Overall Experience
Outstanding care was provided to my aunt who was admitted for end of life care. We were told she wouldn’t last the week but with the care and support of the team she picked up and enjoyed a few months with loved ones.
Ardenlea Court was a home from home, not only did they care for my aunt but they welcomed my uncle who found it difficult to cope with my aunt being in care. He spent each day at her side and the staff looked after him too offering support and refreshments.
The care and compassion showed by the team made it easier for us as a family knowing my aunt was getting the best care possible and nothing was ever too much trouble.

The support provided to us during the last days of my aunt's life was phenomenal and I would have no hesitation in recommending the manager and the team to others in the future. I will always be grateful.

Some very caring staff members but poor communication between teams and also with next of kin. Staff never consulted records in answer to my questions. Significant errors in admin system resulting in incorrect medical info being used for my mother - wrong allergy info, the wrong reason for admission, wrong tel no. Fortunately, no harm was done but it could have been so different. Physios produced a good outcome - improved mobility but compromised privacy. Decisions from one team meeting reported to Mum in front of several residents. Poor care from a couple of carers - not treating my mother with dignity or respect and gossiping about her within earshot.

Mom received excellent care and support with immediate effect after arriving at Ardenlea Court. Mom's rehabilitation and return home was thanks to the excellent professional help from nurses, occupational therapist, geriatrician and management team.

Thank you for helping mom to return home to independent living.

Simple requests such as a cup of tea or visit to the toilet are ignored. Patients cry out for help but no one comes.
Care and food, etc. are not worth £1200 a week.

It's just appalling. Pills are not handed to patients sometimes as late as 12 am in the evening.

I couldn't fault the care and support they give to anyone who comes to Ardenlea Court. The staff are dedicated and polite and always ready to help. They are always smiling and happy. The food is excellent up there with restaurant quality. I would recommend the place to anyone.

99% of your staff were friendly helpful and efficient. The atmosphere was good. Only one staff member seemed lacking. Asked for flannel which she didn't get and heard that on nights she didn't pull her weight. The chef always provided excellent food. Room was of a high standard.

I have been a qualified nurse since 2009 and my previous experience has been in the hospital settings including A&E, respiratory conditions and admission prevention in the community.

It was during my time working in the community I had the exposure to care homes and loved the atmosphere, long term care that is delivered to the residents and getting to know all of them personally.

I really enjoy working here with this team as we deliver amazing person-centred care to our residents and their family.

I am married and have a son and a dog, in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going on walks and being outside.

I like my role as I can use my own personal strengths every day to help residents. I am creative and empathetic which enables me to plan fun and engaging activities which enhance the lives of our residents. I leave work each day and feel that I’ve had a positive impact on at least a few residents that day. This and the lovely feedback we get from residents and relatives makes my job so rewarding.

I like Ardenlea Court in particular as Nirmal is a brilliantly supportive and fun colleague, and all team members help to support activities where needed. This creates a great working atmosphere in the home.

Outside of work, I am a huge football fan, and supporter of Liverpool FC, so watching football is my favourite hobby. I am also a big animal lover, I love cats and dogs equally but hope to adopt a rescue dog with my husband in the near future.

I love being a receptionist and working at Ardenlea Court as I get to greet/meet visitors and different types of staff as the first point of call.

I also really enjoy helping the residents and staff by brightening up their day to day life by making them smile.
