No relatives living in this area and I would like to give an honest opinion to friends if asked - most close friends also not in the area!
I have found the carers very helpful at all times and the nursing staff very willing to keep me informed as to the condition of my husband.
All staff have treated
him with respect and care in my presence.
Maybe songs/music could have more on from WW2!

My parents moved into Beauchamp Gardens, in the grounds of the care home, 7 years ago. (Parking space, proper kitchen, lounge, dining room, 2 bedrooms. Meals provided/washing done by staff or they could do these themselves. Dad also had a vegetable patch). After a wonderful 4 years of supported living,
they moved into the main house 3 years ago. The care given in my father's last illness was exemplary. The staff were so attentive to his and our needs and could not have been kinder.
Mum is still living there in a lovely room that looks out onto the grounds. The staff chat to her and she has become genuinely fond of them. She is able to phone me up any time she likes. Beauchamp House is not just her home. It feels like home for all the family. The only improvement would be more outings - ideally with a new minibus. Activities within the home have improved recently. There was even a falconry display. I am happy when Mum is happy and well cared for. Any problems are quickly sorted.

I had the pleasure of visiting my mother last week and noted how well she is now being cared for. She has been at Beauchamp House for nearly a year and following initial hiccups and concerns, I am pleased to say that she appears well cared for and safe. The carers I met on my visit were very attentive.
They talked to mum and checked she was comfortable. She has a lovely room which is worth the extra cost. She overlooks lovely well-maintained gardens which I know she appreciates.

Mum moved here 18 months ago & has been cared for with tenderness, respect & dignity until her death at the end of February. The staff genuinely care about meeting their residents' needs. Mum loved the gardens, the food & the activities in Beauchamp House - she was made to feel cherished as an individual
by the staff. When we visited, it was lovely to relax with a cup of coffee with Mum in the Library overlooking the gardens - it felt like being in an exclusive hotel rather than a care home - & they use linen tablecloths (rather than wipe-clean plastic ones!), linen napkins, proper glasses etc at residents' meal times. We have joined Mum for meals here on several occasions & it was delicious & well-presented. When Mum died, the carer who contacted us was wonderful - we really appreciated the way everything was handled and also when we went back to Beauchamp House to deal with Mum's belongings, nothing was too much trouble for the staff & the manager. We'd happily live here ourselves!

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.849)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.849) out of 10 for Beauchamp Country House Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.849 for Beauchamp Country House Care is calculated as follows: ( (290 Excellents x 5) + (43 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 337 Ratings = 4.849
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beauchamp Country House Care is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 registered maximum number of service users is 10.8, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
