We are so grateful that he can continue to live in familiar surroundings and be cared for by the wonderful staff he knows, and know him. You have shown just how passionate you are in ensuring that vunerable residents receive the care they are entitled to.

When David could no longer manage at home the Lawns team restored his quality of life and we have fond memories and photos of Davids cheeky smiles during activities and visits. it was lovely to see his friendships between other residents and the staff, one big happy caring family.

The Lawns was home from home. With a lovely atmosphere.

I am very happy with the standard of care provided to my Mother. The whole team work together to provide an environment that is safe, caring, friendly and well managed. The atmosphere at the home is always positive and welcoming and the overall provision is excellent.

As a family we are absolutely delighted that our my mum is receiving exceptional care here. Without exception all the staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble. Not only do they look after our mum but have supported our family too. The building and grounds are beautiful, spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is a restful and peaceful environment. Residents have lovely freshly cooked meals every day. Visitors too can have a two course lunch for a very small charge. The frequent entertainment programme is fun and offers a huge range of activities. Without doubt we would highly recommend Abberton Manor and are very grateful for all the love and care they are providing.

We have been extremely pleased with Summerdyne and the care, support and kindness shown to my Mom and all of our family. I would recommend Summerdyne to anybody who was looking for a home.

My brother has been a resident at Abberton Manor for nearly two years, two years of exceptional care! The staff are caring, attentive and, most important, recognise each resident as an individual, not a 'task'. A comfortable environment, excellent meals, attentive nursing and personal care and also a creative activities program that includes bringing the local community to the residents. As a residents relative I particularly appreciate the good communication with the staff. First rate!

Newstead House in Hereford is the most amazing place, with an incredible team! Who are kind, compassionate, caring, and very supportive to each and every resident and family and friends! Words can't describe how fantastic that team is! Thankyou always Newstead in Hereford.

Could not ask for More! Nothing too much trouble - Always Friendly and Informative - Felt like they were one of the family and we were always made to feel Welcome,

During this call with (Lisa care home manager), we explained our Father's condition at length, Lisa seemed more interested in 'glossing over' our Father's health concerns, to upsell Abberton manor to us!. We were totally transparent about the fact our Father was blind, had dementia and was traumatised by the very recent loss of his wife of 60 years. The main reason for choosing Abberton Manor was location to my Father's beloved Mersea. On admitance (January 10th 2026), we were greeted with agency nurses who didn't seem to be aware of our presence, let alone my Fathers complex needs!. He was assigned an upstairs room ( he's blind!), I insisted on a sensory mat, to avoid my Father falling down a winding staircase!. Even when the mat buzzed no one came!, this happened regularly!. Abberton Manor has an ethos of money over care!

Mel and her team at The Lawns looked after my Auntie from January 2025 until August 2026 . She was very poorly unable to walk when she arrived after a spell in hospital over Christmas. The care , love and support she received gave her a new lease of life and she really enjoyed her time there . She has some quite complex medical issues but Mel overhauled her medication and pain relief with her GP that meant she wasn't in constant pain anymore and got her walking again . She enjoyed the activities so much and the staff always made a fuss of her . She has now moved to a care home near my mum ( her sister ) as the journey to visit every week at 83 was becoming harder . Mel handled the whole handover process so well and personally bought all her personal effects over and made sure she was settled in her new home . Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Mel and your team are amazing and I would definitely recommend The Lawns to anyone looking for care for their loved ones x

Mum is very happy at West Eaton and the whole family are delighted with her care. The staff are lovely, it's in a gorgeous countryside setting and there are plenty of activities to keep residents occupied. I can't recommend West Eaton highly enough- thank you!

Wonderful staff each and everyone who works at the Manor, are kind and enthusiastic with fantastic personalities with all of the residents. The nursing staff, are great and extremely knowledgeable the residents have the kindest of care. All the boys and girls on the care team are extremely hard working and yet always have the time to sit and chat with residents as well as there visitors and keep everybody upto speed. Kitchen, cleaning, office, handyman/gardening and entertainment really go the extra mile. Bravo Team Abberton Manor.

Mum has been resident since April 2026. The Lawns has a friendly caring and patient team who helped her settle in well and provided Mum with all of her support needs. Mum enjoys the varied activities provided.

Our Mum was looked after by The Lawns for a relatively short period in June 2026. The care she received was first class. She loved her room, the excellent food and the nursing care was A1.

Sadly she passed away within a month of moving there but it did mean that the last few weeks of her life she was looked after like royalty. Wonderful home and very highly recommended.
