The disruption and noise has been awful since Jan and still going on. Ensuites now very tight on room.
Majority of staff are very caring but too busy to chat. Activities team, are very kind and good at their job. Could do more outside activities in the summer. There just needs to be more organisation and a manager!!

This review is about my wife's 5th respite stay. She has vascular dementia. Apart from an initial issue regarding the booking, only this time, I cannot fault the care and support she received from all staff on each of her visits. She looks forward to her ongoing respite care stays. My personal thanks to all for this ongoing regular respite facility.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and for your continued trust in us. We are so pleased to hear that your wife enjoys her respite stays and feels comfortable and supported by our team.
Your kind words mean a great deal to all of us, and we will be sure to share your thanks with everyone...
My father is always made to feel extremely welcome when he comes to visit his friend. I often drop him off in the morning and pick him up around 6pm, the staff are always kind to him and look out for him. I'm always happy when I know he can get out of the house and is safe for the day.
Wonderful care home with wonderful staff.
Thank you Mark for your very kind words and review of Oaktree Court! We are so glad to hear such positive feedback and will continue to make our residents and guests feel as welcome as always!
In August 2024, we realised that we could no longer care for Mum at home as she needed, and she moved to Oaktree. Here we discovered a loving family carers who immediately took Mum to their heart, warmed by her ever-present smile and lack of fuss. She enjoyed a trip to the donkey sanctuary, sang, danced, and had lots of fun whilst in a safe environment. We were able to visit Mum whenever we wanted.
For Mum's final seven months, she initially spent time in the Somerset Suite, surrounded by others also battling with dementia, but what a place full of characters who won our hearts too.
Mum's final three months were the hardest but again her stoicism and strength showed through even in the darkest of times. We visited every day and soon found ourselves as much cared for as Mum, and were forever grateful for the kindness and care present everywhere there. The nurses, the carers, whose magical touch, I am sure, kept Mum with us for just a bit longer, the cleaners, the chefs, the reception ladies, the entertainment team – they are all angels to us.
From the outset she received impressive professional care and very loving human kindness. It helped her, and it certainly helped family members, that we were always made very welcome indeed. There was a lot of laughter, fun-type activities especially in the dementia suite, in every respect sensitivity to her as an individual, and seemingly endless patience. When help was needed it was provided immediately, when our anxieties and fears arose they were taken seriously and addressed so that we did not feel awkward or uneasy in asking.
Ann's care moved from dementia through to 'end of life'. When it became clear that her life was coming to an end, two staff members kept her company and provided the love and reassurance she needed. For this we cannot be too grateful. Oaktree Court is a very fine place, efficiently managed and in so many ways a delight.
Oaktree provide a care second to none. From our initial visit to when we took mum, everyone who works there was so kind and caring to us as relatives as much as for our mum whose home it become. The home is very well maintained, it is a beautiful setting and it feels like home from home for us too. Cannot fault the dedication of everyone who worked there. The atmosphere is so welcoming and happy. Will forever be grateful for all they did for us as a family.
The activities coordinators arranged Par our Mum to have a longed-for meet and cuddle with a beautiful cat. She misses hers dearly and this thoughtfulness and dedication to making her life enjoyable was wonderful. Thank you so much. You are all amazing.
Oaktrees is definitely the friendliest and most caring home and my mother has been very happy at the home since her placement here.
I have found all the staff approachable and appear happy in their caring roles. The home definitely has a family/homely feel which I particularly recommend it.
I have often visited Oaktree Court for community events, over the last six years. I love its grounds and communal coffee area and having the chance to support them but also chat to some of the residents, who not only love to have different visitors and company telling you their stories but also listening to how they love living there. It is also great to see so many of the same staff who have been there for a number of years, which must be reassuring and supportive for residents. Especially given the industry.
We're so pleased to receive such wonderful feedback, thank you for taking the time to review Oaktree Court. I'll make sure the team receive your review, it's always such a boost for everyone. Thanks again.
Inside activities are imaginative and interesting, group outings brilliant and much appreciated - we have been very pleasantly surprised by how much our relative joins in the activities and with the encouragement given by the carers.
Your feedback is so very welcomed, thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of Oaktree Court. The team will be thrilled to read your review.
A warm smile from receptionist on arrival, helpful support and advice if needed, offer of refreshment when/if needed - and most important, the content, relaxed smiles of residents being visited. Who could ask for anything more?
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased to receive your feedback and will ensure the team members working at Oaktree Court receive your praise.
I have been living here since August 2023. Was very nervous about coming here, but found it to be a lovely place. The staff are all very helpful.
Thank you for leaving a review, Geraldine; your feedback on living at Oaktree Court is so valuable to us. I'm glad that you're settled and happy; we will always do everything possible to ensure that continues.
My mum has been living here for about six months. The staff are very friendly and very good with my mum. As of yet, I can't find fault with anything. She is very happy here.
Thank you for leaving Oaktree Court a review. The whole team work hard to create an atmosphere for all the residents to enjoy, I'm pleased to read that your Mum has been made to feel so welcome. I will ensure the team receive your lovely feedback.
My dad and I had to find him residential care, and all thanks to my dad, he found Oaktree Court.
It’s an absolutely amazing home, and the grounds are beautiful.
The manager was an absolute joy and a pleasure to deal with, and we remain immensely grateful for all the help she gave to us during what was a difficult and stressful time trying to find a home for my uncle.
Having visited my uncle, I could see how happy he is, and he idolises the staff, especially two members of staff, and vice versa of him.
I cannot tell you how much comfort this brings to my dad and me as we live in Essex, so my uncle's well-being is paramount.
Oaktree takes care of him, and we are so grateful to all the staff who work tirelessly every day to take care of not only my uncle but all the residents and who show beyond any doubt their commitment and dedication.
Our sincere thanks to all of them for everything.
Oak Tree has looked after my mother since April 2018 beautifully. She thoroughly enjoyed life at Oak Tree and all the activities on offer until she developed dementia. The staff have been wonderful, especially one particular member of staff. We cannot thank all of the team at Oak Tree enough for their care especially in her final few weeks before she passed away.
The staff at Oaktree Court Care Home are always very helpful and friendly when we visit. If we have a query they are always happy to talk to us about it. During recent anniversary and birthday celebrations, they were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, it really made the days special. Thank you so much.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. It is always a pleasure to welcome you and Dad to the home to visit Mum.
Oaktree Court is a care home that provides excellent care in a lovely setting and I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care my mother is receiving. She has been at Oaktree Court for five months now and right from the start she was made to feel very welcome and well looked after. All the staff, in whatever capacity, are caring, concerned and supportive in such a way as to create a sense of family. They are always cheerful, kind and patient. Over these five months my mother has become her happy self again and has the feeling that there is always someone there in she needs them. Oaktree Court has high standards of hygiene, the level of communication are also always good with e-mail updates and phone calls if necessary. Thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of my mother.
Thank you so much for the absolutely wonderful review. We are thrilled that Mum has had such a positive start to her life at Oaktree Court.
They treated my mother with the utmost care, catering for her likes and dislikes, encouraging her to participate in activities and ensuring all her ailments were addressed correctly. Visiting was always welcomed and visitors treated with friendly respect.
As mother came close to the end, the nurses outlined the expected stages and gave me total confidence in what would happen.
I was overwhelmed, when so many staff came to see her and say goodbye (obviously without saying goodbye). They are all so dedicated and do their jobs with humility and the utmost care.
I couldn't ask for a better care home. I was so pleased my mother was there, with total support, both for her and me.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely and heart felt review.
My mother has been at Oaktree Court Care Home for a year now and right from the start she was made very welcome and well looked after. The staff are always really helpful and cheerful and give mum the care that she deserves. Although I was worried about how she would make the change, she felt immediately at home. When I visited her the next day, she looked like a new woman, relieved of the stress of living on her own and having to look after herself and has continued to prosper in the environment. She enjoys the company of the other residents and the staff and feels safe that there is always someone there if she needs them. Oaktree Court feels and looks more like a good hotel than a care home with beautiful grounds that my mother loves looking over. When looking for a home for her, I promised my mother that I would find her one that I would be happy going in if I ever required it and I feel that Oaktree Court has let me keep my promise.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. I'm so pleased to hear that Mum is so happy and settled at Oaktree. She is an absolute pleasure to care for.
I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care our mother received at Oaktree Court. All the staff, in whatever capacity, were caring, concerned and supportive in a particularly personal way which created a sense of family. There was always something of interest arranged for the residents and, despite Covid restriction, a positive and cheerful atmosphere prevailed. Altogether an outstanding home, with excellent food, beautiful grounds and wonderful staff. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review which I will ensure is passed to the whole team. They are an outstanding group of people and I am so pleased to hear that they provided such a personal and supportive service.
