I was terrified when I found out Mum had to move to this less expensive home from the one the hospital had placed Mum in when NHS was funding the care. Mum moved to Priestley Rose in May this year. She settled quickly. She loves the food. The nurses are great. They were so attentive when Mum was unwell
and needed hospital for suspected sepsis. The carers ensure hygiene is well maintained and always report any redness to the skin, which is carefully monitored. When I have had any reason to raise any queries about Mum the nurses respond to family worries, whether it is by contacting the doctor or their own input.

Priestley Rose is a superb care home. All staff, I encounter are very welcoming, caring, supportive and genuinely care for all of their residents. My dad is very happy here and is well cared for. The building is kept well maintained and smells lovely as you walk in. They provide lots of fun entertainment
for the residents and their families at various times during the year. Well done to all of the staff. Keep up the amazing work!

My aunt is exceptionally well looked after. The nurses and carers know her well and if she is poorly they react by making phone calls when necessary. All staff are friendly and courteous and my aunt is so lucky to be a resident here she is washed every day and meals bought to her room which is always
neat and clean and tidy. The staff know her well and are very experienced.

Every visit is met with courtesy and friendliness, you know the residents are well cared for and are clean and comfortable. All the nurses and carers know each individual resident. I know if there is anything wrong the nurses and carers will react and make the necessary phone calls particularly when
a resident is sick. My friend is fortunate to be in a care home that is safe and so caring.

Our mother has been a resident of Priestley Rose nursing home for some years now. We have always been very happy with her care there. She has always been met with great attention and thoroughness. Staff are polite and attentive to family and visitors as well as the residents. Our mother's key staff
along with the staff team as a whole have formed and fostered trusting relationships know her well and communicate well with us.

In mum's last days the level of care she received was outstanding. Despite being bed bound for most of last year she had no pressure sores, and when she scratched/damaged her own skin, extensive measures were taken to make sure they healed. When mum stopped eating and drinking, staff persevered and
gave mouth care. They were endlessly patient when she was aggressive, and kept us informed. The staff made mum's last years happy ones. She loved the staff here, and gave us peace of mind that mum was in safe, loving hands. Thank you.

I would like to thank everyone here for the amazing care given to mum from 2018 till March 29 2025. She finally lost her battle with vascular dementia, surrounded by staff and family. It was a peaceful end, mum just went to sleep and never woke up. Her time here allowed her to live life to the full,
with no carers or worries, only fun and games. She was treated with compassion, love, dignity, and wonderful care right up to the end of her amazing life. No pressure sores, prompt intervention, and always had a phone call to follow up any action taken and safe in your hands. Her time with you allowed me for the first time in many years to step back and become a daughter again. To enjoy times with mum filled with laughter without worry, and this was so precious to have. My family and I will always be in your debt for the hard work and dedication you have shown to all the residents. From our hearts, to your hearts.

Our father is being well cared for, is settled and content. Staff are always approachable, friendly and helpful. All make a conscious effort to engage with Dad, when cleaning, dropping off a morning tea and cake etc.
The quality and variety of food and snacks is very good. Staff have a regular routine
of cleaning, prepping patients for the day etc, which is a good practice and ensures regular contact with Dad throughout the day. Wider medical needs are also quickly and efficiently addressed. Thank you to all staff at Priestley for making Dad so comfortable.

My brother has recently moved into the nursing home and was very anxious about the transition. It is still early days, but he has been reassured by the caring staff who make great efforts to help him maintain some independence whilst at the same time, providing the care and support he needs. At each

My mom has been a resident at priestley rose for 2 years , I'm extremely happy with the care provided and the support given to my mom on a daily basis, there is always activities going on after lunch which mom really enjoys , and they have regular party which are fantastic and always feel very welcomed

I have been here for 5 months and have been really pleased that I was sent here. The care has been excellent and the staff are ready to help in any way that they can. The general atmosphere is of a happy home. They are continually trying to keep the resident occupied and often have singers in on special
