My mother has been a resident for five months at Priestley Rose Nursing Home. She has settled in very well. It is a lovely home, very clean, bright and all the staff are very nice and pleasant. There is a wide range of meals to choose from. It is reassuring to know when we leave that she is safe and
secure at the age of 97.

My sister has been in this nursing home for a few years. When she was able, she enjoyed the interaction with the staff. If we asked about a certain subject, they always did their best to help. I could not answer the "value for money" question, as my older brother, who always lived with her, looked after
financial details.

The home is located near to the city centre and as a consequence, it is an older building. However, it is comfortable and clean and it is quite clear that there is an ongoing refurbishment project in progress. If any problems arise they are quickly attended to and the comfort and safety of residents
is always at the forefront of matters.


The staff are all very good and attentive with their primary concern being the welfare of the residents. In my experience, the residents are well cared for in all aspects of health, dietary requirements, cleanliness and physical/mental stimulation by the use of various entertainment and games. Family/friends are welcome to visit with virtually no restrictions and staff are always available for discussion should anything arise. In the event of accidents occurring contact is made with families very quickly and they are kept fully informed. This is the second home my mother has been in and she is far more settled and better cared for at Priestly Rose.

This home is absolutely lovely, the staff, the care workers and nurses are quite amazing. This is a very happy environment. My husband is left spotlessly clean, his clothes and night clothes are changed daily and his personal care is wonderful.
I would recommend this home to everyone.
The food is
lovely and I pay just £1.00 per day to eat with my husband daily.
We are delighted with every aspect of the home, the arranged a BBQ last week and hired a singer to entertain the guests, it was fantastic.
Well done Priestley Rose.

Excellent care and support provided for my Auntie. Carers excellent in care and support, and carers excellent in good manners and friendliness. Room was adequate, but warm and clean. Medical care is good and I was regularly informed on the state of health of my Auntie. The manager is very friendly and
always approachable. The food was good but not very luxurious. I would recommend Priestley Rose to anybody.

My mum was admitted to Priestley Rose Nursing Home from residential care in September 2014; the care that she received over the following 18 months was the best we could have wished for. She never suffered from pressure sores which had been a problem prior to the move, she always smelled fresh and clean
and was treated with dignity and compassion at all times. The care that every member of staff gave to her was very humbling.
The record keeping was always up to date; we were always able to see what she had eaten and drank and how she had slept without having to bother the nurses.
The last week of Mum’s life was a very difficult time but it was made so much more bearable by the thought and compassion showed by the staff. We would highly recommend Priestley Rose to any family looking for high quality, friendly, dignified care for a loved one.
We could single out staff to say thank you but there are far too many; such kind, devoted members of the whole team no matter what their role.
