Excellent care for our mum with advanced dementia. The staff are kind, gentle and caring. Mum was always clean and smart. Staff were always on hand to care for mums needs.
My father spent the last month's of his life at Swallow Meadow Court, from day one he felt at home, all the staff where very professional, efficient and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The meals are of a good standard and always served on time. I would highly recommend Swallow Meadow to anybody looking for high-quality nursing care.
My father was a resident of Swallows Meadow Care home from December 2015 until March 2016. He had Lewy Body Dementia which brings it's own difficulties that are very hard to manage. As a relative to place a loved one into nursing home accommodation is one of the hardest decisions that will need to be made. My father made his home in Heron House, he loved it there and he enjoyed the company of the residents, loved all of the staff, was happy and content. I visited him every day at different times but often at tea time once I had finished work and was always made welcome, always offered a cup of tea, a sandwich or biscuit. During his time at Swallows Meadow Court my father was always treated with the utmost respect, dignity and kindness that anyone could wish for. My father passed away on the 25th March 2016 surrounded by the people that really did love and care for him. I could not have wished for better and I will be eternally grateful.
My sister, brother and I had to find a home for our father. We were recommended Swallows Meadow by someone we had appointed to help navigate the care system. We had not heard of Swallows Meadow, and had identified 1-2 other homes as possible. Nonetheless we selected Swallows Meadow on the advice we were given. My father has been in the home for about a month now. We are truly very happy with the home - the staff are just terrific, very caring and attentive, easy to talk to if we have any questions, always responsive if we need assistance for Dad, and the atmosphere in the home is relaxed and very welcoming; we could not wish for a better place for our father. It is hard to tell how Dad feels, but he does seem to have a good relationship with the staff, so we find that very reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend Swallows Meadow to anyone.
