My lovely mum (88 years) has been through a very traumatic 7 weeks in hospital made worse by her early onset dementia symptoms so I can not thank the staff enough for the welcome she was given making her feel safe after her transfer to the home for assessment. The care she has been given in the last three days since her arrival has made me feel much more at ease knowing she is being attended to by people who really care and are taking the time to understand her needs. Thank you, everyone.
I have been more than satisfied for the wonderful care and attention that I have received in the period I have been here. I thoroughly would recommend it to anyone.
I have been extremely happy with the care and support that has been shown to my father. He is happy and content with the care and love he has found here. It has taken a lot of the worry and concern I have for him as I live 150 miles away from him. Thank you.
Cannot express enough how caring all the staff are here. Our first time as a family using the care system and our mum has been so looked after.
Haven't been able to get into the care home since the beginning of February because of lockdowns. Have been round once a week to drop stuff off, there doesn't seem to be many staff around. My aunt will be 98 in July and before covid, we were able to bring her out for coffee and to stay for the odd weekend. It's very difficult for her to understand why we can't see her or bring her out when we are all fully vaccinated and taking tests. We are told that we have to live with covid now and restrictions in most places have been scrapped, yet we still have to wear full PPE when we can visit even after a negative test. She is hard of hearing so wearing a mask all the time means she can't hear and makes any visit hard work.
Thank you so much for the Carehome review for Market Lavington and the good review overall, it is very much appreciated. With regard to your concerns regarding visiting we know that you are in very regular contact with the home and note that you have been continuing to have window visits. The...
It has been impossible to visit this month because of Covid restrictions but when I last visited in January my sister was cheerful and alert and seemed to have a good relationship with the staff who, of course, have been under great pressure. She was talkative and pleased to see me. I hope when the situation improves the she will have more opportunities to meet other residents.
He was treated with care and kindness from all of the staff before his passing on the 13th February.
The staff were very supportive to me and other members of the family during our visits at a difficult time.
My mother was treated kindly and had plenty of choice regarding meals. The room always looked clean when we visited and the facilities were good. The security is good at this care home and the management team always replied to emails very quickly and sorted any queries I had well.
My spouse was well looked after, he felt safe and cared for. He was always highly complimentary about the staff and the food. Whenever I visited there was always a warm and lovely atmosphere around the home generally.
It has been a very pleasant and enjoyable experience staying at Market Lavington Care Home.
The service was very good and the food was excellent.
My mother was extremely well cared for during her almost 6 year stay here. The staff are wonderful and Mum was treated so well. In the final 2 weeks of her life, Mum was treated with kindness and dignity and I and my brothers were also cared for as we sat with her. The staff are all kind and caring.
The staff at Market Lavington Care Home provided wonderful care for my stepmother. Qualities such as good communication and kindness were appreciated especially as I lived miles away. They kept her safe during the COVID pandemic and provided a friendly and caring environment. Thank you.
My husband was admitted to be assessed as to his needs he, however, rapidly declined and was confirmed end of life. Staff have been amazing. I'm so pleased that my husband was not in a hospital environment, the room here was intimate and homely, staff fed me and nothing was too much trouble. As my husband's carer, I was able to visit daily and stay overnight. My husband's last two weeks were what he would have wanted and I'll always be eternally grateful.
I am very happy with the service I get. The carers are very caring and do all they can to help you. The room is kept clean. The food is plentiful and nice. At the present time, I can find no fault. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
The staff are always smiling.
I have been in this room for 3 and a half years and I've made it homely with lots from home after a bad fall and smashing my left hip. I was rushed to hospital and after a few weeks, an ambulance brought me here at 8 o'clock in the morning. I am very happy here with a lovely view of very old Ash and Maple trees, which was the old vicarage garden, but now part of the carpark. There are tables and chairs just outside my French doors which have a high stone step down onto the tarmac. My door is open most of the day, weather permitting. I can't walk very far. I have balance problems too, as well as ulcerative colitis since the age of about 15.
This is my home and I love living here. The staff are my family.
Her room was clean and tidy, better than it has been in the past.
Mum is really happy here. It is obvious she is well cared for and the staff are really diligent and caring.
