I am extremely pleased with the quality of care that my father is receiving. He is settled and secure and the attention to detail shown by the staff is fantastic. They are genuine in their care for him and always happy to talk to me and answer my questions. I could not wish for a better place for my dad to live.

Many many thanks to all the wonderful, amazing, caring people at Merlin Court Care Home who made such a positive difference to the last two years of our dad’s life. We visited 5 care homes in the same area and had no hesitation in selecting Merlin Court, primarily for the warmth and humanity of the people who work there. It is obvious from the moment you arrive that all the staff, including the manager himself, put the care of the residents first. Even when Dad became incontinent and cantankerous he was looked after with care, dignity and respect. Thank you all so much.
Thank you very much for your fantastic review of Merlin Court Care Home. Your father was a very special man, who touched everyone’s hearts. We really appreciate you sharing your feelings relating to the care, as we are passionate about delivering quality, person centred support. I am touched by...
The staff and management were so helpful and friendly when we had to find some emergency care for my father. They couldn't do enough. We felt Dad was safe and well looked after. He wasn't so keen on the food and I think some activities he might have enjoyed were not yet back after COVID restrictions. The COVID limitations were a little difficult to follow at times, but as it was a short-term stay, that was easily overcome. Thank you to everyone for taking such good care of our dad.
Thank you for taking the time to review Merlin Court Care Home. We are pleased to hear that your father enjoyed his respite stay with us, in the loving care community that we create. We appreciate that the current COVID restrictions can be frustrating, however we continue to encourage regular safe visiting to ensure our residents and their loved ones are always connected. Best wishes, Rachel.
Merlin Court looks after its residents beautifully on the whole. Once or twice I witnessed casual, hurried or overbearing attendance on my father: otherwise the care given to him by three staff, in particular, was first class. We were informed of accidents, falls or other mishaps so remained reassured of his welfare and treatment when things went wrong. When coronavirus hit we couldn't visit for nearly a year, so received weekly emails about Dad’s daily life and morale, improving our own. Residents’ autonomy is paramount: a ‘wellbeing’ facility, offering the chance to follow one’s own interests, is particularly well run. My father, previously an aloof intellectual, enjoyed musical evenings and was offered literature to suit his style. As he declined he was visited regularly: poetry was read to him or classical music put on for him to hear. One of the three particularly regular staff members was with him when he died; another came to his funeral. These things gladdened our hearts immeasurably.
Thank you K R for your feedback, we really appreciate you letting us know your experiences of the team, and the care given to your father. It was our pleasure to spend time with him. He is greatly missed. The team acknowledge your comments, and will continue to improve the service offered to all who spend time in the home. Best wishes, Michael.
I would always recommend Merlin Court to anyone looking for care for their loved one.

It is a pleasure to have your husband staying with us as part of our warm and welcoming community, giving you and your family the peace of mind that you deserve. Best wishes.
Staff unfailingly helpful.
Liaison with GP not very satisfactory.

I have been a resident at Merlin Court for 10 months, this has taken quite a lot of adjustment made easier by the support and friendly attitude of the staff who are always there with a friendly cuppa.

Excellent helpful staff, caring and loving towards my mum, who has deteriorated considerably during lockdown. The love and care provided by the staff has been invaluable during this very difficult time. Thank you. Owing to COVID restrictions, I cannot rate all the areas.
Thank you for taking the time to review Merlin Court Care Home. It is a true pleasure to have your mother as part of our loving care community. Your kind words about our staff team are truly invaluable to us, and we look forward to inviting you into our home for more regular safe visiting now that the restrictions have eased. Best Wishes Ryan.
Our parents have been resident at Merlin Court for only two months and are already relaxed and comfortable so settling in very well. The manager and his team have provided first-class professional care and are extremely dedicated and proficient in every aspect of what they do. Whilst the care they provide is clearly a priority, the home itself is tastefully decorated and has a calm ambiance. The cleanliness, safety and food are of a high standard and the facilities are no different to that of a quality hotel with lovely gardens and a superb location. The communication is faultless and any requests are dealt with promptly and nothing is too much trouble. This week it was Dad’s birthday and they delivered once again! It would be fair to say the manager and his team are excellent role models for this industry and indeed industries alike. If we could say we’ve only done one good thing this year, selecting Merlin Court for our parents is certainly a decision we are proud to have made.
Both of my parents were very well cared for in the last years of their lives. The staff consistently went out of their way to do the little things that matter so much to residents, going above and beyond normal duties. My parents were always treated with dignity and respect. Our family felt the carers understood the true meaning of care, and we will never forget the kindness and compassion they showed us in my parents' final weeks.
Both my parents spent the last years of their lives in Merlin Court. They had differing needs and during their time in the home, they received a very high standard of care, which was specific and appropriate to their individual situations. They were looked after with care and compassion and treated with dignity, respect and real affection too. I felt very reassured by how my parents were treated and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending MerlinCourt to others.
Merlin Court provided excellent support for my aunt during her brief stay. I would thoroughly recommend.
Many thanks for your feedback it is very valuable to us. I will pass to the staff who will appreciate it.
Visiting unexpectedly an old school friend who has been at Merlin Court about 18 months with her husband who has now died. What a beautiful place. The warmest of welcomes, a hot drink and cakes and then to our friend's room - it was superb. She is very happy here and we could see her care was superb. We have visited many friends in homes over the last few years but this was the best ever.
My mother-in-law is very well cared for and the staff team at Merlin Court have been exemplary along with the leadership and nursing management staff. We are very happy with the care and nursing given to my mother-in-law over the last 2.5 years.
My father recently moved into Merlin Court. Having visited many care homes over the years, I can say, without doubt, Merlin Court is by far and away the best I have ever seen. The feel of the home more resembles a hotel than a care home with excellent facilities throughout. Bright and airy and easy to move around, the most outstanding feature of Merlin Court, however, is the fantastic staff who are kind, respectful and patient. You won't find a better place.
Cleanliness is generally good but sometimes the area under the bed is messy. Perhaps cleaning could be done when mum is having a meal. Small issue but often the coffee shop is missing cups, spoons, forks but the cake is always good. The coffee shop is a good facility. Can't comment too much on the food as I'm never there at mealtimes. Mum doesn't like too big a plate of food so maybe a smaller portion would be better, then seconds.
