Overall, an excellent place to be. I would give this a five-star rating for everything, couldn't hope for anything more of anyone. I was extremely lucky to be here.
Nothing was too much trouble.
A great time was had by all.
Thank you for making it so special.
Very dedicated and hardworking staff.
Mum is taken good care of. There are lots of entertainment, and there is a courtyard with ducks and flowers. The food is very good.
Excellent care given at all times. Very good carers.
I have EPA. I and him find every member of the staff that works here to be polite, caring and a pleasure to talk to. There are "no" words to express my sincere thank you for all the care that you are giving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
There are some very caring, thoughtful staff, especially in the events team and working days. There are real staffing issues at nighttime and weekends; they are regularly understaffed and can't supply the level of care and support. Covid has made it difficult fo the events team, but events are now opening up and being enjoyed.
Felt very welcome and was made very comfortable. Any concerns were put to rest. Staff could not have done more.
My husband has lived in the home for seven months. During this time, the staff have been kind, caring and understanding. He has advanced dementia and needs care 24/7, as unable to mobilise. On the whole, I have been very happy with the care provided, and if there have been small things to address, these have been sorted out. My husband is happy, enjoys activities and interaction with the staff. He says the food is good, and he is never hungry!
Since arriving at Swallows Meadow, my brother has been well cared for and looked after by the staff. From the moment you enter the home, it is evident that it is managed and staffed by professionals who go about their duties in a calm and caring way. My brother is treated with respect, kindness and humour, maintaining his dignity and self-esteem. All members of staff are communicative, open, friendly and willing to offer help when required. The home offers a very safe and hygienically clean space for residents and visitors. I would not hesitate to recommend Swallows Meadow to others - well done!
Activity girls and carers are so kind and helpful. They have been superstars during lockdown. However, we have been frustrated by the lack of a regular update on the situation in the home and regarding mum's welfare at this stressful time. A regular update on the website generally on the situation in the home and a simple email once a month to concerned relatives on their loved ones should have been received from the management team.
Thank you.
If I have any concerns they are dealt with straight away.
Would definitely recommend this home.
Staff are wonderful and always happy and interested in the resident.
My father has been at Swallows Meadow Court for 14 months. He has been cared for so well. The staff really care about their residents and do all they can to be helpful. I have been so impressed with the standard of nursing. We have a good relationship with the staff after all this time and they are so friendly and supportive to us, as family, as well as to my father. Thanks to them all.
My mum moved into Swallows Meadow in October 2019 after a hospital stay and not being able to stay at home on her own. It is lovely to see her so happy and safe. I can't fault the care that she is given, it is done with respect, dignity and kindness. All of the staff here are lovely and always willing to help in any way they can.
The resident is always treated with care and attention from all staff, from carers to cleaners, plus all staff/residents tested negative to Covid-19. Reception staff/office staff are always welcoming and helpful.
I am honestly truly thankful to the staff and all involved at Swallows Meadow. My Mother has been treated with kindness, consideration, and compassion during her stay. The facilities and the staff are brilliant.
Found the staff overstretched and people who needed attention didn't receive it in a timely manner. Staff training lacking in dementia. Hydration not given in a timely manner inc help with eating and swallowing. Moving and handling training should be reviewed and medical staff could be more approachable. I didn't feel happy about my father staying there.
It has been a great comfort to me to know that she was so well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend Swallows Meadow to anyone seeking quality care for a relative.
Although my mother was only a resident at Swallow Meadow for seven months, she was treated with kindness and respect at all times.
All the staff treated her as family and we couldn't have asked for more.
Thank you.
