They took in my 90 year old mother in law for 5 weeks respite and she came out stronger and able to go back home. Thank you for all your care.
It was a pleasure to care for your mother-in-law, and we're delighted to hear she returned home feeling stronger. We wish her all the very best and are always here if you need us again.
On Mothering Sunday, I was invited to share lunch at West Eaton with my friend ( her family lives too far away to come often). The dining room was beautifully set, and I was made to feel very welcome. Everyone received a small gift. There were two large family groups (3 or 4 generations). I sat with my friend and two other ladies. The food was excellent, my dietary needs were catered for, and the atmosphere was friendly. Residents were treated with care and respect. It was like a family party; the staff couldn't have done more to make us happy.
We hope to welcome you back again soon.
Three generations in our family enjoyed a delicious meal with superb hospitality, thoughtful table gifts and pretty table decorations. No effort on the part of the staff at the home was spared. All were and are so friendly, obliging and courteous and made our day very special and memorable. A big thank you to everyone.
Looking forward to this week we know that there will be plenty of fun activities for all residents and that every day will be individually enjoyable.
It's always a pleasure to welcome you and thank you so much for your wonderful review.
A lovely home where the staff bring energy to the lives of the residents and go above and beyond to make their lives enjoyable. Lots of activities and special occasions are celebrated by the whole team. Residents comment that they enjoy living there.
We are passionate about creating a warm, vibrant environment where residents can continue to enjoy life to the fullest, and it's wonderful to hear that this is being felt and appreciated. Our team works hard to bring energy, meaningful activities, and special moments into each day, so your recognition of this is incredibly encouraging.
My wife was admitted to West Eaton in October 14th and I find everyone very friedly and helpfull. The staff allways ready to make my wife very comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble. I am glad my wife is here.
Knowing that you are glad your wife is here reassures us that we are achieving what we set out to do every day.
Thank you again for your trust and support - it is a privilege to care for your wife.
My mum has started displaying very challenging behaviour lately. The whole team remain kind, caring and professional. On Sunday her mood and the weather improved and so she was wrapped up snuggly and taken out briefly. She enjoyed herself so much and was just so happy. Also during a period of extreme anxiety a member of staff made the effort to search out prayers specific to her religion in an effort to comfort her. I am so extremely humbled by all the staff's continued care of my of my dear mum.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review, we are so glad that the team was able to support her in both her moments of anxiety and joy, and that they were able to bring her comfort through something as personal as her religion. It's wonderful to know that, even in...
My time here at West Eaton has been a rollercoaster for me. I can honestly say it has been a joy to be here. Each member of staff, from cleaner to manager, has played a part in getting me well and back to my old self. I had lost all ability to live. I wasn't taking my insulin (Type 1) or pills I slept in a chair for over 2 years. Now I sleep in a bed and take my insulin and pills on time. All the staff each have a special give. I love having a bath with all the bubbles as I don't have one at home. I have shed a few tears and had many a cuddle. They all show true happiness and love in their jobs. They are so all dedicated to every patient even the grumpy ones. The food is like a 4 star restaurant. I love you all and thank you so much.
Your words mean more to us than we can easily put into writing. To hear how far you have come, from regaining your independence to rebuilding healthy routines, is exactly why we do what we do. Your determination, combined with the commitment and compassion of our team, has clearly delivered real...

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We genuinely appreciate your kind words and are pleased to hear that your sister Barbara's respite stay was such a positive experience.
Creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for both residents...
I cannot praise the staff enough for the care and understanding they gave to my mother. They were wonderful throughout: they treated her as a friend or as one of their own family. She was mentally alert right until the end, and came to see West Eaton as her home rather than just "a" home. We found the management and staff friendly, approachable, and ready to make little changes to make her life more comfortable. I have visited several care homes recently and can definitely recommend West Eaton as the very best.
Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. We're truly honoured that your mother chose to make West Eaton her home, and it means a great deal to know that she felt comfortable, cared for, and part of our family during her time with us. Our team takes great pride in...
My father has been at West Eaton for 14 months now. The staff are amazing. Nothing is ever too much to ask. They look after all my fathers needs, including encouraging and supporting him in the pursuit of his hobbies and interests. All the staff (management, medical, carers, housekeeping and maintenance are so approachable and always willing to make necessary changes when requested, with immediate effect. This is a wonderful facility. We have been encouraged and supported in making my father's room his personal space. He has enjoyed and benefited from the activities and goes out on trips with staff. I can not thank the team at West Eaton enough for all their hard work and devotion.
Thank you so much for sharing such kind words. It means the world to us to know your father feels happy, cared for, and supported in doing the things he loves. We're so grateful for the trust you've placed in us, and it's truly a privilege to be part of his life and your family's journey. Your appreciation will be shared with the whole team - it really makes all we do worthwhile.
I found West Easton to be excellent in every way. I stayed there for 7 weeks from (6.6.25 - 28.7.25) after I fell and had an operation on my femur and hip.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience. We're delighted to hear that your 7-week stay at West Easton met your expectations in every way. Recovering from a femur and hip operation is no small journey, and we're glad our team could provide the care, comfort, and support you needed during that time. We wish you continued health and strength in your recovery.
I have made some lovely new friends, and West Easton has been very welcoming. It's friendly and clean with lots of things to do. I only stayed for respite, but I said to my granddaughter I have loved it here, I will be sad to go home. All the staff are lovely, they aren't just carers, they treat you like family. Thank you for the care and support I have been given here.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review and we're truly touched to hear that your time with us at West Easton was so meaningful. It's wonderful to know that you felt welcomed, made new friends, and enjoyed the activities and the community atmosphere. We're glad we could provide the care and...
I was particularly impressed by the staff, who were, without exception, giving me, and others I saw, such loving care.
Thank you for the review, I am pleased you were well cared for in the 2 weeks you spent with us.
My mum has been extremely well looked after since her arrival in December. The nurses know all her medical needs very well and she has made some lovely friends with the staff. Mum is happy and I am so utterly thankful for all the care and attention she has been given.
Thank you, we enjoy having your mum live with us and being able to take care of her.
My mother has recently died after five years at West Eaton. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They combined human warmth and humour with superb care throughout her time there. They adapted to the different stages of her health (and dementia), always helping her to enjoy life as much as she was able. Staff were always polite, calm, caring and friendly, and as a regular visitor I was always made welcome. Their different approaches to different residents was testament to their thoughtfulness and intention to do their best for every individual. I am immensely grateful to them all. The setting is wonderful. The view is lovely, the home is filled with natural and uplifting light and many residents and visitors make use of the garden.
Thank you so much, this really means a lot. It's truly been a privilege to care of your mom. She was a wonderful person, and we're grateful to have had her here with us. I'm glad we could be there for her and for your family.
If I ever have to go into a home I wouldn't hesitate to go into this one.
Thanks for your lovely review and I am pleased you chose West Eaton to take care of your mom in her final days.
From the moment of his arrival the staff were kind , attentive and welcoming and had arranged his favourite beer which meant so much at the time.
Our friend was only in the home for 14 weeks but during that time he was able to have somewhere he could call home . He loved the freshly homely cooking and had everything he needed in his room.
We can't thank the staff enough for all they did to make those 14 weeks comfortable for him. From the maintenance man to the cleaners , the cooks and nursing staff , everyone delivered outstanding care with love , compassion and dignity at all times.
We highly recommend the home from the experience we have had.
I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for your lovely review of West Eaton, your kind words mean so much to our team, who work hard to create a warm and supportive environment for all our residents.
Visits, crafts and music etc are clearly very actively planned by the staff so that options are available and suited to the needs of individual residents. In my mother's case this, I believe, has played a significant role in her comfort and contentment as her dementia has progressed.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt 5-star review. We're truly honored to care for your mother and are delighted to hear that you're pleased with the care she's received. Our team is dedicated to creating a warm and supportive environment where residents feel valued and loved, and it means so much to know that our efforts have made a difference.
First-class respite care for 3 weeks.
Thank you for your kind words John, it was an absolute honour to meet you and have you stay with us.
As a befriender, I visited every fortnight one of the care home residents. West Eaton has a lovely setting overlooking horses in a paddock at the back, and rolling hills at the front. The Home is immaculately clean, light, and airy, and the staff is friendly, professional, and attentive with a good sense of humour. There are always interesting events taking place - for example, a harpist came to play one afternoon last week and which was very well received. A few weeks ago chef made some cheese scones which I tasted and were delicious!
Many thanks for your review of West Eaton. We are incredibly fortunate to be situated in such a beautiful setting and as a team we are very grateful for your kind words about the all round excellent quality of care we deliver at West Eaton.

I am reliable and considerate and not shy to learn a new skill or take up a challenge and I believe my skills and experience in organizing projects align well with the role. Being able to think on my feet and act quickly has held me in good stead when activities don’t always go to plan.
Working in partnership with the local community, including schools, churches, charities, local groups and alongside residents’ family and friends has been a huge advantage to the lives of our residents.
