Mum has been resident following discharge from hospital after a fall. The compassion and patience everyone has given her has been second to none as dementia causes her to be difficult at times. The home is very clean and all staff members are efficient, friendly and keen to help in any way. I have been made very welcome on all occasions when visiting. Well done all.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always lovely to hear how welcome visitors are made to feel and how friendly and compassionate the staff are. We are very happy how well your Mum has settled into her new home. Thank you.
Dad has settled into life @ Gotton Manor very well, my mother who lives on her own enjoys the visits to see dad, her husband. We find all members of staff to be care, kind and considerate and particularly enjoy playing cards with the residents and staff. All in all a very time establishment. My family thanks you for your great efforts. Wish it was cheaper though!

Absolute perfection,,,,,,,really! , there is nothing that I can moan about or criticise, both management and all staff are great, always there if needed, monitoring every situation that is going on, very clean all around, always music playing which residents enjoy very much, well and me, everyone seems to hold an upbeat attitude, no matter what day I call in, a safe and incredibly caring environment, and they make a great coffee!
Thank you for this outstanding review! What a lovely read. It is amazing to see that your friend has settled in so well and you also enjoy your visits. We will look forward to your next visit and will have the music on and the coffee ready as always. Thank you.

Dad was at Gotton Manor for two and a half years. He quickly settled in, and joined in with activities. When we saw him, he was always happy. The staff were always very friendly and happy to help. He had excellent care, right up to the very end. I would recommend This nursing/care home, as both sides were very caring and very welcoming. He always talked highly of the staff.
Thank you for your review. Thank you for your kind words regarding the care and treatment that your Dad received at Gotton Manor. We are very sorry for your loss. He will be missed very much at Gotton It was a pleasure and a privilege to have cared for him. Thank you.
Our Dad unfortunately needed full time care. As daughters we all found the change quite difficult to deal with, as I'm sure many others do! Gotten Manors support with ourselves as well as our Dad was exceptional, we had supportive advice, care and understanding. Our Dad settled in with time, and now embraces the carers and other residents. He's always aloud to make his own choices, they encourage with care and compassion. Thank you to all of worker's at Gotten Manor
Thank you for your review. How wonderful to hear how Dad has settled into Gotton Manor and the staff encourage own choices. It is always reassuring to hear how family members are also supported with these difficult transitions. Thank you.
Gotton Manor has been extremely helpful in providing accommodation to both my mother and aunty. The building is old and creaky but this more than made up for by the courtesy and care of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. After being there a week my Mum's laundry hadn't been collected despite my asking several times.
Thank you for your review. It is wonderful that you have chosen Gotton Manor for your aunty and your mother. It is lovely to hear that the staff and cleanliness of the home make up for characteristic's of the old building. Apologies for the laundry collection, we hope this issue is now resolved. Thank you.
Always welcomed, all staff professional + polite - my father is looked after + I feel his needs are met - cleanliness of the home needs a little work? - Sticky floors in main area + looks a little tired + grubby - no hand gel available for visitors - newly decorated dementia area excellent - clocks displaying wrong time (main lounge) + often staff unable to find remote for TV - otherwise excellent care - my father is happy here - I dont think his needs to be improved - staff amazing - we feel part of Gotton family thank you.
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that there has been issues with cleanliness during your visit. Please allow us the opportunity to rectify these issues. We are continuing with the decoration of the home. It is lovely to see that the care is of high standards and that you are welcomed...
The staff are very helpful, friendly and cheerful. The home itself is very clean and a lovely atmosphere. Very welcoming.
Thank you for your 5 star review. It is lovely to hear that you are always made to feel welcome and you find the environment nice and clean and the atmosphere to be welcoming. Thank you.

The most beautiful care/nursing home aswell as the most beautiful views. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make sure family and loved ones are very well looked after aswell as us as as a family. After pulling my nan out of a dreadful residential care home and visiting Gotton Manor, I new we had made the right decision. The home its self is warm, very clean and feels like home from home. The bedrooms are beautiful and well equiped for all needs and they all have lovely views of the countryside. We visit weekly and my nan is always full of smiles, always looks clean and fresh, hair and nails done beautifuly and always dressed lovely. The food is freshly cooked and served beautifully and tastes great. Weve had meals there for special occasions. I used to be a hca at a nursing home so ive seen some sights but I cant fault Gotton manor and the amazing staff who really work so hard and care so deeply .
Thank you for your 5 star review. This is so heart felt, it is wonderful to hear the great feed back about the home and the staff. It is amazing how well your Nan is doing at Gotton Manor and a pleasure to care for her and see her wonderful smile. Thank you again for your kind words, the team will be very happy with the comments of which I will feed back to them. Thank you.
Mum has a difficult time settling in but the staff particularly Glenrose worked so hard to settle her in. It was a very difficult and sad time made so much better by Glenrose and her lovely staff. They are so kind and patient. Today when I arrived mum was waving and smiling and happy and chatty. It means that I can now leave knowing she is ok. Akarsh and the others are just lovely, Thanks for making mum smile.
Thank you for your review. How lovely to hear that your Mum is settling into Gotton Manor and knowing that you leave her knowing she is happy and well. I am sure the staff will be pleased to hear that they have made a difference and make your Mum smile. Thank you.
To be fair, I am quite able both mentally and physically. I have a considerable autonomy within the home courtesy of the home manager. I do, however, need some care and service. My answers to the items listed, I have balanced with the general observation of the service other residents receive. I believe that the most impressive examples are through requests to the management staff. I have always found a willingness to listen to proposals to implement change when it would seem viable and offer care improvement. I have lived in this home happily for 7 years.
Thank you for your review. It is good to get information first hand from residents of the home. Thank you for informing that your review is based on what you have viewed with other residents due to you completing most of your own care and cleaning. It is great to hear that you feel listened to and valued. Thank you.
Gotton Manor Care Home staff are excellent, very attentive and friendly. There are plenty of organised activities and opportunities to interact with the other residents if you wish. Music and books available in the main lounge and my mothers room is modern, well painted and clean with excellent ensuite facility. Food of a high standard, nutritional and tailored to suit your dietary requirements . Gotton Manor located in a beautiful setting with stunning views over Corfe and surrounding hills.
Thank you for spending the time to complete this wonderful review. It is lovely to hear the kind comments about the great staff and the food. We are very proud of our location and beautiful views, and it is fantastic that our residents get to enjoy this setting every day. Thank you.
The team try to encourage participation in group activities and to mix with other residents
We are kept well informed about her health and care

Thank you for your lovely review. It is nice to hear that your Mum is well cared for and happy. She is a pleasure to care for. We pride on keeping family up to date with what is happening with their loved ones. Thank you.
I am delighted to leave a review for the team at Gotton Manor. Everytime i visit i am greeted with a warm welcome. My Aunt has been there since May and is very happy and settled now. She is well cared for and the staff treat her with respect and dignity.
My husbands cousin has been at Gotton Manor since Sept 2016. Which in itself is testament to the wonderful care given by all in the team. She is always treated with respect and dignity and with a wonderful sense of fun. She has thrived hence being in her 9th year. Thankyou all
Thank you for this wonderful review. 9 years really is a testament to great care, and we have the privilege of caring for your loved ones. The care staff always like to make sure everyone feels welcome when visiting and make sure that the residents feel at home and treated with kindness and respect, so it is lovely to hear that this has been noticed. Thank you.
Overall this care home is managed very efficiently and I cannot fault it at all the staff are extremely supportive and helpful with the families of the resident that's staying there and there's no better place that I would want my parents to be looked after in than this care home.
Thank you for your kind review. How lovely to hear that there is no other place that you would rather your parents be cared for. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to the care staff. Thank you.

Meet the Team (2)

Hello, my name is Janine. I am the Home Manager at Gotton Manor Care Home. I have been the home manager at Gotton Manor since February 2021.
I started my career in care in 1998, working as a care assistant in a local nursing home. Over the years, I have worked in community care, nursing homes, and residential homes, and whilst I worked for a care agency, I did HCA shifts in hospitals and hospices.
I have put my all into working my way up the ranks, and I was working in supervisory and Deputy Managers posts for over 10 years before becoming a manager.
Since working with our fantastic team at Gotton Manor Care Home, I have felt nothing but welcomed and supported both in-house and by the rest of the Harbour Healthcare team.
I am passionate about our residents receiving person-centred care, and I am very proud of our beautiful home and amazing views.
