keeps in touch with us by phone or when we visit.

I cannot praise this Care Home highly enough.

Moreton Hill is an absolutely wonderful care home and the best choice for our mum's dementia care. Right from the deputy manager, the nurses/carers, caterers, domestic, office staff and hairdresser I cannot think of a better team. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The food is brilliant and there are plenty of activities throughout the day for my mum to take part in. I especially love the reception area because I know I can enjoy refreshments and of course the fabulous cakes on offer. Well done to all the staff.

We couldn't have been happier. Spotlessly clean, good range of food, brilliantly efficient with Dad's routine, lovely building. Most important thing was the culture of the team in the home. Every single person was attentive, took time, smiley, caring, thoughtful, interested in what they need to achieve, hard-working and pleasant. Far exceeded our expectations.

I cannot express how caring and compassionate we found the staff to be at Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre who looked after our stepfather in his last few weeks. Special thanks to a member of staff, in particular, the care practitioner and senior nurse who showed exceptional care and kindness - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable. We appreciated the support and kindness they gave to us also at a very difficult time. Thank you from all the family.

Mum was a resident at Barchester Moreton Hill Care Centre in the last two months of her life. The nursing care she received was of a high quality. She was treated with kindness and compassion and her dignity was respected. The nurse in charge of her care communicated with me very well. Mum had many visitors during her time in Moreton Hill and they were all made to feel welcome. Her visitors had opportunities to exchange information with care staff to inform Mum's care. The manager of the home built a positive relationship with me and all business matters were dealt with efficiently, including a prompt refund of the deposit after Mum had passed away.

First and foremost, my mother was happy at Moreton Hill. She enjoyed a social life within the home, and to her, it was home from very early on. She was given care and consideration as a resident during her three years with you. For us, knowing she was cared for so well, very safe and happy and that her dementia care needs were fully understood, made an enormous difference to our lives. We were always kept well informed of my mother's condition and were aware of appointments, outings and activities that she was involved in. We would definitely recommend Moreton Hill to others when seeking to place a loved one in a care home.
