My father went in to The Lawns in May last year. He was welcomed the minute we walked through the door. The staff were very attentive and settled him in his room. He seemed very happy being there. I did visit him quite often and was welcomed by management and staff. Always a smiling face on reception
when I arrived and they were very helpful in helping me with queries. He was in there for over twelve months and was looked after well from beginning to end. The staff always rang me if there was a problem or queiry. I'd certainly recommend the home to anyone.

My mother recently joined The Lawns after a urinary tract infection made her unwell. She was so well cared for she has decided to stay. The staff are amazing. So professional and helpful to worried family but kind, caring and empathetic to my beloved mum. The rooms are clean. The staff are exemplary.
They listen and respond to requests. My registered blind and almost deaf mother loves it there.

Mum in law has dementia and is no longer able to cope on her own, she lives with my husband and it was her first time in a care home setting. I was a little apprehensive as to how she would settle in for 4 week respite care, but I need not have worried, the staff are all so friendly and supportive.
e were made to feel welcome when we visited and from the moment you walk in the door, their is a very homely feeling. Thank you for looking after mum.

The Lawns

Dad was no longer able to live alone being diagnosed with advanced Vascular Dementia. We chose the Lawns as a nursing home having visited without notice and met management and nursing staff, getting a good feeling. Lawns were wonderful in making Dad's discharge from hospital at short notice trouble
free, causing him as little stress as possible. Dad arrived at Lawns underweight and frail, with little interest in his surroundings and in engaging with others. He settled in quickly, gained weight and was gently integrated into life at Lawns. He needed nudging to join into activities, which with the sympathetic way his carers and activity staff acted began to happen, they got his sense of humour and he increasingly became his old self. We continued to visit Dad at Lawns without notice and consistently found him being looked after with compassion and genuine interest by the same cohort of carers month in and month out. Lawns End of Life care for Dad was faultless. Thank you.

Thank you all for the wonderful compassionate care that you showed my father in his final two weeks with you. We were so lucky to have you manage his end of life care.

You were all so incredibly kind and caring and I reference you fondly in the eulogy that I am writing.

Many staff had a special

touch with dad - being incredibly kind and you certainly helped him to settle in.

We are eternally grateful that we were lucky enough to have you care for our dad when he most needed it. Thank you again so much!

I stayed at Nowton for six weeks respite care. It is a lovely old building set in wooded area, very peaceful. Staff go out of their way to help but it is not a care home as such and one needs to be aware of the actual services provided. Care services such as help with bathing or mobility issues
are contracted by you with an independent care company. The manager Sam goes out of her way to assist and deal with any problems.

My mum has been a resident of Nowton Village for nearly a year now. I cannot recommend and thank all the staff enough for the care, attention and warmth they have shown and continue to show. Mum is well and truly part of the Nowton family now and alongside the wonderful staff the facilities are just
beautiful. Mum living at Nowton is such a comfort to us as her children, knowing she is safe especially after some challenging medical episodes. Thank you so much.

On Mothering Sunday, I was invited to share lunch at West Eaton with my friend ( her family lives too far away to come often). The dining room was beautifully set, and I was made to feel very welcome. Everyone received a small gift. There were two large family groups (3 or 4 generations). I sat with
my friend and two other ladies. The food was excellent, my dietary needs were catered for, and the atmosphere was friendly. Residents were treated with care and respect. It was like a family party; the staff couldn't have done more to make us happy.
