Swan House

Since the new manager came in in February the home is going in an upwards direction. The whole atmosphere in the home has changed for the better it's a warm and welcoming experience. The staff are fabulous they give the residents the care and dignity they deserve always with a smile on their faces. I highly recommend anyone looking for a care home in Willenhall to consider Swan House it is such a difficult decision for a family to make you won't be disappointed.

Really good support for my nan going through the end of life. Treat the residents with dignity whatever the case and the staff seem absolutely lovely and the facilities are good and quite spacious for Nan to rest. A big thank you to all the staff for supporting my nan for the last few years.

Originally unsure about putting Mom into care, we need not have worried. The staff and management at Swan House are superb. The building is well kept internally and whilst plain is spotlessly clean. Mom, who at best could be described as a picky eater, assures me of how good and plentiful the food is. From what I have seen when visiting, which by the way visitors are welcome all day, the staff are extremely caring and very experienced in the way they handle and communicate with the residents. I only hope that when it's my time in life to receive care that the likes of Swan House are still there.

My mom has said she never knew that people could care as much as the staff here. The food is also very nice.

Overall, I am delighted with Swan House, not just for him but for me too.

Everyone is so helpful, especially in these difficult times. It's been a last resort placing my mum in a care home, but she seems happy and well settled.

We had to make a decision to put my mum-in-law to Swan House, which caused the family great distress but was not a worry once we got there. She was made very welcome, and they looked after her really well. It is all new to us all, but the staff there answered questions, kept us in touch on how she is, as she has dementia, this is hard, but the staff are great with her.

The care my mother received at Swan House is always fantastic; she feels happy and well cared for, which puts us at ease even more so during these uncertain times to know she is being given the best care possible.

Swan House is the perfect choice for my mama care. Staff are respectful and friendly and do all they can to look after the residents. Always inform us of what going on, and have been extremely helpful during the difficult time with Covid. My mam is a lot happier in herself just being here. Well done to everybody concerned. On the day of the visit, staff were helpful, explained visitation during quarantine and well on time. Grandmothers room is clean and tidy, and checks seem frequent.

Knowing things cannot be 100%, I know everyone in "Swan House" do their very best in caring for my husband. Anything I ask of them is never too much trouble. My husband is upstairs in the nursing part, so at the moment, he cannot go downstairs and mix, so there's no entertainment for him, so we depend on staff to keep him cheerful, which they got to great lengths to do so. I Skype most days and carers are good enough to set it up for home. I bought a tablet a few days before lockdown. I cannot say enough good things about all staff.

Visited my mother today. We are greeted promptly by the manager at the entrance to the home and asked to meet a nurse in the pod in the garden for a test for Covid. After text and wait for results in pleasant surroundings, we are escorted to Mother's room, wearing protective clothing. After allowed time, the nurse returns and escorted us back to reception. I visited with my son, and we're both happy with the experience.

The team at Swan House have done a fantastic job over the last 12-months keeping residents safe during extremely challenging times. They have kept us fully informed of any health issues and have been responsive when contacted by phone. They continue to strive to open the home to as many visitors as safely possible; we hope visiting can soon return to normal. A massive thanks to all the staff and their effort over the last 12-months.

The team at Swan House are really lovely and caring. The care home itself is very clean and welcoming. It would benefit from having more staff to ensure support for toileting requirements. The rooms are spacious and clean.

My aunt and uncle have received excellent standards of care in this home during the past few years since they've been there. Everyone, from the managers, deputy managers, cooks, cleaners, nurses and all carers treat them with dignity and love. They know them as individuals and go out of their way to meet their individual needs and personal likes and dislikes. On many occasions, they have even taken on duties in their own time - such as dropping off and picking up hearing aids, to enhance their personal comfort. They treat their residents like their own family, and this has been made very clear to me when speaking with my aunt and uncle, who talk about the staff as if they are an extension of our family. During the pandemic, it has been an enormous relief to me and my family, knowing that my aunt and uncle are in the care of such a professional, dedicated team. The staff are equally empathetic to me as a family member too, and I cannot praise them highly enough for their efforts.
