Overall Experience
Staff and management of Swan House.
I would like to thank you all for the excellent level of care and attention in all areas that you provided for my mother whilst in your care for the last year of her life.
When we decided to move my mother because she was clearly not being looked after elsewhere, we wanted to be sure we chose the right home and so we were extra vigilant in our search.
A true measure of quality care is what you see in the faces and body language of the residents and staff is a much better indicator of performance, attention and care.
We contacted the social services and medical agencies to apply for the funding and care package. Once again, the help and support from Swan House was excellent.
We were amazed at the short space of time it took for mother to settle in.

My mother’s dignity was always respected by the staff who were always very patient and prompt to attend to her needs.

Well organised. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very caring to everyone. Staff also relate very well with the patients and visitors.
Standard of cleanliness is very good. Rooms are well furnished and patients are allowed to have many personal items in their rooms so that they feel very homely.

Very good parking facilities.

Absolutely marvellous place. I had heard awful things about care homes - but not this one!
My mom is treated like a friend - Caring, considerate, nothing is too much trouble.

The carers are here for me too, a hug and kind words go a long way!

Extremely lovely home, very caring people always on the go. Whenever I go there they always make you feel very welcome. Activities are great to keep the residents fit and happy. A wide range of activity for all abilities so no one feels as though they can't join in on the fun. My relative is always telling me about how very happy they are at the home and settled. Definitely, recommend to others.

The care my Grandmother receives from all staff at Swan House is outstanding.
The home is always clean and 'homely' and the staff are always polite, helpful and appear attentive to all service users.

My Grandmother is very happy residing here and has built up positive relations with both staff and other service users, she is as happy here as she would be living with family.

I've been to visit my granddad at Swan House care home .. this is a few times I've been here and I have to say my grandad is very happy and settled .. everyone is very friendly ... I thought they all do a fantastic job ... ( I couldn't do it ) we visited when the activities ladies was doing " fine dining" and the food looked better than most restaurants. The ladies did tell us that the chef had done the food. It was a very nice experience for all the residents... they all seem to enjoy the food and .... alcohol free wine. The home is a nice happy place to visit. Keep up the good work.

We secured a room for my Aunt at Swan House in April 2016. She is a lovely person, 87 years old and has special needs. The death of her sister in April, who looked after her for 70 odd years left her confused and essentially homeless. Following initial respite care, and feeling dismay at solutions being offered elsewhere, we called into Swan House and asked if they could look after her. We were fortunate with the timing and she moved in a few days later. We have not looked back since and my aunt was welcomed into the home by the manager and staff .

She has settled in so well, her room is immaculate, the staff are kind and attentive, she is eating well. The staff have really taken to her and they treat her kindly and with dignity. She has gained confidence with staff and residents and we support them by visiting most days of the week.We are so pleased that Swan House took her in, will always be grateful.

I am a friend of a resident and have visited on many occasions. I have witnessed the staff talking to the residents with dignity and respect and nothing is too much trouble for them. One time I arrived when the residents were about to have their evening meal and was surprised and impressed by the choices they had and also the presentation. The layout of the home is spacious and immaculately kept, staff are always on there feet and doing something whether it be taking care of the residents or maintaining the cleanliness of the home. I would strongly recommend this care home to anyone who needs 24 hour care.

I have already recommended Swan House to friends due to the hard work that they do in caring and supporting my Pops. I know that he is not the easiest person to work with but nothing is too much trouble. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and manager there in making my Pops final few months a better place for him to be. Gold star award guys.

I met with the new manager who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the home and had a very caring attitude towards my father.
Its refreshing to see that a manager meets and greets not only the residents at the home but makes herself available to families at all different times when I'm sure that she has a great deal of work to do herself.

Keep up the fabulous work and congratulations to the company on your choice of manager.
