My husband has been a resident of White Lodge Care Home since January of this year. He has at all times been treated with dignity and respect, supporting us both in what has been such a difficult decision for him to leave our home. All staff without exception appear to love their work, this shows in the permanent smiles on their faces. Nothing is too much trouble. (Yesterday 8th of May) we celebrated the King's Coronation at a bbq, an enormous success for the activities team and all staff.
My mum is 93 years old, she had been living in her own home for the past 58 years, she had been living independently and on her own for the past 15 years after the passing of my late father. After a short period of illness and hospitalisation, we agreed residential care was the best option for...
We highly recommend White Lodge Care Home. The management and staff have provided my mum with first-class residential care from her first day's assessments right through to the present day. Mum is super happy there and now considers it her forever home.
The staff at White Lodge put 'care' first in everything they do. Mum speaks highly of everyone there, without exception. The management team listen first and always acts quickly to requests from Mum and our family. We couldn't ask or expect for a better-managed or responsive team.
At White Lodge, there are no 'heirs and grace'. What you see is what you get. The decor is sympathetic yet comfortable.
White Lodge offers good value with excellent care!

When I visited her, she was relaxed and happy just as other residents appeared to be. The full programme of activities kept her stimulated, so important for people with dementia. Knowing my wife was happy and well cared for enabled me to take a much-needed break.
Dear Colin, thank you so much for choosing WL for respite care. I and my team were so happy that you and your daughter visited and participate in our Coronation Day.

It was a lovely environment for her as it had such a warm and friendly atmosphere.
It is a well-appointed place and the food is excellent. It is managed very well. My mother had a lovely, large ensuite room with a charming view over gardens and a lake. I was able to visit whenever I wanted.
I thoroughly recommend it. It was - literally- the perfect place for my mother.

Since my sister has been with you (July 2022), she has had exemplary care from everyone on Treetops Ward. Although she has a rare form of dementia the staff are well trained and understand the different types of dementia. Her birthday in January was lovely with banners, balloons and cake. Her nails had been painted and lipstick was in place. Thank you all so much for taking such wonderful care of her and making it easier for her family to leave her with you. One staff member, in particular, is so good with her and always cheerful.
Thank you very much for reviewing our service. I will share the feedback with my team and we will aim to continue to offer high standards of care.
Thank you so much for your wonderful care for my wife in the ten weeks she was here. From the management to your wonderful caring team, you were all amazing and so friendly.

Hello, my name is Ramona, and I'm the Senior General Manager here at White Lodge. Welcome to our website!
I joined Barchester in 2018 as a Clinical Lead, progressing to Deputy Manager, General Manager and most recently promoted to Senior General Manager of White Lodge.
My focus at White Lodge is to ensure residents have the best possible life and experiences every single day, supported by the skilled and caring team here. I am committed to person-centred care for all our residents, and my door is always open to them and their families.
I have a real passion for nursing, beginning my nursing career in 2004 in Romania as a cardiac nurse. I moved to the UK with my family in 2011, and I have worked in adult general nursing in the UK since then.
For anyone considering care for themselves or for a loved one, our doors are open for you to visit and meet the team.

I joined White Lodge as a Care Assistant in February 2026 and, after gaining valuable experience working closely with our residents and their families, I have recently progressed into my role as an Admin Assistant.
My time as a Care Assistant gave me the opportunity to get to know our residents on a personal level and understand how important it is to create a warm, welcoming and supportive environment. Moving into administration has allowed me to develop new skills while continuing to build the relationships I have made with residents, relatives and colleagues.
I particularly enjoy being part of the day-to-day life at White Lodge and meeting the wonderful people who make our home so special. Whether it is having a friendly conversation, supporting families with their queries or helping behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly, I enjoy knowing that my role contributes to the positive experience of our residents.
I feel very proud to be part of the White Lodge team and look forward to continuing to grow in my role.

My name is Suraj, and I am the Activity Coordinator here at White Lodge. I have been part of the Barchester family for the past four years, and during this time I have had the opportunity to develop my skills, build meaningful relationships with residents, families and friends and gain a deeper understanding of person-centred care.
For me, activities are much more than simply filling time. They are about creating meaningful moments, encouraging independence, building confidence and helping residents maintain connections with the people, interests and communities that are important to them.
Most importantly, I want every resident to feel that their voice matters, their interests are valued and that there is always something to look forward to.

I am Hamzat. I joined the White Lodge Care Home team in August 2022 as a Health Care Assistant. Since then, through dedication, consistent performance, and commitment to high standards of care, I have progressed to the role of Senior Carer – a meaningful step that reflects my growing expertise and readiness to take on greater responsibility.Over my time here, I have built strong capabilities across core areas of care, particularly in communication: I connect empathetically with residents, families, and colleagues, ensuring everyone feels heard, valued, and fully informed about care plans and daily life at the home.
I have also taken on two important champion roles that shape how we deliver care:
- Speak Up Champion: I encourage open, honest communication across the team, helping colleagues feel safe to raise concerns, share ideas, and speak up for the safety and wellbeing of residents
- Dementia Champion: I lead by example in delivering person-centred support for those living with dementia, promoting understanding, dignity, and approaches that help residents maintain independence and enjoy meaningful moments.Being part of White Lodge has given me the ideal environment to broaden my knowledge across both care and hospitality. I have learned that great care goes beyond meeting physical needs – it also means creating a warm, welcoming, and comfortable “home” atmosphere, where kindness, respect, and attention to detail make every day better for those we support. This experience has deepened my passion for care work and prepared me to take on further leadership and development opportunities in the future.
