The staff have always been extremely kind, caring and helpful to my friend and towards me when visiting. They make a point of getting to know their patients very well and do all they can to make them feel relaxed and at home. The care could not be faulted and I would recommend this care home 100%.
Merlin Court is a very well run care home. The reception area, lounges, dining room and cafe are very pleasant and attractively designed. A range of activities are programmed every day for the residents which they can enjoy and where they can socialise with the other residents. The residents are well cared for in every respect from the food and drinks they are served, to the help they are given with routines such as washing and dressing. Most importantly the carers show great kindness and consideration to the residents who appreciate greatly their cheerful manner. There is a good community atmosphere in the home which each resident is part of.
The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgable and she received excellent end of life care with the support from the district nurses.
The Care Home has a calm, happy feel to it. The staff are very welcoming, high standard of housekeeping, good food and a varied activities programme.
A peaceful and very pleasant atmosphere.
Comfortable and sensibly designed rooms.
Food is quite good but not superlative.
Gardens need more draught free areas.
Activities have been varied and enjoyable.
This really is a friendly and welcoming place to live with lovely staff who always go the extra mile to help.
Thought the professionalism of the staff was outstanding, showing care and consideration to my mother.
My Mum was admitted to Merlin Court Care Home in July this year for rest bite, recommended by her doctor. She is now going to be a permanent resident. In the short time she has been there we have seen such a difference with her and she has improved so much. My mum seems very happy and the care she is receiving is excellent. All of the staff are very friendly which has made the transition much easier for all of the family.
Merlin Court provided a lovely reception room for my friend to celebrate her 60th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere of the residence was excellent, friendly and comfortable and very clean. Very well appointed with an attractive garden. All in all one of the nicest care homes I have seen.
(Ps I was a care home deputy matron for some years and have worked in most Wiltshire nursing homes none as nice as this one.)
A wonderful care home with fantastic staff. Very clean and bright and friendly. My mother was very happy with her fortnight here and I'd be happy for her to come again. Thank you.
My father went into Merlin Court late 2016. From the outset, it has been a great success. The staff are really caring, always positive and happy and always kind to both my father and the family when we visit. He was very concerned about ending his days in a home - based on the old perception of people all sat around a television for the whole day. Merlin Court is ideal - the whole set up feels very welcoming (more hotel than care home), his room is of a good size and we were able to bring in his furniture to make it feel like home. He needed more support than we could get for him at home - and the staff are fantastic at providing that without him feeling he has lost his independence. We couldn't be happier - and relieved! The move to Merlin Court has exceeded our expectations.
My mother went into the care home last November and we were all pleased she had been fortunate in finding such a lovely place. Unfortunately, she was unwell over Christmas, which we think was caused by the stress of moving. The staff are to be thanked for their kindness and patience and encouragement in helping mum to settle into her new environment and to join in with lots of activities that are provided. It is a great comfort to our family that mum is being well looked after and that she is happy now.
My mother has been in a number of care homes for respite care in the area around Marlborough, there is no doubt in my mind that Merlin Court is by far the best in terms of the care the staff take in looking after their clients.
Completely satisfactory.
My husband was at Merlin Court for just three months until he died. He was looked after extremely well, staff, as he said, were "very cheerful" and he was treated with dignity at a very difficult time for him with loss of motivation and self-respect. I would thoroughly recommend Merlin Court. My husband needed a high level of nursing care this was well provided. The home itself was very supportive to me and my family throughout this sad time.
I would highly recommend Merlin Court to anyone.
The recent refurbishment has resulted in top of the range rooms and facilities. The staff and management are 100% attentive, caring and welcoming. My mother, aged 99 says she "couldn't be in a nicer place" and we completely agree.
Mum is quite poorly at present and we cannot fault her care in calling the doctor and looking after her while confined to bed. Thank you.

I want to make sure that I give the residents a difference between being at home and being in a care home, especially when families are away as we are like one big family.
