Mum has lived at Blossomfield Grange for three-and-a-half years now.

The facilities are constantly being refreshed and modernised to a consistently high spec. More than that the whole staffing group and management work as a team, responsive to concerns and very attentive. From everyone pulling together to ensure mum's 95th birthday celebration was as wonderful as it could be, to working closely with the family re mum's GP visits, the team ensure a home from home environment tailored to mum's needs.

Mum lived at Blossomfield Grange for seven years, until she recently passed away peacefully in her lovely room at the home. Having spent so many happy visits with mum with coffee, cake, music, chats, celebrations and getting to know all the wonderful carers, it was humbling to experience 'end of life' care - which is going on unnoticed and 'behind the scenes'. Mum was looked after with such tender care and genuine compassion in her final days, and I can't fault how everyone across all areas of the home also cared for me at that difficult time. I was very happy to provide a glowing review last year, and wanted to post another one now with a different perspective, in case it helps other relatives thinking of care for a loved one nearing the end of their journey.

I am a resident of the home and have been for several years. I am well looked after and I get on well with all of the staff. I have a nice room and I have been able to bring some of my own furniture. I enjoy crocheting with other residents at Knit & Natter on a Monday.

Overall I am happy here, it's my home.

It was a difficult decision to move my 96 year old father from his own home to a care environment. We instantly knew after looking at several care homes that Blossomfield grange was the one. With the help of all staff the transition was made very easy their knowledge and understanding made everything run smoothly.
From the moment we went to look at the home the staff have been helpful, attentive, respectful and courteous, and have made my father feel very welcome and part of the family.
Blossomfield Grange is clean, very well decorated and is always welcoming , visiting is enjoyable.
Lovely to see so many smiling residents and staff.
The Residents enjoy many activities, day trips and themed events family and friends are always welcome to join in the fun.
We are extremely happy with the level of care and my father is happy and content which makes me happy too.

Thank you to the Blossomfield Grange Family.

After 17 challenging weeks in hospital and a complex diagnosis of vascular dementia, my mother-in-law's journey to finding a suitable care home felt nearly impossible. Several homes had turned her away, deeming her needs too complex to manage. That was until we discovered Blossomfield Grange.
From the moment we connected with the team, we were met with compassion, professionalism, and above all, hope. Every single member of staff has been nothing short of amazing-caring, attentive, and deeply dedicated to her wellbeing. However, it was the incredible tenacity and unwavering commitment of the customer relations manager and the deputy manager that truly changed everything for us.

Their tireless efforts in liaising with Social Services, assessing our loved one thoroughly, and refusing to give up made what once seemed unmanageable, possible. Without the customer relations manager and the deputy manager, we would still be battling uncertainty. Thanks to them, my mother-in-law is now in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that she so deserves.

My mother enjoyed her recent respite at Blossomfield Grange and she settled in very quickly. Mum said it was the best home she had been to. She particularly liked sitting in the bistro and sun lounge areas people watching! The food was good and just the right amount for her, and she loved her room. She felt the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for looking after my mum so well and making her stay such a positive experience. I would have no hesitation in using Blossomfield Grange again.

We moved mom who has vascular dementia here to Blossomfield Grange in February 2025 because we had a terrible experience at her previous Carehome .
It was the best decision myself and my sister made.
The care mom is receiving at Blossomfield Grange is second to none all of the staff are so accommodating and caring which gives me peace of mind.
I cannot fault anything it's a beautiful Carehome the renovations had just been started when mom moved here now it's almost completed it's absolutely beautiful.

If you're thinking of looking at Carehomes for your loved ones l couldn't recommend Blossomfield Grange enough.

Have experienced and observed good interactions between staff and residents . Staff always seem willing to help and answer questions that are put to them, Also staff seem to show patience towards stubborn residents which are often found in Dementia and Alzheimer's residents.

The home itself has recently undergone a full refurbishment and is well equipped, the rest lounge areas are very relaxing and residents are encouraged to use them.

Mum came to Blossomfield Grange after a nasty fall at home. The admission process was smooth and efficient, and she was quickly made to feel very welcome and a member of the Blossomfield Family. The staff are exceptional and go that extra mile. They all contribute to a busy happy home, the care staff, the catering staff the concierge the cleaning staff . There is an excellent programme of activities with regular outings every week which Mum really enjoyed as she got better. The food was very good, served beautifully and varied and always a good choice. Truely nothing was too much trouble and now the refurbishment of the visitor lounge and residents lounge is complete it really is a superb facility. Thank you all very much.

My mother has been a resident of Blossomfield Grange since February 2025. My mom has dementia and was starting to struggle at her home, since moving to Blossomfield Grange, Moms overall health has really improved, this is down to the stimulation she gets from all the staff, the days out they have and the nutritional meals. The care staff are fabulous and she is well looked after, everybody is friendly and not only know Mom but also the rest of the family too. Blossomfield Grange has made a difficult time that little bit easier.

The staff at Blossomfield Grange always extend their warm welcome towards the relatives of their residents and visitors. You can feel this as you enter their care home!
My aunt has settled quickly into their family. Despite suffering from Vascular Dementia and recovering from a hip operation only three months ago, she has made a remarkable recovery and now feels safe, comfortable and relaxed as well as feeling appreciated and loved.
"They are all lovely people here!" she tells us each time we visit her.
She has an older sister already living here!
My husband and I were in a fortunate position of already having experienced the enormous efforts of staff supporting my mother with Alzheimer's on Blossomfield Grange's Reminiscence floor.
It had been my mother's greatest wish to see her "little sister" more frequently than was possible for us to provide, whilst she was still living independently an hour away.

My aunt's misfortune becomes her older sister's joy! Thank you!

Overall Experience
I am a Power of Attorney for a friend I've known for over 50 years who is in her 80's and has no relatives. A lady who sadly now suffers with Alzheimer's. She came to Blossomfield Grange in January 2024 initially for respite
care. It soon became clear she needed full time care and having experienced the quality of the care she'd received I had no hesitation in continuing her care at Blossomfield.
In the past few months the care home has undertaken a major refurbishment project and what a fabulous job they have done. Great thought was obviously taken with the layout and the colour schemes used to create a very sympathetic stylish environment to meet the requirements of the many differing care needs of the residents.

I have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful care home with its lovely staff to anyone looking for a great safe and friendly care home for a loved one. There is also the opportunity to personalise their rooms to help them feel more at home.

Mom has settled in well over the last year and a half considering she didn't want to move and didn't think she needed to move!
The staff do their very best to keep all the residents happy and healthy and it is a very demanding job they do .

So my brother and I are sure mom is in the best place for her . Mom has Alzheimer's which is a slow and difficult disease to deal with it changes the person and is emotionally draining for family. Which is why knowing she is well looked after is so important .

Melissa Hunter
Melissa HunterJob Title:Home Manager

At Blossomfield Grange, we believe it is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring community. Backed by Care UK’s 40 years of experience in delivering award-winning care, our team of dedicated professionals undergoes an intensive training programme designed to keep residents' needs at the heart of everything we do.

As the Home Manager, I am proud to lead this team with a genuine passion for high-quality, person-centred care. For me, ‘good enough’ is never the standard we should aim for. I believe my role is to support our residents in remaining as independent and active as possible, ensuring their emotional and social well-being is nurtured alongside their clinical needs.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care and have extensive experience in safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control. A defining highlight of my career was leading a previous home through its first CQC inspection, where we achieved a ‘Good’ rating across all five key areas—a standard of excellence I am committed to maintaining here.

I believe that effective management requires a blend of being extremely organised and possessing a deep intuitive understanding of people’s needs. By leading with empathy and compassion, I strive to instil a culture where dignity and respect are the default behaviours for both my colleagues and our residents. I am always approachable and stay closely connected to the daily life of the home through my regular walk-arounds. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the positive difference we make, especially when a resident achieves something they once thought was out of reach.

When I am not at home, I focus on recharging by spending quality time with my family. Whether I am out on a long walk, enjoying a shopping trip, or heading away for a weekend break, these moments allow me to return to Blossomfield Grange with the energy and focus needed to provide the best possible environment for our residents.
