The home is a very happy place to be. The staff are all very caring and sensitive to my needs. I feel very lucky to be here.
I hope you continue to be very happy there and look forward to meeting you next time I visit.
With best wishes,
Honor
Very good rehabilitation home. The staff and management were excellent. The physio team were superb. Many thanks.
My mother was discharged from the hospital and transferred to Gotton Manor Care Home with very little physical strength in her movement after being in bed for six weeks in the hospital. The staff at Gotton Manor Care Home were so lovely to Mum and attended to her physical needs and helped her get her strength back with excellent help from the physiotherapy team, who got her back on her feet with the help of her frame. The care she got was excellent from the care team to the manager, who couldn't do enough for her and us as a family. Unfortunately, while Mum was in the care home her husband died which put so much pressure on Mum and us, the whole team was so understanding of the situation we were in and accommodated our needs to help Mum. Thank you all very much, we won't forget what you have done for us. 10/10. Thank you.
I'm so sorry to hear that your mum lost her husband. It's great to read how supportive the team is and what great progress your mum has made with the fantastic input from our team.
With best wishes,
Honor
I don't think I'd change anything. Good standards all around. I know my wife is always well cared for.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. It's great to read that you feel your wife is always well cared for.
The home was kept clean and maintained to a very high standard. I also felt that every member of staff was working hard for the benefit of the residents.
I wish them well in the future.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is good to read how well your mother was looked after and hear about the relationship she had with the team members. They are a fantastic team.
The staff are all very good and very obliging and willing to help out with any requests. The food is excellent and I am really pleased to say that all meals are very good and that has been the case throughout the year that I've lived here. The setting of Gotton Manor is wonderful and I have a lovely view across to the Black Downs.
What a lovely review. Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know how you feel.
Mum joined Gotton Manor residents in May '21 having lost her husband of 70 years in August '20, difficult times. Gotton is going through a total refurb and is being managed to a very high standard, very clean, comfortable, nice food and very helpful, attentive, knowledgeable staff, approachable making this route in difficult times seem less daunting. The outside space is much improved also giving the home a nice feel. I feel lucky there was a room available when I needed it.
What a lovely review, thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us.
As a family, we attended our aunt's 100th birthday celebration on the 1st of October 2021. Gotton provided a singer and a cake for our aunt and made us most welcome to enjoy this event with her on the day whilst taking care to check our Covid status and ensuring safe distancing protocols. I cannot praise Gotton Manor Care Home and staff enough for the care and attention they provide for our aunt. Thank you all.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. It sounds like your aunt's birthday was a wonderful celebration.
I have found everything most satisfactory.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review.
The first visit since COVID19 restrictions has allowed bringing two brothers to visit family member. Slight teething trouble, but easily rectified thanks to a very professional greeting staff. Smooth visit, glad the brothers could catch up in person at last. Thank you.
Thank you for your review. I'm so glad we are now able to bring families back together.
My dad has been at Gotton Manor for 4 years this summer. He is well looked after. He is happy although sometimes frustrated as he is no longer mobile. The staff are all so obliging and helpful. Can't fault Gotton Manor.
What a wonderful review, thank you so much. I'm glad your dad is happy.
Excellent communication with staff over the telephone. Previous visits with mum were positive. she always looked cared for. My feedback is about communication over the phone and outside visits with mum.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. Communication is essential and has been particularly important over the past year.
Mum's birthday fell just after the regulations were relaxed and the staff were so helpful in allowing me to visit my mum in a safe way but able to hold her hand. I don't know if she knew who I was but she didn't seem distressed at me being there. It was so good not to be yelling through a closed window!
Many thanks for your review. It's good to know you were able to share this special moment with your mum.
Mum has been at Gotton Manor since January 2021. All staff from cleaner, care staff, nurser and management have always been helpful and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum has extremely good care from all professionals. She is really happy and enjoys company and activities. The last year has been difficult, but never have I doubted the way Mum has been treated and looked after. Very good food choices.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review and for including the whole team. It is every member of the team who contributes to ensuring that residents living at Gotton receive the great care they deserve.
Dad spent 18 very happy months at Gotton Manor. The care was second to none. I found the staff to be amazing, so kindly and treated dad with the utmost dignity. I felt perfectly happy leaving dad after a visit, with staff who dad thought of as friends. He loved the food, applause to the chefs. During the present crisis, the staff still remained professional and caring. As dad declined, I felt the love and compassion given to dad. His passing was made as comfortable as possible.
What a truly lovely review thank you for writing it at what must be a difficult time for you. Your words will make our team members feel very proud.
My mother is delighted with the quality of the food and menu choices and now looks forward to mealtimes. I have been extremely impressed with all of my dealings with the Manager and the Receptionist, nothing is too much trouble.
I cannot thank you all enough - it is a huge relief to know my mother is being so well cared for and is happy again.
Thank you very much for this wonderful review. I'm so glad your mother has settled well following her initial anxiety. The team will be thrilled to hear how they have made such a positive impact.
My father recently passed away in this beautiful home. His care was second to none. All of the staff were amazing and the home manager made everything as pleasant as possible given the restrictions due to to Covid 19. My father was treated with love, kindness and dignity at all times and I could not be more grateful.Thank you all so very much.
I'm sorry that you recently lost your father. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on your father's time at Gotton. COVID has presented many challenges but the team have really pulled together to ensure residents still feel loved.
I am so grateful to the home. Dad loved his home and was cared for with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect. The staff and manager were truly amazing over the last two years, they have always made us feel welcome and become like our extended family. Thank you to everyone, we are so blessed to have known you all.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and am grateful for your review at this difficult time. It is lovely for the team members to read what a difference they have made. I'm glad your dad was so happy at Gotton Manor. Thank you.
It was a pleasure to visit your care home before the pandemic started. I miss seeing my friend. It is heartbreaking sometimes but I am sure your carers are looking after her for us.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I know everyone at Gotton Manor is working hard to ensure all residents continue to feel loved and well cared for.

Meet the Team (2)

Hello, my name is Janine. I am the Home Manager at Gotton Manor Care Home. I have been the home manager at Gotton Manor since February 2021.
I started my career in care in 1998, working as a care assistant in a local nursing home. Over the years, I have worked in community care, nursing homes, and residential homes, and whilst I worked for a care agency, I did HCA shifts in hospitals and hospices.
I have put my all into working my way up the ranks, and I was working in supervisory and Deputy Managers posts for over 10 years before becoming a manager.
Since working with our fantastic team at Gotton Manor Care Home, I have felt nothing but welcomed and supported both in-house and by the rest of the Harbour Healthcare team.
I am passionate about our residents receiving person-centred care, and I am very proud of our beautiful home and amazing views.

Hi! My name is Latoyah. I am the Home Administrator at Gotton Manor care home.
I started working at Gotton Manor in February 2021 as a data input support worker, registering our resident’s and staff’s Covid-19 tests. Since then, I have taken on roles such as being a Kitchen Assistant, Admin Assistant and Activities Assistant, before working my way up to the home Administrator role whilst currently working on my level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship. I have loved every second, getting to know the lovely residents and working along side our amazing team!
