Oaktree Court has been just perfect for the care needed by my grandad. He initially found the thought of being in a care home terrible but is now thoroughly enjoying the care, company and taking part in everything they offer from afternoon activities to trips out in the minibus, which would have been
a struggle for a family member to get him to do! He is certainly happier and he seems more content since moving here.
When I arrive with my busy children we are always greeted with friendly smiles and cheerful hellos from both staff and other residents. The staff always make time to stop and chat to us all. I really enjoy looking at the photo board and the weekly newsletter with a write up of what has been happening and the timetable of the activities for the week ahead. It gives us a talking point and a little reminder for my grandad too.

The care given to my father was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and because of that, he died in comfort and ease. I cannot praise the staff enough for their kindness and help.

We found the management and staff to be extremely dedicated, caring, respectful and kind in their care of my father during the last few days of his life. He wanted to move from hospital back to Oaktree Court and they facilitated it. They also treated my mother and all of the family in a similar way,
nothing was too much trouble. They enabled all of us to spend the last night with him, and the end was very peaceful. Thank you again for your care and compassion.

I cannot speak too highly of Oaktree Court, from the manager, to the caring staff and the people in the kitchen who produced such lovely food. We found all the staff to be extremely dedicated, caring, respectful and helpful, in fact everything you could wish for.


My husband was where he wanted to

be for the last few days of his life, and the caring staff made provision for my family and me to spend the last night with him., his passing was very peaceful.

I can't speak highly enough of Oaktree Court, Andy (the manager) and all the staff have a genuine really caring nature where nothing is too much trouble. Combine this with a strong "can do" attitude and you can see what sets them apart from other care homes.
My father only spent a short time at Oaktree
before he unfortunately passed away, but in that time we, and most importantly he was treated like royalty.
The room was excellent and spotless - and frequently rearranged to suit changing needs, the food was delicious, we were constantly checked on and made to feel as comfortable as possible.
If only all care homes were like Oaktree court!!

From the moment we walked through the door of Oaktree Court we knew it was the right place for mum, no way has it disappointed. Not only is she in her hometown, which she has never left, but the whole ethos of Oaktree has been absolutely what she needed. The caring, respect and kindness afforded to
all of us has been incredible. All the staff, without exception, has always been there for mum and for the family, we cannot praise or thank them enough.

Our father was at this home for around 9 months and experienced kind and caring staff throughout his stay. He had only good words to say about all members of staff. My observations were that staff were always cheerful and helpful, that the home is well situated in lovely grounds with a rural aspect
and rooms were bright/clean and of a reasonable size and that all in all this felt a very professionally managed home. I think that improvements could be made to the standard of food, however, I note there was a regular supply of biscuits and home made cakes. There are very regular activities including a minibus for day trips and meals out in the evenings. Thank you to all the staff at Oaktree Court.

Thank you, Steve for your review, we were all very fond of your father, who made some very good friendships with both the staff and family. I will never forget the day he told me he wanted to go to Thailand, which with all our support he was able to do, and which I am sure he'd be eternally grateful. We have in response to concerns raised, employed a new head chef who has changed the menu to reflect the wishes of the residents more closely. The results have been extremely good.

My mother died in Oaktree Court on the 27th of January 2017. She was there for 10 months. She was very happy in her time there. The staff are wonderful and the care is very good indeed.

Oaktree Court provided care for a dear friend in her final months of life. Whilst very weak, she remained very lucid, and consistently commented on the high standard of care that she received. Over frequent visits, I was also impressed by the standard of care, and the cheerful and obliging demeanour
of all the staff I met. The informal, open visiting arrangements were much appreciated.

We are very happy with Mums care at the home. She is always clean and well dressed. We have always found the staff to be caring and attentive to the resident's needs. Occasional minor problems such as laundry etc have always been dealt with promptly by the management.

Oaktree Court is a friendly, welcoming home set in beautiful surroundings. The Somerset Suite provides its residents with a home from home feel in bright, clean airy surroundings. Care is very much person-centred and staff appear to have a very good insight into residents needs. The food is freshly
prepared and the chef makes glorious birthday cakes!! There is always something going on the activities team are fantastic too.

On all visits, we have been made to feel very welcome. All staff are very friendly and there's a lovely comfortable atmosphere.
Mum seems to have settled in really well, her appetite has increased and I can see from activities photos how much she enjoys them.

My mother was looked after very well as she was deteriorating physically, the staff took great care of her needs. My mother died at the home and the end of life care plan was superb. Any problems were swiftly taken care of and I was kept informed promptly and fully.

Hi, I'm Marie, Home Manager at Oaktree Court!


I am absolutely delighted to be back at Oaktree Court as Home Manager! Having previously held this role from January 2019 to October 2021, it feels wonderful to return to such a warm and welcoming community. After moving to Shropshire for a time, I’m now back in Somerset and couldn’t be happier to have rejoined the team.


As a Registered Nurse, my background spans a variety of areas, including Paediatrics, Accident & Emergency, Police Forensic Nursing, Substance Misuse, Rapid Response, Acute Medical Wards, and Out-of-Hours GP Specialist Nursing. I’ve also managed nursing agencies and care homes, as well as held regional and compliance roles.


Providing exceptional care, upholding high standards, and advocating for residents has always been at the heart of my work. I love getting to know our residents and their families, and I’m always happy to have an informal chat about life at Oaktree Court. If you’d like to know more, please do get in touch!

I am the Head Chef at Oaktree Court.


I am responsible for running the catering services at Oaktree Court, ensuring residents receive meals they enjoy. I use the best locally sourced ingredients to create incredible dining experiences.


As part of my role, as Head Chef, I make sure there is ample choice available for everyone, you will often see me around the home chatting to residents, finding out what they like best and ensuring everyone is happy with the food being served.
