Oaktree Court Care Home

I couldn't ask for a better care home. I was so pleased my mother was there, with total support, both for her and me.

My mother has been at Oaktree Court Care Home for a year now and right from the start she was made very welcome and well looked after. The staff are always really helpful and cheerful and give mum the care that she deserves. Although I was worried about how she would make the change, she felt immediately at home. When I visited her the next day, she looked like a new woman, relieved of the stress of living on her own and having to look after herself and has continued to prosper in the environment. She enjoys the company of the other residents and the staff and feels safe that there is always someone there if she needs them. Oaktree Court feels and looks more like a good hotel than a care home with beautiful grounds that my mother loves looking over. When looking for a home for her, I promised my mother that I would find her one that I would be happy going in if I ever required it and I feel that Oaktree Court has let me keep my promise.

I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care our mother received at Oaktree Court. All the staff, in whatever capacity, were caring, concerned and supportive in a particularly personal way which created a sense of family. There was always something of interest arranged for the residents and, despite Covid restriction, a positive and cheerful atmosphere prevailed. Altogether an outstanding home, with excellent food, beautiful grounds and wonderful staff. Thank you all.

Oaktree Court is a care home that provides excellent care in a lovely setting. My aunt has been a resident in the dementia suite for almost a year and she has settled in brilliantly. It is a very difficult experience to place a loved one in a dementia care setting where liberty has to be restricted - however many times you tell yourself that you are doing the right thing it is still very upsetting. The experience was made far easier for me by the support from all of the staff at Oaktree and by the fact that I quickly realised that my aunt was in safe and caring hands. I have nothing but praise for all of the staff that I have come into contact with - unfailingly cheerful, kind and patient when looking after my aunt and always happy to give me feedback and updates. Levels of communication are always good with email updates and phone calls if necessary. The fact that Oaktree Court is set in beautiful grounds is just an added bonus!

The hotel facilities are acceptable and it is apparent that the nursing home relies on the 'window dressing' to cover its shortcomings in the standard of care they provide. In my opinion, it is probably fortunate for the home, that older people requiring such care are not always the ones wanting to complain.

The care, attention, stimulation and love that she receives from her carers, is more than I could ever hope for.

Oaktree Court is in a beautiful setting, and the rooms are bright and clean. Lots of activities are provided, COVID permitting, and the whole atmosphere is wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

I cannot praise enough the team who tirelessly work for the better lives of their residents at Oaktree Court. My father has dementia but with the kind and familiar service he experiences every day here, he is present, happy, entertained and engaged. I am very grateful for their ‘home from home’ attention to my dad and I know he could not be in a better place. Thank you.

The home gives every resident the care we as a family would give. Detail is always given to the way they are looked after before entering the home, their likes and dislikes are always remembered. They have a brilliant entertainment programme and make sure residents have a chance to continue their hobbies. A lovely relaxed environment, clean, tidy and staff go above and beyond to care for residents.

As things have eased, the home has carefully increased visiting and contact with residents, which I am sure all relatives are very pleased about, as the last thing we want is another rise in the number of cases.

The whole Team at Oaktree Court are extremely caring and have worked brilliantly throughout Covid doing everything they can for the residents. Under difficult circumstances, they have excelled. Thank you to everyone.

All the staff are very caring and take time with the residents. When the home was open before covid, the residents all seemed very happy and well cared for. Visitors are always greeted by friendly staff, who are always prepared to listen if you have any question or queries.

We are just coming around to the anniversary of the first Covid-19 lockdown. A whole year has passed. It has been a very worrying time for everyone, especially for care homes. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Oaktree Court for their bravery, diligence, and total commitment throughout this potential nightmare scenario. They held firm, they stayed true, totally devoted to protecting the residents whilst having to make difficult choices that, let's face it, even challenged Governments. No one knew how this pandemic was going to play out. Selflessly they worked long hours, in difficult, uncomfortable PPE, they found ways of keeping the residents calm and entertained, whilst internally they must’ve been terrified for their own safety. Literally, their own lives on the line. I cannot thank them enough. The truth is there to see. Total commitment. Total professionalism. Total respect.

I was anxious about Mum going into a home during the pandemic, but she has been so happy since living at Oaktree Court. The manager and deputy were both so helpful and welcoming before and during arrival, and all of the staff are wonderfully kind. She says the food is lovely and plentiful and is enjoying lots of time in the beautiful grounds. Her room has a wonderful view and a nice size.

Both of my parents moved to Oaktree Court in July. I was impressed with the administrative processes, arrival procedure and welcome given - particularly in light of the additional restrictions imposed by COVID-19. Although I have not been able to enter the home all my dealings to date with staff indicate a well-run organisation.

My partner's mum has been here for three years, and she was splendidly looked after.

Very high standard of care. Staff are caring, kind and attentive they have made my mother's stay bearable. She has lots of health issues but has been in less pain and discomfort due to the high standard of nursing care. They listen to her which is important. The lockdown has been very difficult for her but they have coped well!

Mum is really happy with the care and says all the staff are really nice.
